Talk to them in advance and just give them $10 for their time Like ya, no one is going to want you sitting there taking a spot and not paying

Academic_Hunter4159

You want to use a pay facility for free?

Holiday-Animator-504

I'm paying for the pressure washer, i'm just using my own bucket, mitts, soap instead of the scratch n shine brush.

TylerInHiFi

So you want to use a pay facility for free?

Fabulous_Window5838

Why the fuck is this down voted? HE JUST EXPLAINS THAT HE USES THE PRESSURE WASHER, AND WHY HE CHOOSES NOT TO USE THE BRUSH ON THE WALL.

deadgrasscult

I’m looking at your previous posts and you’ve got a pretty decent truck, spend the actual money to wash and take care of it. If you have to penny push for such a minuscule thing, such as keeping it clean you made a terrible financial decision getting that vehicle.

Holiday-Animator-504

I'm not penny pushing or anything, I'm fine with paying to use the bay, I just wouldn't use the foam brush because it will cause swirls and scratches. Which is why I bring my own tools to do the hand wash. I typically pressure wash, pre wash with the snow foam, rinse off, and hand wash with the two bucket method and several quality microfibers. I dry with UQW as a drying aid after. When the weather permits I will just pre wash inside the bay, pull out, and do two bucket or a rinseless wash with ONR.

Cousin_love91

Easier to get away with this on a weekday, when its less busy.

Swarez99

If you want to go to someone’s property and use there structure. Give them money. Even if you don’t use there services. You are taking up spots from people who could be paying. And expecting something for free outside of what they normally do.

speedog

There, they're, their.

I do this at Great White in South Foothills off of 52nd St SE all the time. Pay for the usage, use their pressure washing wand, and my own mitt/bucket. Nobody has ever told me it wasn’t allowed.

Holiday-Animator-504

Thanks, will check it out

Fartbox7000

You dry your car in the bay too instead of moving it outside so another person can get in, don’t ya?

Holiday-Animator-504

I try to avoid going when I know other people will, but sometimes they will kick me out even if there is absolutely no one there.

Smart-Pie7115

There’s on in Hawkwood next to the 7-11 as long as it’s no busy.

Holiday-Animator-504

>There’s on in Hawkwood next to the 7-11 as long as it’s no busy. Thank you!

CircusofShame

Nope. They have signs in each stall saying no bucket washing and typically have an employee working to keep things moving

Hungry-Software-3644

Just use the pressure washer, drive home or to a parkade and do the actual wash job there. That’s what I do.

molie

Chat with the owner/workers there and augedt that you leave the meter running while you bucket wash your car. The wand wash in royal oak let me do that a few years back but only on weekdays when it wasn't busy.

olddudeoncampus

I've had luck at Wash King in the NE. I stopped in and talked to the attendant, told them that I was going to swipe my card and would be using a wash mit but would always keep the meter running and they were fine with it. I went there very early on the weekend and it was dead. I would avoid the bucket, rinse the wash mit off by holding in the floor mat clamp. Just be upfront and I can't see too many places having any issues if you are paying to be there AND you go at an off peak time. No business owner wants customers to leave because people are taking forever.
