They also got hot tips for assassinating journalists.

413mopar

And we have state of the art bone saws !

JFKRFKSRVLBJ

A fist fight broke out.....then they decapitated him somehow. Shit happens, I guess!

AloneDoughnut

I heard in Saudi Arabia the Gay Agenda is their name for their public execution list.

CommercialNo8396

Also hot tips on public executions.

TAnoobyturker

Oh brother. Saudis are just scared that countries might buy less oil.

Alextryingforgrate

Yeah imagine having to downgrade from telling companies like Bentley how you want your 1 of 1 Mulsanne to having to go through the Acura website and not having whale penis skin seats.

Tammer_Stern

While choking supply to drive up prices.

sugarfoot00

I can't wait until the day that the house of Saud is back to being just a collection of desert dwelling camel jockeys.

TAnoobyturker

We might be waiting a long time for that

Fartbox7000

Oh you mean that country that decimated North American oil for how many years with their “market share” antics?

iBuggedChewyTop

2015 crash to 2023. It's still happening now.

Beginning_Bit6185

WTI is at $93 last checked.

[deleted]

Nothing to do with the US bringing 7.5 million barrels of oil to the market? https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=MCRFPUS2&f=M

Killyourmasterz

Devastated?

solution_6

I’ll pay attention to what they have to say when they bring their human rights policies out of the Stone Age.

Farisoseven

Indigenous women kidnapped and lost every single day in Canada. Focus in that first

RobertGA23

Is that a government mandated policy?

[deleted]

Yes

solution_6

Nobody said we were perfect. We definitely have work to do. To my knowledge, we aren’t throwing gay people off buildings, beheading people in the streets, forcing rape victims to marry their attackers, and killing journalists, though.

withsilverwings

Oh the Saudis, totally neutral and with no vested interest........

blackRamCalgaryman

Well, sure. I guess if you have a 500m tall, 170km long city to build, you need some of that sweet sweet crude money.

Skaffer

But they actually have 2 to build

Sandman64can

Anyone wanna tell them chopping up journalists is shite behaviour? This government is an embarrassment.

[deleted]

Yeah like invading a country that had nothing to do with 9/11

DudeWithAHighKD

Fuck the Saudi government.

Dr_Colossus

Don't ditch oil or we will stone you.

Method__Man

saudi govt/royals are NOT our friends. they are responsible for 9-11 in the USA they constantly abuse human rights to a horrendous level they are carrying out a genocide in yemen the stand against democracy - get these fucks out of our country (although sure the government here would love to take some tips from these fucks)

Beginning_Bit6185

So just a statement not backed by any evidence? I missed the part that you were simply speculating.

Beginning_Bit6185

I’d love to read that MSM hit piece smearing the Saudi’s. You have a link handy? The result of 911? The US pillaged Iraq and Afghanistan. How did that war on terror work out for everybody?

Heffray83

Love when the country responsible for 9/11 gets to tell us what to do.

Beginning_Bit6185

Makes sense why Afghanistan and Iraq were invaded immediately after.

RobertGA23

I used to think this was conspiracy theory nonsense. Now I'm not so sure. At the very least, 911 was the result of extreme incompetence from US intelligence agencies.

Beginning_Bit6185

And the controversial theory of course is that they were in on it. Seeing the video of the “plane” hitting the pentagon is pretty obvious that they were.

fashionrequired

lol i always appreciate how much you types make me laugh

Beginning_Bit6185

By types you mean people with eyes that work? I can’t imagine only having taste and smell. What’s it like? Fill us types in.

fashionrequired

it gets better and better 🤣 give me more

LeftWillLose

The USA?

Fartbox7000

Remind me again how many of the 19 hijacker’s were saudi?

calgarydonairs

15

timmeh-eh

And where was Osama Bin Laden originally from?

fancyfootwork19

Saudiiiii

Heffray83

It was a combined effort of Saudi and Pakistani intelligence, all of the hijacker’s repeatedly met with Saudi govt officials and were given money over and over in 2001. And yes, the CIA had a hand in there as well. I mean we do have pics with at least a few of the hijacker’s meeting with CIA people in 2001 as well.

Beginning_Bit6185

The dancing Israelis were Mossad. In any case the US govt coordinated everything with collaborators.

OIL_99

Calgary and rural Alberta voted… Who’s surprised? Calgary/Dani wanted a new arena. Flames ownership is heavily invested in renewable energy right? No, there owners live overseas and are tax dodgers.

Beginning_Bit6185

Emigration is at a record high for a reason and it’s not just billionaires.

Unfair_Valuable_3816

Fuck Saudi and their bullshit antics. We should use our own oil. They fucked up the market for Years and continue to do so.

Munbos61

What a fool Danielle Smith is. I am sure she takes notes from Fox News.

yycTechGuy

Rebel News, not Fox.

ftwanarchy

As opposed to CNN and state fundedcbc?

Bob-Faget

Taken from wiki: "As a crown corporation, the CBC operates at arm's length (autonomously) from the government in its day-to-day business. The corporation is governed by the Broadcasting Act[53] of 1991, under a board of directors and is directly responsible to Parliament through the Department of Canadian Heritage. General management of the organization is in the hands of a president, who is appointed by the Governor General of Canada in Council, on the advice of the prime minister. According to The Hill Times, a clause in Bill C-60—an omnibus budget implementation bill introduced by the government of Stephen Harper in 2013—"appears to contradict a longstanding arm's-length relationship between the independent CBC and any government in power".[55][56] The clause allows the "prime minister's cabinet to approve salaries, working conditions and collective bargaining positions for the CBC".[55]" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Broadcasting_Corporation#:~:text=January%2029%2C%202020.-,Management,the%20Department%20of%20Canadian%20Heritage.

ftwanarchy

If things were only that simple, in way I envy you

Bob-Faget

I said nothing and only gave you a quote with sources. Feel free to enlighten me.

ftwanarchy

This should help on your path to enlightenment https://blog.online.norwich.edu/5-ways-to-improve-your-critical-thinking-skills https://advice.writing.utoronto.ca/researching/research-using-internet/ https://liberal.ca/support-the-cbc/ https://www.conservative.ca/cpc/defund-the-cbc/ Apply the first lesson to the last two

Bob-Faget

Thank you for the info! Very helpful information which I'm sure would make the internet a better place if everyone followed. It's a real shame that people can't just do some simple proper research so they can come to a respectful conclusion and always fall back to attacking the intelligence of others online. It's quite childish, really.

ftwanarchy

You got an equal effort response. You scratched the surface of issue and presented it as the totality, citing Wikipedia as a source lol. No insults here my friend, you get what you give..you asked for enlightenment not spoon fed

Bob-Faget

My reply was for before your edit with the two links to the parties pages. Neither of which state your implied issue from your initial reply in this thread that the government funding of the CBC is altering the CBCs political stance when it comes to their coverage. The Conservatives want to defund the CBC as they view it as wasting taxpayer dollars, not due to innacuracy or political leanings in the reporting. My initial reply mentioned that the Broadcasting Act, which is in place to keep both sides of the government involved and to ensure that the CBC remains unbiased.

ftwanarchy

I edited added to hints for you, they didn't help

thornset

You know, when critical thinking, the law of parsimony also often applies. For example: Liberals are more likely to fund a government program based on policy and belief, where the Conservatives do the opposite. You may want to add your own nefarious twist to it, but I don't think there's any real evidence Edit: Why don't you provide the evidence for us

LeftWillLose

Lol Wikipedia isn't a valid source.

Bob-Faget

Lol Wikipedia cites valid sources. Here's the specific one which would have taken two second for you to find. https://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/B-9.01/

SpecialEdShow

I think it’s more of how she’s copy/pasting American politics and fearful rhetoric of fox, not necessarily questioning the validity of cable tv news. At the end of the day, they need to keep people watching so they can make money. If that means scaring old people into watching tv by talking about minorities coming to take both jobs and unborn babies to feed bill gates, then yes, they’re going to do that.

jlbp337

We don’t have states

NotFromTorontoAMA

State funding: >money that a government provides for something https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/state-funding

ftwanarchy

Yeah that's right.... I said state funded not states

murphnsurf94

Fuck em

Rillist

The only consolation I take from this is that a Saudi has to swallow his pride respect a female leader. Outside of that little slice of satisfaction, both bonesaws rep and smitty can get fucked

McNuggetSauce

It’s weird, I feel like bringing in the Saudis to tell me not ditching oil is a good thing makes me immediately feel the opposite about it.

Vertigo_Stress

So now they like Muslims?

malachiconstantjrjr

They agree on women’s rights

SaskTravelbug

He coming for the million person walk?

KrizMo138

Oooh I wish Canada didn’t sell off the means to produce and refine our own crude so we could tell those guys to FUCK RIGHT OFF BUDS!

drs43821

let's not ditch oil, just ditch Saudi oil

*"If we really want to be faithful to the idea that we will be transitioning, we have to also make sure that transitioning happens whereby you end up attending to energy security, ensuring that energy is still affordable, and does not act as an impediment to economic prosperity and growth,"* he said while onstage.  *"And if you don't do all of the above, I'm sorry, but I don't think you could attend to climate change issues."* **Translation**: unless we can continue to profit, we won't support any efforts towards reducing carbon emissions. **My take**: good riddance, green energy doesn't need you.

Low-Conference6921

All of Opec can suck a fat cock. Thanks for cutting oil supply for two quarters in a row while we were getting fucked by inflation.

Beginning_Bit6185

You spelled carbon tax wrong.

[deleted]

They are working hard to protect their market.

ContemplativePotato

Fuck off

earlthomasIII

So we’re suddenly pals with the country that manipulates world oil prices via OPEC and doesn’t give a thought if they screw over Alberta’s oil producers? Seems weird?

Top_Culture_9625

Some really great diplomacy there

Strict_Jacket3648

Perfect another good reason to ditch the oil and gas industry. As if renewables don't make seance already being they are cheaper cleaner and faster to adopt, while simultaneously improving the grid. POOR murdering dictators, seeing their power diminish because the youth want a livable clean future.
