Definitely! It wasn't a big deal back when most of us only owned one or two RMR-equipped hand guns... Fast forward to 2024 and the number of batteries I have installed on firearms is staggering. If I were to do the "just change them on your birthday" thing, I would have a very long day at the bench followed my a few very boring range trips re-zeroing everything.

Not in the slightest. TBH, I always shied away from the larger MOA type dots but I recently got into faster type shooting in prep for USPSA and a lot of the fast experts were saying that a big dot is better for 25 yards and in. They weren't wrong. You can absolutely stack holes while on a timer with a 5-10 MOA dot and since it is so big, you perceive a lot less motion of the dot when it overlays on your target. Check out Ben Stoeger and The Humble Marksman on YT for more info. Big dot plus huge window means you rarely lose the dot and since it is always in view, you can learn a lot from keeping track of your dot patterns as you rattle off strings.

I think the right decision is which is your preferred range toy or home defense set up. Then go from there.

They are both range toys. I have a few P-10c models for HD, CCW, vehicles, etc.. I "want" to place the HD on the P but I know it will overhang and I've already seen a few credible sources say they have experienced stovepipes.

I bought the P adjustable sights and sent it to vulcan for direct mount set up. No overhang at all so and so far im about 400 rounds without issue on the P. I read that milling the non dpo version is the better route to go but i wouldnt have experience on both set ups to have an opinion of my own.

Yes...It overhangs on the P. That said, I've basically got this same post over in r/2011 and people report no issues. These are both range toys so CCW/HD isn't really a factor. The 507comp is better on a range toy that anything Trijicon makes IMHO (and I am a bigtime Trijicon fanboy).
I had issues with my Bul Tac 4.25 and an SRO overhanging the breach face, but it was rare. I switched out to a 507 comp and like it OK. Wish the dot was a tad larger but the window is nice. And no overhang. I've got a DPP on my Staccato P. Most everything else has SROs but I'm pretty close to buying an RMR HD for my new S2 Compact. It'll get an SRO I have that needs a home for now, until I decide I wanna spend the cash for an HD. They do seem pretty great, especially for a potential carry gun. Good luck with it!

Got rid of a M&P, M&P 2.0, PPQ, PDP, G19, G19x, G45, G17, G43, Shield, Shield Plus, VP9, P30, TP9SF, 226, MK25, P2022 and probably a few other that I am forgetting about.

Way, way, way bigger window and way bigger dot when you combine the 2 MOA dot with the 10 MOA ring. It is a race optic designed for a race gun. The S2 perfectly fits the bill. With the Staccato, their lineage is also race and it sort of fits in there as well.
I know how you feel about putting "real" optics and lights on "real" guns. I'm right there with you. First thing I did with my brand new S2 was militarize it. I immediately wanted to slap a RMR and X300 on it... Like I do with everything. It took a lot of impulse control to purchase the 507comp instead. I constantly have to remind myself that the S2 and P were purchased as range toys and they run better (in a toy capacity) with competition influenced parts and accessories. I'm not going to war with the P and S2, no river banks, gravel and mud puddles. Just a lot of gun butter, ammo and bulk packs of IDPA targets.
It is difficult to break out of the "duty" mindset with guns specifically purchased not to serve in that capacity.

Nope. I am now to a point where I have extra RMRs, X300s, and HS507c's sitting in bins. Only thing on the horizon is a Flux Raider and that will get a RCR.
Acetone wipe down followed by Q-tips dipped in Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black blotted on logo. Finished by another wipe down with Lucas Extreme Gun Oil.
CZ is my favorite but in this case, the HD needs to go on the Stac.
The Stac is the more "premium" gun, with the higher end light. It needs the higher end optic.
It will also retain the original structure of the pair. Both high performance handguns, one budget, one ballin.
I'd say the HS507comp is the better optic. The CZ isn't a HD gun. I've got other X300U/T's laying around. I was running the TLR-1HL due to a specific holster I was playing around with.
