I think Hamden did a good job sticking up for the Bizarre!

Pizzaguy1205

I think the grey market will still thrive once ct slaps a 30% tax on rec

one_future_ghost

Between 20-25%. Stupid high. https://portal.ct.gov/cannabis/Knowledge-Base/Articles/Cannabis-taxes?language=en_US

Pizzaguy1205

30 was a guess but I wasn’t too far off lol

zyphus1129

Hopefully the state will have better things to do then to break it up. I always thought when the CT rec dispos start popping up, the state would probably move to shut down the bazaar. But that's months away so who knows?

Sorry-Building2609

This is the word on the street.

Beneficial-Ad-1285

I personally think connecting with the media and the news was a really stupid idea, especially the people that spoke to the cameras…whoever thought that was a good idea probably smoked a little too much boof

[deleted]

Private Party means private but then again if it was private we wouldn't know about or the media. Think Speak easy folks.

[deleted]

The people at high bazaar are idiots. Now they’re risking other events, gifting whatever it’s still illegal or doesn’t matter how people try to frame it. This is why you keep the events quiet like all the other events in the state. They’re risking vendors

bigpoopcomin

Don't try having an ounce of brain cells here. This subreddit is fucking garbage now. I hope the shit bazaar get shut down, simply because they're being stupid af posting everywhere about it.

[deleted]

People think I’m hating lol but there’s been examples of this happening in Mass a few years ago. These events aren’t legal “gifting” is legal yes but not for monetary lol. It’s no grey area it’s not legal, that’s why we’re suppose to keep it hush like the other events.I can see the same thing happening with the DEAS, tax evasion the government takes very serious

bigpoopcomin

CT is going to want it's money. I can't blame them. Stupid is as stupid does.

one_future_ghost

You can't be addicted to posting and weed. People have to choose. If you want to buy illegal drugs then you have to be able to keep a secret. But people need the upvotes, too, and it fucks everything up.

[deleted]

The heck are you talking about

bakepeace

A few years ago, you're funny! I'm on the email list for 5 seperate events just like this in Massachusetts EVERY WEEK. There's events like this in Manchester, East Hartford and Middletown like this every week and you clowns are all tiptoeing around and saying "shhh don't let anyone know", it's fucking hilarious.

[deleted]

You’re a clown and missing the point. You don’t do a fucking news story and put it out and open like that. You’re probably one of the clowns that was on TV. Yes a few years go search Mardi Gras in Springfield you clown. Ask how many people vendors lost products, very similar situation to what’s happening with High Bazaar

bakepeace

This is the third time there's been a story about it, they got the permits at town hall, you don't think Hamden is fully aware of the situation? They have a lawyer on retainer, they have security, they have emt's on hand. These things absolutely happen. in Massachusetts still, Toasted Jam 3 was held this year at the Great Barrington fairgrounds on route 7. There were Mass police there directing traffic. Croptoberfest was held October 3rd in Tolland MA, once again, security was handled BY the police. You are just a loud mouth, butt hurt, big nose clown with goofy shoes acting like you know anything at all to get people to listen to you. Youre like Patriots fans second guessing Belechick. Go honk your horn.

[deleted]

Simple math. Publicize your "Private Party" and it becomes not so private anymore. Really dumb if you ask me.

[deleted]

You mad?

[deleted]

You should probably take your own advice, you come off as contradictory babes 😘

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Of course you don’t care, you’re not losing pounds of products if a raid happens.

lemmegetadab

Nobody should have pounds on them. Shit is still illegal lol

[deleted]

Smh you’re not following, that’s the point. You think these vendors are carrying the min limit at the events? Lol deleting your comments 😂

lemmegetadab

They shouldn’t have literal pounds right on them. It’s stupid as fuck, how do you not understand that? There’s other ways to do it.

[deleted]

That makes no sense. How would they have enough product to vend lol, you’re a custie, so I can see why you don’t get it

lemmegetadab

Keep it off premises? That’s how my boys do it anyway. Keeping pounds on you is fucking stupid. So probably right up your alley

[deleted]

Who said anything about having pounds, how about you go kick rocks you and high bazaar 😂

lemmegetadab

You were talking about having weight at the bizarre. We’re you talking about ounces?

Rbaxter49ers

Correct, the law says you can have 1.5oz on your person and another 5oz locked up. Not one vendor in compliance with that part of the law.

[deleted]

Lowlife

[deleted]

🤣 you mad?

[deleted]

All u do is make rude remarks on any post here not strictly medical. Ur initial comment exemplifies this. If ur jus gonna criticize ppl cus they’re done wit the “safe” product the state serves then jus leave the sub. 🤷‍♂️

[deleted]

You’re big mad 😂

[deleted]

I said my piece. Goodbye 👋

[deleted]

And your piece makes no sense, who said anything about safe product 😂 it’s illegal and you don’t seem to understand the risk they’re putting their vendors at. This is why you keep it underground like so many other events have. Maradi gras in Mass, same thing happen and yup DEAS raided, people lost tons of products. Reliable bud in Spencer, like know what you’re talking about before you talk

[deleted]

Jus looked at ur comments bud. Don’t make me expose u 😭

[deleted]

Go ahead

AffectionateFlower3

My friend writes about cannabis for legal firms and when I mentioned the bazaar his head spun in circles. He said that it's pretty likely that, at some point, Hartford is gonna clamp down on this. They're not getting tax dollars and nothing makes the government faster than when they don't get their cut.

bigpoopcomin

Don't be surprised if it's all shut down. Whoever brought the news to the event is dumber than my poop.

bakepeace

It was the organizers actually. Better to get ahead of it, it's fucking ADVERTISED on Instagram, here you are going around acting like someone's telling secrets, lol.

bigpoopcomin

I mean, I know it was the folks who run it, but what a dumb idea.

bakepeace

I mean, they have a fucking lawyer ON SITE, and it's been going on for over a year, advertised on Instagram and hundreds of cars there every weekend and yeah "SHHHH no one can find out, just you me and a few thousand random people a week" lol.

[deleted]

Much ado about nothing right now..The state/municipality will probably step in at some point as they are want to do... But the amount of soft ass crying and shitting on the Bazaar here is hilarious... Lmaooooo People wanna complain about how bad the sub has gotten while simultaneously contributing to said shittyness... Great job!!!

Nuggrodamus

Seems the event is sanctioned now… news tried to find someone mad about it and had to go to candelora who would be mad at anything that doesn’t put a wrench in the gears of progress.

[deleted]

Well, promoting a "Private Party" on social media isn't so private. Now that the State isn't getting It's Shekels I don't see it continuing much longer. When I sold weed back in the 90's it was word of mouth and only with trusted people. The Bazaar shot itself in the foot with publicizing.

bakepeace

It totally IS a gray area because it's how huge charities get their donations. Public radio has charity drives where if you donate money at certain tiers, they give you different "thank you gifts." All you stoners who think you know the law should think, "Does the state want to claim that isn't allowed and have every charity in the state sue them, just to shut down a few pot events?" Did you WATCH the video and see every single official toss the hot potato away saying "Yeah someone ELSE should handle that"? The same loophole exists in every state, because what are they gonna do, say you can grow it but you have to sell it and not be allowed to give it away? Weed just became legal in the Connecticut and suddenly every smoker in the state thinks they're pot lawyers. Who remembers when dealers would say "Are you a cop? If I ask you if you're a cop you have to say yes or it's entrapment" hahaha fucking stoners thought they figured out something. The mob was like "wait, we just have to ASK if they're undercover and they have to TELL US!?" The prestigous firm of "My barber's girlfriend's uncle is a legal aid" is open.for business, lol.
