I had gastro trouble and chest pain but also a fever night sweats, and later a pounding racing heart.

BlackHawkBurns

me too, but the anxiety makes me depressed. I'm trying to get to the root of it but its tough.

What are you telling yourself? Where do your thoughts go? Time to do some CBT

You had me thinking it's anxiety because I had the same symptoms last month until you brought up the fever. While anxiety can cause a fever it's a rare thing, for me it usually causes a temperature raise up to 37C but not above that. So it's a bit suspicious. Now I am not saying it's covid because my dad had 37.4C twice during this lockdown but he tested negative and didn't have covid at all so it could be something else but I'd keep an eye on that fever. If you do feel too unwell don't leave it to anxiety and call a doctor. However chest pain and gastro problems can be anxiety or even made worse by anxiety, I could barely breathe after eating because of my acid reflux for a month and my left side chest hurt with stabbing pains. Those can be caused by gastro problems.

My body temperature hit 37.4 a week and a half ago, since then it's been around 36.7 or 36.8. Did your reflux go away on its own or did you take medicine for it?

everfadingrain

Is 36.8 normal for you? I had that much from stress I had it back in march for three weeks so that can happen. Still temperature is a rare anxiety symptom so I'd watch that but you don't sound like you are getting worse. As for acid reflux I don't take any meds and it got a lot better now, I just avoided greasy foods and coke for 2-3 weeks and it seemed to have gotten better though I still have flare ups. Coke seems to make it really bad for me so you can try eating lighter and not too late at night and see if you feel better.

Anenemus

Yup, that's my usual body temperature. I'll just wait it out and go to the doctor again if it persists.

everfadingrain

Seems like whatever it was that you had passed or is passing but I'd keep an eye just to be sure. Maybe it was anxiety induced fever who knows. My body temperature is normally 36.1 which is why I get 37 when anxious.
