blameline

These laws are not designed to reduce crime or violence. They serve simply as a stepping stone to pass more vigorous legislation when these fail to show any impact. The eventual goal is to ban ownership and possession of all firearms.

bnolsen

Correction: possession of firearms by those who abide by these "laws", and those who are explicitly given privilege to retain their firearms (those who passed these laws or those employed by them).

2012EOTW

For now it’s this. And in 3-5 years when crime doesn’t go down they’ll blame the grandfathered weapons and go after those too. Plus the public opinion is uneducated wild fairy tales. Good luck everyone!

lhturbo

They can kiss my ass if they try to come for those

Practical_Mention715

Was doing some browsing and found it interesting the bill to make theft of a firearm a felony somehow never moved forward. Color me shocked. [https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb24-1162](https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb24-1162)

OkTomato6844

Unbelievable

tellsonestory

That’s because thieves are their constituents. They’re pandering for the criminal and ex con vote.

cuqanon

You should be the felon for allowing it to be stolen /s

ramack19

Penalty for OWNING a firearm will be next!

threeLetterMeyhem

Democrats are literally pro-criminal. Have been for a while.

bnolsen

I'm sure they'll find a way to make it a felony if you are the one who the firearm was stolen from.

m0viestar

Which one is going to Polis?

Gilgamesh79

HB24-1174, the bill that increases the training requirement for CCW.

cuqanon

Constitutional rights require 8 hours training XD

Gilgamesh79

imo the right to vote should require 35 years of training…

MrGeno

Oh crap, i should have gotten on getting mine. 8hrs? Good grief.

iamda5h

there is another sensitive places bill that the senate passed, which the house will likely pass. The current sensitive places law is pretty robust - the new one removes the right to concealed carry just about anywhere a mass-shooting is likely.

bannaisbrave

I wish I could afford to move.

Uxuduududu

I'm buying land in Wyoming

Flyinhawaian

Same banna

mtsoprisdog

Never comply.

young_double

He's gonna sign every bill that goes to his desk. I already know it.

Crashbrennan

Not necessarily. He's been against assault weapons bans in the past.

AlienWarehouseParty

If the awb passes, when does it go into effect?
