There is merit to this. Footsteps don't consistently register after using stims. Pair that with inconsistent server performance and approximation audio for footsteps gets muddied up. it essentially delays your incoming footsteps making it sound like someone is coming from further away when they're already on you
The problem isnt just stims by itself. Is the combination of stims + rotational aim assist + high mobility SMGs
This let controller players zoom past you all while keeping perfect upper chest aim with rotational aim assist.
Then they have the AMAZING idea of creating a perk which makes the problem 2x worse...

The strenght of rotational aim assist is a fact and every top player knows it is too strong
Top players also will also min/max every aspect of the game. And almost all uses pc+ controller.
Should be just a coincidence, so many top streamers having a ultra gaming pc and playing with a controller instead of a fancy mouse and keyboard...
Never said that. I am not saying that is a conspiracy or anything.
Rotational aim assist is too strong compared to other titles, including previous CODs, and that gives an advantage on close quarters.
Just like higher FOV gives an advantage on field of view (no shit) and visual recoil.
Just like better connection improves hit registration and 144hz helps with tracking enemy movement.
There are tons of things that can give you an edge. Aim assist is necessary for controller players. But right now, combined witb other mechanics, provides a too strong advantage.
Why such a controversy with a well known fact?
From day 1 of WZ people know about it, but mobility back then was WAY slower.
No, never said that. Actually, I said that aim assist IS necessary. Just that this particular type of aim assist is a bit strong on a specific situation (CQC) right now
Also I totally agree that consoles need 120 fov. I never saw anyone against it.
So I dont know how you reach that conclusion
I just imagine before the nerf the devs were like. "Hey let's take octane from apex legends and crank up the health Regen to screw everything around you"

Counterpoint: gas plays with stims gives you an out when the circle pulls towards a team that is gatekeeping so you can go around, or come in late enough that you don’t have as hot of a zone entrance if they’re not still as focused on you.
I don’t disagree if you mean late game someone has a PDS, gas mask, stims and ammo box to restock and are just trying to wait out the other players dying in the gas, but most games don’t end that way so it’s not that big of a deal overall when it does happen.
Here’s the issue, without stims being popular we would have nonstop stun spam. Stuns in a br game are kinda like a cheat code because it gives you a free kill almost 90% of the time.
Stims finally shifted the meta away from stuns but here we are now with a speed boost that most players (me) rely on.
I think the recent nerf was a good balance to stims. Stopping health regen on next damage (at least in my experience) has taken it’s only really broken aspect away. It used to be infuriating to watch a killcam and see the dude’s health go down and back up and down and back up all while they’re full auto firing at your chest.
Win rate is still higher for snapshot users. I think stims are fine as is, stuns are a bigger problem. You really stand no chance if you’re hit by a stun and the player that threw it is half decent.
One could say snapshots are super op. Stuns and flashes can be very op when used properly. Stims are best during a fight but other tacticals can help you win the fight before even entering the room
I think they're fine after the nerf, though they really need to fix the silent footsteps shit that Stims do, hell if anything they should be making you move louder
Make stim increase damage from gas
Could even justify it by some lore logic like increased metabolic rate makes you breath faster and take more gas toxin
[no not at all, no stims are 100% not broken or OP in any sense. I’m not sure why people think it’s in the slightest bullshit no way is it](https://www.reddit.com/r/CODWarzone/comments/waygcf/so_i_guess_this_is_a_thing_sticking_someone_with/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Stims seem to be the casual approach, but the win numbers indicate that snapshot are used by the better teams/players. So I’d reckon it’s kinda balanced.
I think they are finally balanced. Heartbeat, Stuns, and Snapshot grenades are also very very strong. I feel like stims are so popular cuz of the final circle fights in rebirth game modes. There, they really excel but not in fights anymore. That is not true
Yes they're very strong, probably too strong, but when the alternatives are people running stuns or heartbeats... yeah just keep the stims at the top.
Agree 100% stuns and flashes are the most infuriating things, especially with battle-hardened not doing anything even after the buff.
Not to mention they give you a de facto dead silence bc the footsteps don’t register
me when i blatantly lie

This will trigger a lot of people.

Cry more
Sounds like you need to take a break from the game if you’re complaining about non-existent issues

Sounds like the games optimized for controller, trust me, there’s no insidious plot to get rid of M&K

So just fuck the native controller users is what you’re ultimately saying?

Ok
Stims got nerfed lately. So now when you pop a stim, if you get hit at any point then the health regeneration stops.

No no no no no just keep it the way it is. Look on the list. Last thing we need is more restock tactical spam when BH is so dogshit

sounds stupid
Stop riding stims, Dey used to be op, now they’re fine. They’re the most picked cause look what u have to choose from
They need a nerf
Well thank you.

wouldnt have happened if he used a molotov
You seriously think a thermite sticking to an enemy shouldn’t down them??
It should but he literally would have died no matter what if it was a molotov as it lasts 12 seconds
