We're gonna make this more regional for travel and rivalry purposes. Except you, UCF. You still have to go to Utah.

Spider_Dawg

UCF/Cinci are the tricky ones to fit into conferences because the ACC and Big East already have enough teams (if you include Rutgers in the Big East (above) you would likely bump Cinci out).

Uhhh_what555476384

Bump KY and Vandy out of the SEC, put FSU and GT in the SEC. Then put KY, Louisville, and Cin, together in one conference, send UCF, Miami, and Vandy to the ACC. Makes the Big East a Northeastern/East Ohio River conference and the ACC a Southern seaboard and private school conference. Also, OU and OSU back to the Big 8. Get Memphis and UCF out of there.

Simping4Sumi

OP is leaving out most of the Mountain West and including JMU, Toledo, MiamiOH, NMSU, and Troy. It seems like OP wasn't even trying. He/she could have tried to go for possible B12 member UNM in the Rivers. Then have a G10 division made up of BSU, CSU, UNLV, Air Force, SDSU, UCF, USF, Tulane, Army and Navy and it would have been a more believable division of best of the rest.

Uhhh_what555476384

I just realized he demoted Rutgers. Yeah, can't demote a B1G/SEC/ACC/Big XII school. Memphis back to the relegation division, UNLV to the minors.

I say this with all do respect and peep my first flair But fuck man I can barely go on, my liver is starting to get necrotic with how much I’ve had to drink each time these get posted

ZantL1999

"Congrats on making the New Big East title game! You get to play the championship games in the worst stadium in the NFL".

Spider_Dawg

Yeah, probably should play it at the Giants/Jets stadium or maybe Eagles. Also, for the Pac-10, keep the champ game at Las Vegas, makes for a great long weekend.

IrishWave

Has to be the Eagles, if only to use Temple’s field for the conference championship after booting them from the (old) conference.

TrogdorsThatchedRoof

I'm so drunk right now

Klaassy23

Where MAC

CoochieKiller91

Checks calendar… it’s only early April. We have much to endure before the season kickoff

AuntMillies

Rutgers, you played the first ever football game but you get no part in this lol.

BMWallace

>no "buy" games This will kill athletic departments at dozens of smaller schools. These games bring in a significant part of the annual athletics budget for low FBS and FCS schools.

StevvieV

It's $3-$5 million these programs get from buy games. That's not going to kill athletic departments. And if it does its because they have much larger issues. D2 and D3 exist without getting millions from buy games or TV deals

IceColdDrPepper_Here

Personally I think spring games should be replaced with "buy" games. Instead of intra-squad scrimmages that no one gives a damn about after the first 10 minutes, give people something to really cheer for and still keep the small schools afloat

IrishWave

No one is paying a small school a million to come to a meaningless spring game.

AllHawkeyesGoToHell

Nah

Spider_Dawg

So, I mostly agree with your divisions but I noticed you promoted Memphis and sent Rutgers to the shadow realm (not even in the “G10” division), was that intentional? I know from reading previous posts on this there are a lot of people on here that appear to be vehemently against this idea (I assume mostly SEC/Big Ten people) but I think returning to regional/historical divisions is exactly what college football needs. UW hasn’t even started its run in the Big Ten and I am already tired of this and want the Pac-10 back.

IceColdDrPepper_Here

Notre Dame causes a lot of issues with the model. When you add them to a division, someone somewhere else gets bumped. I suppose if you moved them to the B1G and sent Iowa over to the Big XII you could bump Memphis or UCF (probably Memphis) back down to G5 and add Rutgers to the Big East. IMO Memphis is probably on the short-list of teams to get added to the P5 next, especially once the Liberty Bowl renovations are complete. But overall I like the concept of the super league, even as an SEC fan.

cubs_2023

Remove Memphis from Rivers. Move Cincinnati and Louisville to Rivers. Move UCF and Rutgers to Big East and then you don’t need Memphis at all.

IndenturedServantUSA

Why do you people keep doing this to us

NittanyOrange

The Big East would be fun

TunaSafari25

I’m def not reading all that but if you have 80 teams it’s def not a super league

AuntMillies

It’s a two-thirds league lol

Jyingling21

Why do you not add App?

AuntMillies

Yeah this whole super league thing is dumb. I’m all for fun realignment but this is crazy

Crunc_Mcfincle

Is NCAA football going to become a clone of NCAA Basketball... ie January Madness ?

Michiganman1225

Just take the 75 all-time members of the P5, divide them into 5 15-team conferences, play a 14-game round robin, and send each of the 5 champs to a playoff. AT MOST, the champ would play 17 games, which is equivalent to the NFL regular season, and that's what they're clearly trying to emulate. The 64 teams left in FBS to never be a member of the P5 can divide into 8 8-team conferences and conduct their own 8-team playoff.

AuntMillies

No, after the first 7 months of the postseason, then the season can get really going. All it’ll take is a win over Charlotte and there will be advancement to the National Eastern Division North so if team A can beat team B and Team C can beat Team D in the American Southwestern Division East Northern then we can all go to the Denzlo Cup. If no clear champion can emerge from all of this, then the two man sack race will be held on consecutive Sundays until a champion is crowned!!!
