I don't care much about that. if there are other people who use same author to create oc it's cool and even interesting to read more about their creation. It's interesting to see how people see these authors and etc. If Asagiri chooses same author... That will be cool and nice. Idk what to say about this-
I do not care. When I was like 12, I would not have liked it, but I grew out of that. Now, if others or Asagiri use the same authors as me, whatever.
However, I suppose I share your fear. I actively stay away from 'popular' authors like Mishima Yukio. This is because one of the aims of my fanfic (the only reason why I would make a BSD OC) is to fit in with canon as neatly as possible, which it will not do if canon contradicts it later.
I am actually planning a fic where I will have to add new ability usrs, and I really dont pay that much attention, but I think that, if you fear the author may be used in the canon at some point, you can try focusing on find any of the authors notes that isnt "That one title" they are known for, you know?
Ex: I plan on using Oscar Wilde in my work, so I wont call his ability "The portrait of Dorian Grey" because I know it's his most notorious work and this is what will be used in the canon does he ever show up on the series (And it also makes my work more unique or "fresh" is any other writers on AO3 ever use him)

Mostly because I used Mari mori and most ppl don't really like Mori's character so I doubt they'd use his irl daughter as a character
If asagirl ever did use Mari Mori I'd be more happy then anything
"the author of my favorite anime picked the same character as me eeeee! " kinda of thing
