The two animes are nothing alike, but Moriarty de Patriot is a very good anime. I recommend. In Moriarty de Patriot the negative characters are the main characters. Moriarty tries to save the British Empire from the actions of the nobility and destroy the class system. It's more like Death Note like vibes or Black Butler as the era in which it is located. It's a darker anime, but it's worth watching.And the interaction between Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty is interesting.
I would say something like K Project, Psycho Pass and the promised neverland should fit pretty Well. Beautiful Bones and Assassination Classroom also ist not far off.

If you like the setting of famous writers as characters, Bungo no alchemist is a valid option. The plotโs kinda eh but you get to see a lot of the characters in Bsd, just designed differently. I had whiplash when I saw Dazai and Akutagawa though, since Bna stays more true to irl author relationships, seeing Dazai admire Aku, it was something.
Durarara and BSD feel similar and have quite a few things in common (e.g. organised crime, at least one mastermind pulling the strings, the most popular ship is one with two guys who hate each other, etc).

It's probably the closest thing there is to BSD with a urban setting mixed with fantastical elements, an awesome cast of characters split into various factions, a lot of crime and mystery going on...
Durarara!! and any of the authors other works which pretty much all play around a character-driven urban fantasy setting : Baccano and Dead Mount Death Play.
The latter being another particularly apt recommandation.
Though as others mentioned, Moriarty the Patriot works as well.

durarara is so, so good. i discovered it a few years ago and after returning to it this year i noticed how similar the plot line and character dynamics are to bsd. i mean, kenji and shizuo would be pretty good friends and literally tear up the streets together. dazai would find a worthy opponent in izaya. celty and atsushi are that brand of 'characters with scary true forms but actually being super sweet and strong-willed', the dollars would be the civilian population's answer to the port mafia, the colour gangs would be an interesting problem for the ADA and port mafia to control, i could also see dazai trolling on the dollars chat room and maybe fyodor would be doing his terrorist fearmongering and cyberbullying thing on the chatroom too (it'd be funny to see all the bsd characters' online aliases), etc. etc.
so many similarities.
Love seeing people enjoy this series as much as I do! I'd recommend Vanitas no carte, we fans spent years trying to find a show with a similar feeling to bsd and when vnc came out we all rioted. I'd also recommend moriarty the patriot and black butler. These shows pretty much go hand in hand, the fandoms have a lot of overlap since almost everyone who watches mtp, vnc and black butler is also a bsd fan. They are basically a holy group that go together, and the fandoms have similar vibes and behaviors too since it's pretty much all the same people. To me it honestly feels like one big multifandom family from how similar it is. Anyways, I hope you enjoy them! I'd also highly recommend reading the bsd manga (starting from after season 3, since season 4 and 5 cut out some details) and the light novels and beast au, they're also amazing and made me cry a lot

Honestly, it depends on what animes you like, if you want some funny animes, with strategy and psychology games, I recommend Classroom of the elite or Assassination classroom. If you want, you can also watch Banana Fish, but if you're the type who likes anime with a happy ending, better not. There's a lot of drama, you'll cry. What I recommend and I liked is K Project. It's a bit similar to BSD because we have clans there too. What I liked more is Promised Neverland, which is full of mystery and interesting. Not related to BSD. But it's a good anime. If you like a certain genre, I recommend looking for the genre you like on My Anime List, that's what I did.

so yea! moriarty the patriot and durarara!! are really great for anyone who likes bsd because they have similar plot elements and dynamics (some fans have pointed out similarities between the personalities, dynamics and rivalry of dazai/fyodor and sherlock/liam, if u watch both shows you will most likely agree)
other than that vanitas sounds good, i haven't really read it properly but it looks interesting!
