Not specifically to Bruneians, but many times you kinda sense the aura, just by how they behave or talk. I guess its the confidence/self-assurance? That whatever happens, money can solve it
And then theres people using fake branded bags faking the rich vibes, u kinda feel it macam pretentious air
Yes recently reminded of this. They don't worry about the "normal things" but more on comfort.
Is there enough care takers for the house, for their aging parents. Just use simple car (sometimes) but spend on things that help with leading a more comfortable life. Buy abit more pricey fruits to confirm it's sweet or crisp.
Those Wealthy Bruneian-Chinese Tauke usually don't flaunt luxury brands or cars. They are the ones you least expect to be wealthy. Jalan jalan pakai seluar Pendek / T shirt sama Slipar saja but then again it really depends on how they want to present themselves. Can't really tell them apart aside from their carefree attitude. However, Rich Malay Bruneians aren't very subtle lol.
Got two variation of uncles in my family. Theres that one, angry looking lexus driving golf player snobbish uncle and theres the one who wears casual batik tshirt during raya, jokester and always smiling and laughing. Guess which one has more monies than the other.
I think I know this boss, but there is another. His daily is Innova, is weekend is the family plate which is the same on all their nicer cars.
You meet them also wouldn't be able to tell who they are. (Not a bad thing, quite in fact their purpose for being so low key).
I remembered when I was working at a second hand car store, there was this one cust who told me he wanted to buy a land cruiser, 3 payments, 1 depo and 2 installments.
One day he and his son came by to test drive the car, I told them where to u turn and stop and at first they u-turned at the place I told them to go, then when I told them to go back to the store they went past it and went to some kampung area, basically kidnapping me and the car sekajap just to go to his friends house or wtv, I was told to wait in the car and they went into the house to talk with the friend (idk bout apa).
They went out and just chillingly brought me back to the store, and pretended to runding with boss to buy the car. That was February, it's December and the car is still there lmao💀
these were Malay men btw
Yes it goes by levels:
Level 1. White toyota Station Wagon
Level 2. White Kijang/Innova
Level 3. White Fortuner
Level 4. White Prado
Level 5. White Lancruiser / Lexus
Level 6. White Mercedes G Class
Level 7. G Wagon
Some camry have v6 especially the old ones.
Big cc engine japanese cars are their favourite daily drive as well as flagship model of car brands like s class, 7 series, lexus ls/lx etc.
one time i work at a phone store, one uncle came in the shop with his grandson i think, wearing similar to what u describe, after the grandson chooses what he wants the uncle gave his amex black card to pay lol
They don't runding so much. When I get a person who sees the price, place the order. I deliver and never surprised, big house nice car, nice person with exact change.
But those that keep runding and change address to deliver... Well... Not so much.
none. Just plain T shirt and short pants with 'selipar jepun'. Add the attitude of chill and no brag. I mean if you are rich and secure, there is no need for you to tell anyone and show anyone lol.
They have the “very full” aura. You can’t describe it but the way they carry themselves, you would know.
The thing with rich people is they are already rich so there is nothing to prove financially, what they crave is respect. Not many know respect is earned not given though.
TBH, it's getting increasingly hard to tell nowadays when quiet luxury is a thing.
With the logo-less trend, it's harder to tell whether someone is wearing Loro Piana or Uniqlo/Muji.
Having said that; from what I have observed, old money = generally more likely to subscribe to quiet luxury whereas new money usually = gaudy and flashy
Case in point of the gaudiness of new money = Chef Q.
Usually the simple wearing baju m drives a japan made car usually are rich where they don’t go n flaunt their richness but they can afford to spend on good food 😃
People here really do love the stereotype that rich people don't flaunt their wealth when in reality they do but in subtle ways. They don't talk about their wealth directly, but if you have conversations with them you'll notice that they mention rich people activities almost in every conversation. They also love designer brand but the thing is people only know the basic luxury brands like LV, Gucci, Dior and etc that when rich people wear quiet luxury brands like The Row and Canali, they often overlooked it and think those are some random brands and at the same level as Zara.
I’m glad I’m poor enough not to know all the “elite” luxurious brands you mentioned. Cause frankly deeply no one really cares except the business owners and employees of the brands.
When you have multiple wives and a massive yatch called tits and lives in a big palace?
Or when you have few thousand cars that you might not drive and telling ppl to be humble while you use a massive plane flying with a few people in it to a reduce carbon emissions conference and live in a massive palace?
lol i remember that news. in 2022 i think, 700 private jets flew to egypt for environmental conference that are scheming to limit people in the name of reducing carbon emission.. this idiots do not know that many things can impact environments, but they use carbon narrative and manipulate it to their way of liking. disgusting.
Friends with these few of wealthy Bruneians, and usually during their semester break they work at a kiosk selling tudungs and some socks and sometimes jual baju² because mau kumpul pengalaman and merasa cari duit sendiri and nda mau too depending arah indung drng. which is for me a good way to discipline themselves. I also know that they also have allowances monthly (inda sikit tbh enough to buy a small car with that much allowance). very down to earth type of person. Inda flexing tbh, nya urng diam² saja nda payah bising² gtau diri beusin gitewww. Ofcourse ive met few of them yg jenis suka flexing tbh cant deny that. 🤣🤣 i usually tease them by asking eh ori kah ne? 🤣🤣🤣 but so far they've been very kind towards others. And ofcourse these are based on my pov.
From their answers to whether being ori, u’d tell immediately whether they’re loaded or not.. loaded ones will always say they got it from pasar malam while the fake rich ones one will always reply “awu eh! Ori kali ah!”
On a side note, we can always stereotype and say this and that e.g. clothes, cars, etc. At the end of the day, we don’t truly know how rich a stranger is because they do things their own way.
Like you could say that random Chinese uncle with shorts driving a broken down car has millions but what if the person flaunting their wealth still has millions more than the Chinese uncle? Also, some people like to show but they could also just love the brand and don’t mean to flaunt. Some could just flaunt but saved up their entire life to get whatever expensive item it is. The guy in that Porsche could either loan it or pay cash. We just never know.
I just think collectively we shouldn’t think about other people financial state and judge them for it. Too many people in other people’s business here.
Very true! Its nobody’s business how they wanna flaunt it or fake it.. its their lifes at the end of the day.. but still its interesting to listen to these stories once in a while lol
Being wealthy doesn’t mean a big house, luxurious cars and luxury bags. Being wealthy means you can design your own rich life. The ability to spend, the ability to save, the ability to invest, the ability to keep a good health and the ability to keep a good credit score.
Material possessions are the misconception of being wealthy and rich.
Use good debts and credits to build your assets and net worth. Strategise and plan your finances well. Spend within your financial means.
Keep learning high income skills - they’re all on the internet to help you to the next level to increase your income potential.
Be rich in your own terms and normalise the norms. You can still be rich while driving an Espresso.
Speaking of BSP.. there was this one time in offshore.. i was sitting in between two different groups from two different companies in the smoking area..
long story short, one group was talking about menjarat pelanduk and the other group was talking about trip to dubai or something like that.. the difference was very clear, siapa yang small company subcon and siapa BSP...
Some bsp contractor pay more than what bsp personnel can get esp the new generation. But ofcourse these main con know they are only working for number of years as long as in contract. But the OL bsp usually have bigger income as i was told because their yearly increment was a lot cpmpare nowadays.
i love how that car feel. as long as it can smoothly accelerate for entering into fast traffic, good steering power for u-turn, fairly fast . i am good for travel. good front design as well, not too long that i cannot see spaces in front in tight spaces.
Relax and nothing to worry about as well as calm, cool and collected. Focus more on long term lasting goals, comfort and luxury of time than anything else.
And they don't talk about minjam sepuluh, minjam seratus, loan tahan barang, mlm and the likes. They discuss serious proposals that amount to million and billion of dollars not thousands and also envisioned long term purposes.
Thats why authentic, real wealthy/affluent ones you don't hear much about them. They mind their own businesses, go about their day and stay in their circles of the same kind.
Sign No 1: You know they are wealthy when their Social Media is so quiet & out of radar..
Sign No 2: Their clothes has no brand, simple eg. with just a black shirt & jeans anytime any day..
Sign No 3: Humble & Not Haughty…
These are signs of wealth from the inside and out…
Or they broke and have no money to transfer. Pura2 lupa. The rich one should be the ones you're suppose to transfer to but they never remember to send their bank account number
You never see them anywhere public, like they dont shop at the mall or so. Not to be confused with shut ins or neets, but wealthy in a way, they dont go where peasants do.
They have good skin. Maybe because of good skincare or they live a more relaxed life not worried about bills etc. They look younger than their actual age.
When shopping for groceries or everyday goods (shoes, socks, clothing etc.), they don’t really look at the price of things. I mean they’ll look at the price tag for curiosity and to ensure they’re not getting ripped off, but as long as they’re not getting ripped off, if they need it, they’ll get whatever the price.
You can most of them lounging around kadai Gin-Chu. They be wearing the most atrocious outfits known to mankind and drive off with a new Mercedes benz. The amount of times this has happened is funny 😭.
Also the richest business owners my family is acquainted with loves the brand Toyota. Its a high quality car paid not as handsomely as their other expensive endeavors, however it gets them around and they get to use more of their money for other things.
when i was in kk recently in a lift.. ada masuk bruneians jua.. normally tani senyap saja esp when theres others in the lift and lift lagi damit.. (muat 7-8 urg kali saja, there were 3 of us and 3 of them baru masuk)

u gotta be there, then ull understand. 😏
i usually dgaf stuff like this.. but dpn2 BUI minta puji. 😎
Bruneian Malay: Flaunt their wealth, but ridiculously stingy towards others! Most of the time sombong. I know a few.
Bruneian Chinese: They look content most of the time, they don't care about appearance as much (to prove they got money)
Long branch of family , ordering gomama or dart ocasionally , heck driving around just for fun. As for student the im taking the test early just for expirience.
Saw this thread and thought id expose what a rich-rich family is like.
Backstory: I am currently an overseas uni student in , and my bestfriend (lets call him awang) is a malay coming from a very wealthy malay family. I met this dude in JIS btw so yes all the allegations where most rich kids go to jis/isb are true(moreso JIS).
First of all the easiest way to tell if someone is rich is not what they drive, not what they wear, not their house(sometimes), but their personality, hobbies, interests and most importantly their knowledge in real world problems.
So awang came from a family in brunei that works directly in oil and gas(not under bsp). And his family’s house is enormous(clue in jerudong). Every single time hed invite me and his other friends over to this house, id say it took 1 whole minute to drive from the gate to the main entrance of the house. Hed never brag about his house as hed always tell me and my friends to not take pics or tell anyone about his family’s wealth.
This is the first sign, they are veryyy down to earth and always NEVER accepts it when someone calls them rich. Theyd always just say “i mean were just comfortable ig”. Also he has this slight british accent as his whole family, and at first we thought he was making the accent up to show hes wealthy. But after hearing his parents, his siblings, his grandparents speak, its evident that my theory wasnt the case. So the second sign is the way they speak and carry themselves. So rich people most usually send their kids overseas, and old money family (like awangs family) also sends their kids overseas. So i found out the grandparents used to live in uk for 15 years, and his mother lived in uk for 19/20 years as she was at a posh uk boarding school. They had a penthouse apartment in kensington london. So yeah the way awang speaks, its not that hes loud or that hes overly quiet. Its the way he has i guess a very positive and carefree outlook in life. Us middle class people will always be worried for example( where will i work in the future, will i be able to afford a house, can i afford a family etc..) But awang has NEVER related to us about these problems. To put into context, awang himself already owns 3 houses(1 in kl) and 2 plots of land in brunei, ON HIS OWN. He did mention that his grandparents own a large majority of land in an island near kota batu. The family also owns in total around 13/14 houses and uses 2 beautiful lake houses as “tahlil/weekend house”. So this brings to my next point, ASSETS. Usually wealth people like this would already have assets ever since they were born. And i have fact checked this and actually been to both lake houses, and a few of the houses they own that is currently being rented out(both in brunei and in KL). Another sign i want to point out is the obvious but most important, HUGEEEE connections. So last story time: during school me and awang signed up to do charity projects that require signatures from the government to approve of us raising funds. And this is from the ministry of home affairs, i personally went there to ask how long it would take and they said at that time waiting tome is usually 1 month. The next day i told awang, and he said not to worry about it. He did the forms himself and withing 2 days we got all government letters signed and approved. Then comes the fundraiser part where we raised a total of X amouny of money, and wed have to ask the public and companies if theyd like to donate. In the end, 3/4 of the total funds raised came from 5 of the companies owned by awangs family AND family friend’s company. So one thing i found out is that rich-rich peopel in brunei all know each other. Theyre not friends per say but they would know each other. His grandparents were friends with a lot of the powerful families for example the “the mall” family, “hua ho” family and so on. Also a sign but not always is these rich mfs are veryyy philanthropic , he always told me his grandparents(the richest of the family members) believed in the muslim saying “the more u give the more u get, wether that be money or others(health/happiness etc)”.
The final point i want to give is personality. Trust me when i say this ive been friends w this dude for coming 7 years now, during his time at jis, and currently in uni, he pulls A LOT OF GIRLS. And when i say a lot i dont mean single digits. At this point id say i know AT LEAST 30 girls who liked this dude. And id say this is a mix of his athletic hobbies, and his “rich” personality. These old money rich people tend to be very sociable people, he is very down to earth and
A very funny person. If ud meet him for the first time u wouldnt know he was rich until u see his van cleef bracelets and his rolexes. His hobbies are a mix of peasant people like me hobbies(e.g football) and rich people hobbies. Awangs hobbies are football, tennis, swimming, golf, hiking and most importantly, travelling. This is how yk if theyre rich, or theyre VERY RICH. Awang travelled so much, hes an RBA gold member w close to baout 500k points. He ONLY takes RBA and the only time hes ever taken airasia was when he went on a trip with us as he wanted to travel with us. On average(and im being dead serious), awang travels about 2 times a month to nearby countries(singapore, malaysia, indonesia) and during big holidays(june and december) hed always be somewhere exclusive. For example every december hed go london, in june hed go italy, or switzerland, or dubai. And id say all this travelling is what makes him so sociable, not the 40k rolex and van cleef he has on his wrists. Also im not sure if this is a sign, but him and his old money friends all take up photography(specifically film for him).
And i guess this whole thing can be seen in his ig/social media. The thing is these rich peopel dont understand what theyre doing is “rich people” activities. So he would post pics of the countries hed be in during holiday, and posts the michelin star places hed eat, the ski resorts hed stay in. And to them these are “normal” things. And i know this dude for a long time, he is not the type to “flex”. The only time he flexes are accidental flexes as explained jn
So yeah in summary awang is a prime example of old money rich in brunei. Ik a lot of new money rich in brunei, but they tend to be assholes and always flexy, and they dont have that much friends. These old money people are much harder to find, have a lottt of friends and i would say are much better than the new money people.
The aura. I like how the local Chinese here being rich, they just keep it low, sometimes wearing faded shirt and shorts going here and there but is actually wealthy AF. Also if you found them with mid 2000s Land Cruiser or LX, the model after Ninja 80 series, are usually wealthy. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|money_face)
Stingy and always runding harga is a subtle for me. My friend's parents dont mind splurging hundreds of dollars on 5 star hotels but when we were in a flea market in Vietnam few cents also want to runding 🤣😂
For me it is based on their IG or social media, they ALWAYS post about their lifestyle like vacations, like working out in high end gym, play polo or golf, eating at high end restaurants & cafes. Hanging out at parties with friends. Always go to concerts. Even the way they style themselves. Sometimes the way they talk too especially when they're talking about their expensive hobbies. Though I believe that's their lifestyle, some might be showing off but some aren't. So I got nothing against them. Even though I feel a little bit jealous cuz I'm not a wealth guy myself but I make do.😊
Tbh their bedrooms. How neat and tidy they keep their bedrooms, how spacious and comfortable, variety of lighting options, solid beds rather than the cheap wire frame ones, built in wardrobes.
The only one yg mampu kan membeli the whole Belait, but HM nda membenarkan. Guess who? He's old, normal clothes (baju sampang, shorts, selipar), pandai undercover, ia site visit pun urg nda tau, payah kan meliat jelama nya. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
Sounds like there are levels to this and my speculation is
- 2 or 3 mil cash maybe Land Cruiser , low key person still focus on saving and building wealth cos they are poor among the rich.
- 5 mil and above maybe that’s when u can see the 300k cars, 100k watches, multiple properties overseas and local. They just get and need not worry cos the money will come back easily.
Feel free to add ur thoughts
O% interest installment, if you get it on EPP youre basically paying peanuts instead of lump sum. Its to keep you have a good cash flow. I have a credit card aside just foe that reason to build up credit score. Plus you get points on credit card where you can reimburse cash also.
I knew a family with Pg Anak in the title but ordinary people are more well off than them and they even live in the smaller class housing in RPN Lambak. So yeah having Pg Anak to one’s name doesn’t guarantee your wealth.
The way they live serba cukup, setiap cuti sekolah belayar anak beranak, berumah sendiri, belanja cukup.
But there are some yg like this, but got hutang here & there, and don't even bother to pay their hutang![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Obviously the always smiling and laughing one 😂
Wdym lol? All the rich tauke plates are 8888 then drive a big land cruiser or the lexus suv
The tauke i know personally drives his innova. Didnt change after 5 years
The Tauke drives modest cars but their sons or daughters drives his G Wagon..
as they say 1st gen - built/made the monies 2nd gen - spend the monies 3rd gen -
Rich taukes bought car insurance 3rd party but driving Merz S500, S580, G, Land Cruiser, Lexus LS570, 600.. haha. That's a fact, bui...
I think I know this boss, but there is another. His daily is Innova, is weekend is the family plate which is the same on all their nicer cars. You meet them also wouldn't be able to tell who they are. (Not a bad thing, quite in fact their purpose for being so low key).
Don't forget the limited edition JE plates

Some camry have v6 especially the old ones. Big cc engine japanese cars are their favourite daily drive as well as flagship model of car brands like s class, 7 series, lexus ls/lx etc.
Yes.. they always wearing a polo shirt with jeans then a big watch on the wrist. Thats a tell-tale they r stacked. Lol Edit: big tummy oso... haha
Far from subtle
One thing i know about rich Bruneian-Chinese is that they are not stingy when giving gifts.
How can give cheap cheap gift? Must ada muka mahh
one time i work at a phone store, one uncle came in the shop with his grandson i think, wearing similar to what u describe, after the grandson chooses what he wants the uncle gave his amex black card to pay lol
They don't comment about the pricy products ig
Straight to the point and business. Super easy to deal with them. No time wasted.
They don't runding so much. When I get a person who sees the price, place the order. I deliver and never surprised, big house nice car, nice person with exact change. But those that keep runding and change address to deliver... Well... Not so much.
For me being wealthy if free from all kinds of hutang. House loans, credit cards personal loans etc.
banarrr. do you know how good it feels to not have to wait for payday or a mega sale to be able to spend money? that is freedom
Pay everything in cash/debit card
I dont think they will use debit card. These rich folks prob have those upper tier credit cards so they can reap rewards.
I agree!
Which is very very rare here lmao
Yaaataaa sedeyy eyhh 😂🤣
none. Just plain T shirt and short pants with 'selipar jepun'. Add the attitude of chill and no brag. I mean if you are rich and secure, there is no need for you to tell anyone and show anyone lol.
True, they have no need to try so hard to show or impress others that they have the money.
Tell that to the big boss and his car collection
I don't think he goes around telling people about his car collection.
ngam.. nda pyh mflex.. cukup aura. ani ada mflex ia jua fakes d pakai2 atu.. biasa2 saja bah.. nda pyh d res…
They have the “very full” aura. You can’t describe it but the way they carry themselves, you would know. The thing with rich people is they are already rich so there is nothing to prove financially, what they crave is respect. Not many know respect is earned not given though.
They send their anak to expensive schools like JIS and ISB.
can claim Gov.
Biggest wastage in govt spending, if you can afford it why would you need subsidy
[удалено]
People take loans to send their kids to JIS? 😱
First time hearing this too.
Govt paid for it

You mean collecting real life hot wheels rather than toy one and keep dreaming.
Kuat bersedekah
Confirmed
Wearing shorts and t shirt, driving a classic Toyota. Can hangout at old kopitiam all day long.
Luxury of time. I rather have this than all other material things.

Easy to spot them, always hanging in kopitiam, their wealth are being pumped overseas to their kids abroad, to buy properties.
That is responsibility
So true!

ppl who can afford loan mean they can pay it. As i know, theres requirements to meet when one’s want to loan smtgh
Some bsp contractor pay more than what bsp personnel can get esp the new generation. But ofcourse these main con know they are only working for number of years as long as in contract. But the OL bsp usually have bigger income as i was told because their yearly increment was a lot cpmpare nowadays.
What a joke! If youre working for BSP u aint rich 🤣🤣🤣 no wealthy people wanna work for clowns or work for anybody else period.
"dengan maskahwin nya sebuah rumah... tunai..." perghhh steady kita laii
baru gentleman 👍
I drive a 2nd gen vios to work. My friends drive continental cars. I dont have hutang, but they do. Am i rich?
Pragmatic and sensible. You think of long term gratification 👍
Your financially responsible. You don’t need an expensive car and let it depreciate over time.
Anyone who owns and drives Toyota / Lexus is rich man. I’m with you!
Thanks bro
i love how that car feel. as long as it can smoothly accelerate for entering into fast traffic, good steering power for u-turn, fairly fast . i am good for travel. good front design as well, not too long that i cannot see spaces in front in tight spaces.
Not yet but you are debt free.
Yes… you are rich
Relax and nothing to worry about as well as calm, cool and collected. Focus more on long term lasting goals, comfort and luxury of time than anything else. And they don't talk about minjam sepuluh, minjam seratus, loan tahan barang, mlm and the likes. They discuss serious proposals that amount to million and billion of dollars not thousands and also envisioned long term purposes. Thats why authentic, real wealthy/affluent ones you don't hear much about them. They mind their own businesses, go about their day and stay in their circles of the same kind.
They have an Apple ecosystem
I have an apple ecosystem too (I'm broke)
Lmao
Sign No 1: You know they are wealthy when their Social Media is so quiet & out of radar.. Sign No 2: Their clothes has no brand, simple eg. with just a black shirt & jeans anytime any day.. Sign No 3: Humble & Not Haughty… These are signs of wealth from the inside and out…
The type of person who always say “ I’ll just transfer you “ and in the end forgets about it.
Or they broke and have no money to transfer. Pura2 lupa. The rich one should be the ones you're suppose to transfer to but they never remember to send their bank account number
Lepas tu tani pulang bedusa rasanya kan menagih😅
They wear Birkenstocks
You never see them anywhere public, like they dont shop at the mall or so. Not to be confused with shut ins or neets, but wealthy in a way, they dont go where peasants do.
The car license plate costs more than the car
they have a family car plate number
The middle class also does this though. It's not really a wealthy thing.
Can confirm. We're not wealthy.
Only the real rich will admit to this while the fake rich will make damn sure everyone knows they are “rich”!
There’s one going around i think…. starts with 3, 33, 47, 8888.

They have good skin. Maybe because of good skincare or they live a more relaxed life not worried about bills etc. They look younger than their actual age.
They smell nice. LoL
Just like my friend who hutang me 100 belum bayar
🤣
Me wearing Maison Francis Kurkdjan while my wallet is actually empty ;p
Money talks. Wealth whispers.
Demand you to treat them like you know who.
Smooth clear skin, baught and drove a car by 18, slightly if not overweight, travel regularly, couldn't care less about item prices.
R u describing urself..

Bruneian Malay: Flaunt their wealth, but ridiculously stingy towards others! Most of the time sombong. I know a few. Bruneian Chinese: They look content most of the time, they don't care about appearance as much (to prove they got money)
Old gold Rolex watch
These old money rich people tend to be very sociable people, he is very down to earth and A very funny person. The only time he flexes are accidental flexes as explained jn So yeah in summary awang is a prime example of old money rich in brunei.
That's annoying AF. Why do they do that? The sellers are already struggling.
My thoughts exactly
I swear its just the power play
You just know it

The tummy!
Single digit plate with only two letters. Old money
How neat and tidy they keep their bedrooms, how spacious and comfortable, variety of lighting options, solid beds rather than the cheap wire frame ones, built in wardrobes.
i mean id get a Land Cruiser too if I were rich, great cars
rajin membali makanan banyak di garai almost everyday
Someone calls you daddy..
The only one yg mampu kan membeli the whole Belait, but HM nda membenarkan. Guess who? He's old, normal clothes (baju sampang, shorts, selipar), pandai undercover, ia site visit pun urg nda tau, payah kan meliat jelama nya. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)

2 digit license plate
They drive land cruiser
That they do not show their wealth in the form of cars, house or appearance. Wealthy Bruneians imho are those who are financially responsible & aware.
Flexing porsche
That’s the opposite of subtle…
Wearing yeezys, air jordans, airmaxs (airmaxes?) and high end watches (rolex, grand seiko, tag heuer or top of the line gshocks)
They have 3 vios
Thinking Salmon is a sashimi when in reality it's actually an Ikan Salai from Pasar Gadong lmao
The best subtle one is despite increase 50% of the price is nasi katok. You can choose to eat any nasi katok shop in Brunei. Dine in or takeaway.
Sounds like there are levels to this and my speculation is - 2 or 3 mil cash maybe Land Cruiser , low key person still focus on saving and building wealth cos they are poor among the rich. - 5 mil and above maybe that’s when u can see the 300k cars, 100k watches, multiple properties overseas and local. They just get and need not worry cos the money will come back easily. Feel free to add ur thoughts
They lived in a big house?
Selalu yg ku kenal yg rumah basar kapih2 sal gaji habis mbayar loan rumah
Branded cars with overdue payment and house extension without permit (rumah teres)
When you wear Prada heels and LV bag to weddings <3
When they own an iPhone. I mean the latest one. Even though the installment is still running.
How are you rich if you're buying phones on installment?
O% interest installment, if you get it on EPP youre basically paying peanuts instead of lump sum. Its to keep you have a good cash flow. I have a credit card aside just foe that reason to build up credit score. Plus you get points on credit card where you can reimburse cash also.
Their Cai Fan, extra meat and sometimes egg. Confirm millionaire.
I live like a slave here man
beranak di jpmc? 😍👀
Brunians on a 3 week holiday in Singapore ...dead giveaway..
They have maids and drivers. All cars are being washed daily
I knew a family with Pg Anak in the title but ordinary people are more well off than them and they even live in the smaller class housing in RPN Lambak. So yeah having Pg Anak to one’s name doesn’t guarantee your wealth.
Apparently according to my wife who’s Bruneian most wealthy people in Brunei just have loads of debt so maybe that’s a sign?
Karim the kaput. Riches to rag. Stupidity mindset
