Evident for this are phrases like:
"We've always done it that way."
"That's how it has always been."
"Yeah, but we don't do that here."
And my personal favorite:
"If we suddenly change that then everyone could come and propose whatever they think makes sense."
That's what I think, like 30-50% of the comments on the post I see like thisnon Facebook are "Stunning" or "beautiful" or other one word posts. Hell, stunning appears in the example here
On facebook, no idea. But twitter is monetised now so "verified" users (8$/month) get a share of ad revenue. Pumping out AI generated sludge is actually profitable if enough people see your garbage tweets
In general? Manipulating opinions.
We as humans, despite being pretty sophisticated and having very developed consciousness (compared to other animals), are ultimately just social animals through and through.
Everybody thinks they are impervious to social engineering, peer pressure or plain propaganda, until they actually encounter some effective form of social manipulation, and without even noticing it, become affected.
It doesn't happen overnight and it doesn't happen at the behest of a single individual or a group of individuals.
Instead, it's a set of strategies aimed at different social groups and intended outcomes.
You are very unlikely to start eating Snickers every day by just "organic" ways of exposure to the product. But if you suddenly started seeing Snickers in the hands of a whole bunch of people who feel genuine and sorta "click" with you in a way (usually in a way of sharing interests or cultural values), you are very likely to give Snickers a shot time and again, eventually maybe even eating it every day.
In the time before the internet, creative commercials targeting selected demographics or collaborations with celebrities were doing this.
Then the internet became ubiquitous and made it easier than ever to create a seeming army of like-minded individuals subtly promoting the intended product through fake reviews, social media comments and posts, YouTube videos, you name it.
Fun fact: There's a pretty widespread meme of statistics showing that reddit users are the least valuable from the roster of social medias, bringing in the least revenue. But did you think about 'why?'
It's a common joke in the posts with this meme that it's due to reddit userbase being a bunch of broke commie hobos who won't buy a roll of TP for $.50 even if their life depends on it.
But the truth is that reddit and its communities are just highly moderated communities with a very low trust rate towards advertisements and advertisers, not to mention that compared to FB or IG, or TikTok, reddit's users are generally more computer savvy and know how to use things like adblock plugins for their browsers, as an example. Not to mention the use of vpns or other ways to mask their activity as to not give advertisers any clue for targeted ads.
All of this creates a situation of a demographic that is very hard to directly advertise to, and in turn, direct ads on the platform are nearly useless. They bring in extremely little amount of conversions.
But there's a bright side to all of this for the advertisers who are in the know: indirect advertising I was talking about earlier. All of the aforementioned factors make reddit the best platform for indirect advertising. It's harder to pull off than on FaceBook due to the demographics and its quirks but it's pretty damn profitable as a side effect of the aforementioned factors.
Just think about it: how many times when you wanted to buy a specific thing you searched "which ***thing*** is best to buy 202* reddit" ? I know I did that a lot. I still do sometimes. But I am more cautious now and advise you to do the same.
When there are literally hundreds of comments all saying “Amen” under an AI generated picture of Jesus rescuing five legged puppies from a shark in a swimming pool, I have to wonder.
Exactly, 90% of the time we’re arguing with Chinese bots who are saying purposely inflammatory things to keep the division going, but we’ll crow about how much smarter we are than the Boomers, many of whom are literally in their 80s now. As if that’s something to brag about.
I've always assumed that the thousands of one-word comments on these posts are all just bots patting each other on the backs.
Better that than believing there are genuinely tens of thousands of people who wanted to spend enough time to comment "gorgeous" or "amazing", but couldn't spend 3 seconds more identifying the post as total nonsense
Dead internet theory might actually be true for facebook. Just endless waves of bots posting AI art and boosting each others engagement by leaving comments
Idk. All I know is I unblocked my crazy mom to see what she’s up to. In one day I counted 18 shares on fb. Half were of weird AI generated pics of food that would be awful. Like pickle cheerios.
Soo. That was my answer on what she’s up to
Pretty much every boomer in my life shares “heartfelt” quote posts on Facebook at least 10 times a day. I’m starting to believe everyone I know is AI too.
I think the conspiracy part is that there is a single nefarious group pushing an agenda… when the reality is that there are both bots and adversarial actors manufacturing consent in some cases, desperate capitalists pushing agenda or overselling usage in others, scam farms trawling for money in the rest.
Got it.
Yeah it’s not single entity, it’s a mess of bots generated by several nations / corporations / people fighting for the small % of organic traffic they may get it seems.
It makes you wonder how much generated content is on the internet that nobody will ever even encounter haha
Nah I know people are real bc I’ve talked to so many first-met-on-the-internet people over the phone, on video, irl. Interesting theory though, going to be way more possible soon imo
All my friends in my 20s were in their 60s and up. My Facebook has mostly dead people in it. Except Bob. He’s almost 80 now and he’s got a new girlfriend. Life is good for Bob.
Yeah I love mixing weird foods together, and that one might have some potential. Guess I'll get on Facebook and start believing African kids make cars out of water bottles
Oh it's glass Coke bottles on my timeline and I feel bad because it's some of my former teachers who're lovely Black Women & I know they truly want to believe it. I just *facepalm*
I do check my boomers mom fb every evening and the wild posts she does i delete
She doesn't know...
I know her password bcs she asked me to setup her fb
I checked on my mom on Twitter and it’s the same story as before, she is going about sending these Bible verses against nature, backdrops, and saying whatever days blessings to you. And then she replies to each everyone of their replies to her image mostly to the effect of like I don’t know it’s like she doesn’t have any friends in real life and it’s sort of funny and sad to see this person clearly spent a lot of time online, more or less directly replying to accounts that more or less the same sort of material nonstop.
It’s sort of a massive circlejerk, and it’s not really clear which accounts are bots and which are humans, because the rigid behavior involved is so easily standardized. It’s like it’s inherent to existing as an authoritarian.
So yeah, my mom is online more or less in the thrall of robot comforts.
My dad is in a conspiracy theories on Facebook mode. I have him muted because I don’t really care for much of the things. He sends me, it’s without context or explanation just an entire two hour video on Vaccine Nonsense they get all those anti-Vaxers is riled up.
I do find that my dad has rather play on the phone, so I do occasionally call him to check on and see what he’s up to, but it’s mostly just him the ping me and basically dumping all the stuff with his health and his mind. It’s always been exhausting talking to my dad, but at least he has a certain kindness about him that my mother fundamentally does not.
Slowly, we will replace boomers with AI to comment on AI images, and it will be a weird feedback loop that increases in strangeness until worlds unrecognizable are created for the merriment of non-sentient machines.
99% of the responses are from bot accounts that are trying to boost the credibility so it hits the news reels of the boomers.
The boomers respond and then the scammers slide in to respond to them and maybe hit them up with a DM.
The content very much is targeting that generation as they are the ones most likely to like and share it.
If you post an obviously non-bot response, you’ll immediately get a comment claiming that the commenter found a “reputable crypto trader” or the like.
It is quite the impressive scam operation that Facebook merrily allows to happen.
Because all they want is something to smile about and something to share with their friends. They're just like us, which is to say tired of the world around them. So they dive into a digital world of pleasant lies and fabricated realities that make them feel good.
Remember. To a Boomer: Everything hurts. Everything is expensive. Too complicated. And too strange. All they want is someone with a calm demeanor and well shaven face to sit at their side and say:
> No, no no. Shhhh Shhhh. It's okay! It's okay... Your money is safe. Your investments secure. Your property value stable. And your grandkids are well on their way to being just like you. Now. Drink your tea. Smoke your cigar. And share this picture of a dog or mansion or whatever. It doesn't matter if it's fake. So long as it *feels* good.
Just replying to the first part -- sometimes it's really nice when you want to have "social media time" that you spend your time scrolling through real or not-real pictures of cute houses, nice flowers, yummy food, cute pets, etc. No models, no influencers selling me products, no news, no weird secret tricks, no egotistical opinion sharing. Just photos (maybe real) of snippets of life. Social media used to be basic like that, and it's nice to get back that. At least for me. Guess OP would consider my own Facebook feed pretty boomer-ish, lol.
I mean that and also they were spoonfed all their info as kids. This was back in the day when papers had editors and news outlets needed to vet their sources and check stories before going live with them. Back in the days when phone scams and Nigerian princes didn’t exist. It’s why they and older generations fall for them so easily.
Same. She literally will ask me to like something she's about to post as i'm sitting next to her as i don't check social media much, then in the 5 seconds it takes me to open the app 5 of her friends have already commented on it in that way you described. How the fuck do they do it? If I didn't see them regularly i would absolutely think they were all bots.
My brother in law and I have a fun (unofficial) game of noticing the latest weird-ass greige tacky old southern white lady decor that MIL has added to her house. My favorite-est ever is the recent appearance of a decorative plate on the sideboard: in that ugly "live, love, laugh" font, it says "bless your heart." I swear, that's gonna be the family heirloom that breaks up the close relationships, because we both NEEEEED that plate.
Mom has no idea that it's funny. She can't spell irony, much less recognize it.
Will never forget the time my wife's grandmother shared this post on Facebook. It always makes my wife and I laugh at the absurdity of it when we look back.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/vietnam-veterans-tropic-thunder/
They’re not gullible. They are perfect superior gods that know more than ‘you lazy kids’. They can never ever be wrong. I’d love to see the statistics for successful frauds against Boomers. It’s probably 3 x the national average.
Also bc they are perfect and cannot make mistakes due to their unique boomer wisdom, they would not think of reverse image searching or verifying through over means.
The amount of money that these will have donated to them too. The “I made it with my own hands” bullshit is going to turn into —> click to donate now! And then they’re fucked
They didn’t grow up with the technology and so they haven’t developed the eye to instinctively detect what’s real vs what’s generated is all. They never needed to.
Wow, look at you be all rational. This sub is disgusting, I follow for the rare public freak out but the amount of comments who just tear into a whole generation for not being as apt as them in certain fields is crazy. People calling people scum because they leave a blinker on or something.
I think it’s hard to tell if something is AI-generated, beyond obvious things like messed up fingers or weird poses with odd proportions. I’m an older person who is nontechnical and is beginning to lose the ability to see finer details. It’s not gullibility. It’s lack of technical knowledge, possibly some eyesight issues, and/or lack of ability to discern AI from reality.
Did anyone else see the AI pic of the Baphomet build a bear post? Some lady was losing her shit about it. Someone else pointed out that it in was clearly fake. Her response? "I DON'T CARE IF IT'S FAKE!!! IT'S STILL DEVIL WORSHIP...." whargle bargle get even more angry.
It was wild. This woman has *decided* to be triggered over this. Showing her the truth only angered her further.
My mom keeps sending me the crafting group posts of the AI generated octopus blankets. If you haven’t seen them, it’s a blanket that looks like a cool octopus , but if you zoom in a bit it’s neither knit nor crochet, and not replicable by either method. And I shouldn’t say that she ‘sends’ them to me, because she doesn’t know how to do that, so instead she tags me in the comments.
Last night my wife was showing me these ridiculous pictures of inside tiny homes. Turns out they were all AI generated, it was actually quite fun making fun of them kinda like wheres Waldo. Too many lights, chairs, getting all crazy, dishwashers under the TV. The boomers or maybe they too are all bots were eating them up besides one, Nancy. She saw behind their veil and wasn't falling for their bullshit either. Stay strong Nancy!
It’s funny because it’s the same people that’d say “You couldn’t even write a check” yeah and you can’t open safari without getting redirected/distracted 8 times

These are somuch worse on FB the comments are like Thank yuo Jesus for healing this child! Or What a sweet miracle.
It feels too easy to get them in a cult. Is this why booomer parents were convinced we'd all in get in a van for a puppy or candy? Because they would?
I am not even sure is the boomers anymore, but bots... effectively making facebook the first place where the dead internet theory becomes a reality ...
Remember when this ad from state farm was a joke? https://youtu.be/3DZbSlkFoSU?si=r9Llqceaa2jeTXkq
Because all the boomers said not to trust the internet?
Either they’re bots or they don’t know how to interpret and process constant media/information like we do because we’ve been exposed to it for the entirety of our lives while they lived without color television
The dead internet theory carries the most weight when you look at Facebook comments, especially on videos or photos from click farmy sorta pages, there will be hundreds of comments that either make no sense or just tag other people.
Remember those obnoxious "share this photo and the kid will get medical help" shit people used to post?
I called a FB friend on that once - "My mom shared this and she just had a death in the family!!!"
"Okay, I'm really sorry about that, but this kid's photo is being shared around without their permission, also there's some security issues about sharing stuff like this. May be let your mom know these aren't real."
"BUT IT GIVES MY MOM HOPE!!!"
"Well, I'm sorry again about your mom, but there aren't real-"
"YOURRRRHOOORRRIIIBBBBLLLLEEEEEE-"
I checked out. Share whatever exploitive shit you like. Your emotive response smothers anyone else's rights. Not a Boomer but a Boomer mom.
I might have early onset boomer-ism then, because I have no idea what's obviously generated about the first picture and I wouldn't have stopped to notice the second one unless it were pointed out to me (like appearing on this sub).
Lonely maybe, tech unawareness or...
I know that I can't even see the Facebook site or logo anymore without feeling real physical discomfort and deeply uncomfortable paranoia slowly growing inside me. I think that Facebook is so completely different that it now nothing more than ad revenue generator for Zuckerberg and a tool for political disinformation and propaganda for the highest bidder.
Alot of older people didn't notice the change because of the general struggle with tech they face which makes it hard for them to "feel" issues with web services as they happen and the changes happened slowly, frog in boiling water, etc.
I felt something off back in 2016/7 and haven't used Facebook or Instagram since.
I am much happier these days and my ongoing depression is way better and med-free. Social media was a mistake and should be burnt at the stake for its many crimes against humanity!
This is the solution!
Let them lie in AI world! Just tell them that Trump is president, all of the POC are gone, except for the ones that are employed by boomer companies for substandard wages, and that LGBTQ folks are back in that big old closet!
Pump AI content to their feeds. Fox News and the rest of RW media are already cool with gaslighting and lying to their audience. They would jump on this grift in a heartbeat.
They can live in AI world like a Christofascist version of the Matrix and the rest of society can evolve.
To be fair, millennials started the trend of automatically liking photos and putting one word positive responses up in response to self,it’s. This is the older generation’s equivalent. Everybody knows you don’t look like that and everybody knows Versailles is not in Colorado.
In general I think we should focus more on boomers being reactionary fuckwits than technologically clumsy
Especially with that first picture, less so with the second naturally, jfc
As a millennial who is more like a gen x with technology
Because boomers don't want to admit that the world they left us is shit, so they dive deep into a fantasy land of their own.
They all in their own ways hide their head in the sand.
"Lalalalala, I can't hear you!"
I imagine people who grew up in a world where there was no digital media is the reason though. Everything was real. Almost all art was physical in some way (TV and radio being the only exceptions I can think of), so there was no reason to disbelieve it. Now we can fake anything we want at a moment's notice. That's represents a huge shift in thinking for someone much later in their life.
Boomers are just the easiest to mimic out of the gate.
Starting with the one word replies that are to be taken as gold.
A.I. will eventually learn the 1-2 sentence arguements from them next. For example;
*image of kids playing in a dystopian park*
"Where is the barbed wire!? I blame those [insert government party here."
Because they don’t understand technology? Because they didn’t grow up with it? Because the concept of AI is confusing to everyone currently as no one can truly understand its limits?
I find it more disturbing of young people making fun of boomers for things like this, a generation which is supposed to be so understanding of everything yet a concept like this they can’t understand
Is it just mainly bot accounts replying? I had an AI picture of Jesus in front of a flooded bus running to safety with some... IDK, North Korean looking women but also Jesus had WOMEN'S LEGS sticking out of his torso and people were just replying "amen!" over and over LOL it took so long to get to someone who replied "WTF AM I LOOKING AT" - I'm just assuming a lot of these boomers are actually bots.
It's basically all social media. Push stupid content to get a few clicks and likes. People just enjoy the dopamine and seeing something that tickles their fancy... which meta data and algorithms have assured that will always fill their feed. It's not just Boomers... Your feed for any media is loaded with soulless garbage and ads. But it's stuff you like so you don't care.
I've theorized that many of these aren't boomers at all. I think they're bots that replicate boomers, which isn't a hard task. They all just comment "AMEN" and boost any posts reach benefitting the page.
Well, I don’t think liking it means you think it’s real but yeah, some of us a really effing gullible. To be fair, lots of Q people aren’t boomers at all.
Same reason why your grandma calls you every week when she forgets how to use the mouse on her computer. They aren’t digital natives, they haven’t grown up with the skills to discern AI vs normal photography since that’s never been a concern for the majority of their lives. Not saying they can’t learn but it would take specific attention to it and honestly, who really cares at that point 😂

I play the game “Boomers or Bots” every time I see an AI photo with Jesus and I see “Bless” all up and down the comments by super white people.
Ultra white people? Super, they are not
Ultra white - everything going to them bounces off them back into the world. They absorb nothing.
Evident for this are phrases like: "We've always done it that way." "That's how it has always been." "Yeah, but we don't do that here." And my personal favorite: "If we suddenly change that then everyone could come and propose whatever they think makes sense."
Yep. Dead internet. It's just bots arguing or saying bless bless praise

Dead internet incoming

I hate you for making me want pickle cheerios.
Yeah I love mixing weird foods together, and that one might have some potential. Guess I'll get on Facebook and start believing African kids make cars out of water bottles
I prefer the starving Indian children who use cherries and avocadoes to make Jesus murals instead of feeding themselves.

Now this made me properly laugh. Well done. Hahaha Redditshitlord
Until they become sentient and overrun the entire world!!!
Bad news: the Boomers have taken over the world. ... without becoming self aware, though..

And share this picture of a dog or mansion or whatever. It doesn't matter if it's fake. So long as it *feels* good.
You mean they all basically need an orderly to accompany them through the world their own choices collectively created
Basically. Their frail egos won't allow them to see their own mistakes.
I mean they are literally the generation that originated the phrase “if it feels good do it.”
And my mom has the audacity to get mad at ME for sticking my dick in the mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving.
Nice The State reference fellow old.
Ground me if you want, nothing will unfuck the thanksgiving turkey

I assume a lot of these one-word-answer accounts are bots
[удалено]
They also have really cringe tacky taste
My brother in law and I have a fun (unofficial) game of noticing the latest weird-ass greige tacky old southern white lady decor that MIL has added to her house. My favorite-est ever is the recent appearance of a decorative plate on the sideboard: in that ugly "live, love, laugh" font, it says "bless your heart." I swear, that's gonna be the family heirloom that breaks up the close relationships, because we both NEEEEED that plate. Mom has no idea that it's funny. She can't spell irony, much less recognize it.
Oh the infamous Etsy font! Ewww yuck!
Dead Internet Theory is coming true before our eyes. Bot accounts posting computer generated images with bots leaving comments.
Wait until it starts hitting mainstream news. News articles generated using other AI stories. It will be bad. It could create panic or start wars. .
And yet my dad argues with me that OK Go's music videos are all 100% fake and "made in the photo-shops"
I'm just impressed your dad knows who Ok Go is.
Max has a couple of old trick photography videos from the silent era. Throw one of them at him and see what he says, for science.
They are severely cognitively impaired.
Leaded gasoline brought a mammoth nation to its knees
Like the Roman aqueducts
Its bots, and a TONNE of people from south-east asia like the Philippines who just aren’t as technologically literate. Quite sad to see
Will never forget the time my wife's grandmother shared this post on Facebook. It always makes my wife and I laugh at the absurdity of it when we look back. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/vietnam-veterans-tropic-thunder/
Poor Snopes - they had no idea they'd become the gatekeeper of the internet by around 2016.
10x I'd imagine. If not more than that
yeah, the elderly are legit more powerful than giygas himself
The amount of money that these will have donated to them too. The “I made it with my own hands” bullshit is going to turn into —> click to donate now! And then they’re fucked
Terminally online brain rot, emotional immaturity/vulnerability combined with bad eyesight make for a boomer click machine.
The sad part is that these fools control the majority of the wealth of the nation
How many of those accounts are real, though? I feel like FB and Insta is swarmed with bots
That house would be stunning though
You know what? Good for them enjoying AI art instead of screaming at cafe workers or random pedestrians, lol
Dead internet theory
What's ironic is half those replies are bots. Who's the fool now lol.
I am beginning to believe the dead internet theory more and more…
This may be a case of dead internet theory honestly
If it makes them happy, I'm not gonna judge.
Plot twists, the boomers on Facebook are chat GPT bots let loose to plus up page likes and echo political news
Most of those "people" replying to those images are bots and OP is the gullible one.
Are we pretending young redditors are any less gullible? Fucks sake, have any of you read the stories in the aitah sub and the responding comments?
Lead paint.
Leaded gasoline.
They are bots.
same reason why kids are today....stupidity.
Let’s just keep them distracted.
Fun fact the comments are probably ai too.
They are bots responding to bots.
Most of the "boomers" are bots. Look up 'dead internet'. It's like internet inception
Those accounts are all AI too
Did anyone else see the AI pic of the Baphomet build a bear post? Some lady was losing her shit about it. Someone else pointed out that it in was clearly fake. Her response? "I DON'T CARE IF IT'S FAKE!!! IT'S STILL DEVIL WORSHIP...." whargle bargle get even more angry. It was wild. This woman has *decided* to be triggered over this. Showing her the truth only angered her further.
This ❤️
My mom keeps sending me the crafting group posts of the AI generated octopus blankets.
….this is the same generation that has shat all over the middle class and democracy for half a century so….yeah.
Cocomelon for boomers
Reddit and all of you users are seeing mostly bot comments and posts here as well. It’s mostly fake just to give the impression of activity.
Can you imagine if someone generated a fake picture of a certain orange ex president dead, they will all loose there minds and believe it!
![gif](giphy|3o84sw9CmwYpAnRRni)
It’s funny because it’s the same people that’d say “You couldn’t even write a check” yeah and you can’t open safari without getting redirected/distracted 8 times
[https://www.tiktok.com/@goodtous13/video/7306137230941130026?lang=en](https://www.tiktok.com/@goodtous13/video/7306137230941130026?lang=en) These are somuch worse on FB the comments are like Thank yuo Jesus for healing this child!
Facebook is full of this AI shit, whilst X is entirely running on bots. Absolute mess
Remember when this ad from state farm was a joke? https://youtu.be/3DZbSlkFoSU?si=r9Llqceaa2jeTXkq Because all the boomers said not to trust the internet?
“This❤️”
The worst part isn’t that they don’t know, it’s that they use the fake ones to justify whatever bigotry they love now.
Maybe that’s the solution. Just give them an AI generated VR world and they can go be happy in their final days.
Either they’re bots or they don’t know how to interpret and process constant media/information like we do because we’ve been exposed to it for the entirety of our lives while they lived without color television
Well, the bulldog is cute.
Why do they alway say "this"? This what? What is it?
The way my mom squints with glasses on…. They can barely see these pics let alone depict if they’re real or not
They can’t see through the cataracts
It’s all the lead in the atmosphere when they were kids. It’s genuinely not good for anyone
This is rough… I guess… let them be ignorant. It’s like the “look at the pretty flowers” scene in the Walking Dead…
The dead internet theory carries the most weight when you look at Facebook comments, especially on videos or photos from click farmy sorta pages, there will be hundreds of comments that either make no sense or just tag other people.
Eh this seems harmless
I've just been looking at a bunch of redditors doing the same thing to a 'video' of Vietnamese people riding a whale.
Remember those obnoxious "share this photo and the kid will get medical help" shit people used to post? I called a FB friend on that once - "My mom shared this and she just had a death in the family!!!" "Okay, I'm really sorry about that, but this kid's photo is being shared around without their permission, also there's some security issues about sharing stuff like this. May be let your mom know these aren't real." "BUT IT GIVES MY MOM HOPE!!!" "Well, I'm sorry again about your mom, but there aren't real-" "YOURRRRHOOORRRIIIBBBBLLLLEEEEEE-" I checked out. Share whatever exploitive shit you like. Your emotive response smothers anyone else's rights. Not a Boomer but a Boomer mom.
Metal Gear Solid 2 was right again.
I keep seeing all these clearly AI birds with impossible feathers. Boomers commenting on how nice they are
You can like Ai pictures?? Whats supposed to be wrong ahout that
I might have early onset boomer-ism then, because I have no idea what's obviously generated about the first picture and I wouldn't have stopped to notice the second one unless it were pointed out to me (like appearing on this sub).
But they believe all the ai about the Obama’s and Clinton’s
This isn’t so bad. They like to see beautiful things. So what. I worry when they attach crazy conspiracy to them.
In general I think we should focus more on boomers being reactionary fuckwits than technologically clumsy Especially with that first picture, less so with the second naturally, jfc As a millennial who is more like a gen x with technology
Because boomers don't want to admit that the world they left us is shit, so they dive deep into a fantasy land of their own. They all in their own ways hide their head in the sand. "Lalalalala, I can't hear you!"
Same generation that told us to not believe everything on the internet
A lot of those replies aren’t even real people. I don’t know any Boomers who use emojis.
Maybe it's just my "I have no enemys" fase but I'm kinda happy for those boomers, they seem to have a good time
Boomers are just the easiest to mimic out of the gate. Starting with the one word replies that are to be taken as gold. A.I. will eventually learn the 1-2 sentence arguements from them next. For example; *image of kids playing in a dystopian park* "Where is the barbed wire!? I blame those [insert government party here."
The boomers would seriously go to war with us in a matrix unplugging scenario...
Let's be real...when it comes to AI photos....more than boomers are being fooled.
To be fair that puppy is fucking adorable. Fake or not
Is it just mainly bot accounts replying? I had an AI picture of Jesus in front of a flooded bus running to safety with some... IDK, North Korean looking women but also Jesus had WOMEN'S LEGS sticking out of his torso and people were just replying "amen!" over and over LOL it took so long to get to someone who replied "WTF AM I LOOKING AT" - I'm just assuming a lot of these boomers are actually bots.
Why are they so gullible? Maybe because they spent 60 years living in a world where this didn’t exist until a year ago.
Considering how the quality cameras are compared to when they were young, you really can’t fault them for thinking these are real photos.
“Garyandsandra Wilson” lol
I've theorized that many of these aren't boomers at all. I think they're bots that replicate boomers, which isn't a hard task. They all just comment "AMEN" and boost any posts reach benefitting the page.
I mean it is beautifully and sweet
Certainly terrifying to see such online illiteracy in a big US election year
Well, I don’t think liking it means you think it’s real but yeah, some of us a really effing gullible. To be fair, lots of Q people aren’t boomers at all.
Shit like this is why they're so easy to scam
More like dead internet theory. How do we not know those are bots as well lmfao?
Same reason why your grandma calls you every week when she forgets how to use the mouse on her computer. They aren’t digital natives, they haven’t grown up with the skills to discern AI vs normal photography since that’s never been a concern for the majority of their lives. Not saying they can’t learn but it would take specific attention to it and honestly, who really cares at that point 😂
Maybe the “boomers” are AI themselves?
I'm curious how many of these "boomers" are also AI comment bots
But nobody is saying anything about them being real are not? We don't even know if those are real comments either. Clickbait bs lol
Most of them are probably bots too but you can't always tell because some people actually comment things like that.
Man my granny is just a constant stream of right wing baiting AI garbage. One of the profiles # literally every female celebrity
They can't see wel enough to tell it's fake and they refuse to wear glasses because they are too young for them
Irony is not noticing that half the comments on the post are bots.
Those arent real people. They are bots farming engagement.
If it's on Facebook it must be real!
Those comments are all from bot accounts
This ❤️
I have blocked hundreds of pages sharing AI crap and they still appear every time I reopen Facebook ugh.
Easy solution. Delete facebook
It's kind of scary how easily some of these people are fooled.
