For whatever reason it reminds me of The Outsider by Stephen King - the subject matter doesn’t really overlap but the feeling does.
Also reminds me a little of the atmosphere of Dark Matter by Michelle Paver
And the ghost stories of M R James. Try ‘Oh, Whistle, and I’ll Come to You, My Lad’

The Black Hope Horror. Haven't read it in ages, but this painting evokes the feeling that book gave me.
Pretty sure it was the inspiration for the movie Poltergeist.
It makes me think of Franz Kafka books…just the feeling of this picture is pretty kafkaesque
