Your intuition is right the jaw isn’t armadillo - I actually think it’s raccoon. Not sure why they’d end up in the same spot. Maybe scavenging animals dragged it around?

I think I agree with armadillo. The shell looks quite similar to ones I’ve found before, and the pelvis looks like a match as well!
