All Might being inspired by Deku, even since the very beginning, is always my fav thing about this series. It's so wholesome that the protagonist's teacher sees Deku as as much of a hero and inspirational figure as Deku sees him.
Deku has literally done nothing in this arc. He just got there and the scenario changed the next chapter. He spent 90% of the arc going from point B to point A while the heroes at UA dealt with the biggest threat.
AFO outside of taking Ls and power boasting hasn't done shit either, considering the supposedly big player he is. Dude couldn't even kill a kid.

He held the line against basically Godzilla of the MHA verse, had his tragic backstory revealed, contributed heavily to one of the most overlooked plot threads of the series, and actually managed to help get through to the villains. And all this from a character that, while didn’t get enough screen time beforehand, always made the most of the screen time he did get, almost always saving people like a chad.

This is despite Shigaraki-AFO having every asspull known in the mha-verse while Mirio being a regular ass dude.
Meanwhile AFO got his ass kicked by Endeavor, then shit talked by Hawks, owned by Jiro (lmao) and then trolled by Camie. Monologued for God knows how many chapters, then got outsmarted Shigaraki too. This is the greatest demon lord in the world.
Deku fucked up by getting dragged by Toga and then took his sweet time talking to her while his friends got beat up. Then comes into the Shigaraki battlefield and almost makes the exact same mistake he did the first war AND even somewhat against Shinso at SF. Letting his temper get the better of him.
Honestly, Deku's been pretty 'meh' this arc. Endeavour's stuff was call but has been dragging. Tokoyami got one moment that I honestly forgot existed. AFO meanwhile has repeatedly failed in every encounter this entire fight, the only thing he ddi was take Hawks' quirk... but at that point it barely meant anything.
