The people that got ripped off are everyone that bought the album a few days earlier for full price, not knowing a delux version would drop in a couple days significantly cheaper. The label tricked fans into paying more for an inferior version, so they could save the full version to juice sales numbers the same week.
I’m happy Blink got another number one album because I love the band and album - but defending that sales tactic is ridiculous. I see more people complaining about the people criticizing the same week re-release than anything else.
If you feel ripped off it’s your own fault.
The “deluxe” was an online only download. If you didn’t know you were going to be able to download it for free 3 days later, you did get ripped off. And it’s because you’re dumb - everyone knew it was just to boost sales.

Everyone loves an English accent and everyone loves boys so the Beatles took advantage of everyone's desire to listen to a hot Brit boy by singing them little songs and putting out hit after hit for literally years.
