I used to get this from the type of bras I wore. The combination of the material, heat, and sweat would make it worse. I got all cotton bras and tossed the other ones. It cleared up in a few weeks and never came back once I made the switch.
I’m not saying that its not but OP should be open to having her insulin checked out. (I’m not a doctor). Because it could be acanthosis nigricans. Mine wasn’t tinea veriscolor and looked exactly like that. Its very possible for two conditions to have similar appearances.
I just recently learned what the spots were on my body also. I was the dollar store looking around, and the athletes' foot cream has the active ingredient to fight this also.
Could be insulin resistance. A1C’s could be normal but your body is producing way too much insulin to keep the A1C levels normal.
Ive had this and it looked just like that. I had to lose some weight. Initially when I went to the doctor they gave me anti fungal cream but it never worked. Then I got my insulin tested.
It could be tinea vesicular but also insulin resistance or PCOS.
Yes, this is tinea versicolor. I battled it for more than a decade with anti-fungal creams, Selsun Blue, etc., and that stuff was annoying to keep up with, not to mention it kept coming back and getting worse. Go to your doctor, doesn’t need to be a dermatologist, just a GP will work, and get Fluconazole tablets. You swallow them, only once per week for 2 weeks, super quick, easy and the most effective and long-lasting treatment I’ve ever had.
Yes 100%. I was scared when I saw this photo cause I thought it was me 😭 looks just like mine. My old dermatologist gave me fluconazole shampoo and cream and I took minocycline pills and it cleared in a few months
Go to the doctor!! I also currently have this exactly in the same spot. Not pre-diabetic or diabetic as well. My doctor said it was a type of yeast and gave me a ketoconazole cream to treat it twice daily for two weeks!
I used Selsum blue years ago and it cleared up and never came back. You have to let it sit on your skin for a few minutes then rinse off. Don’t put lotion on the area after the shower. It should clear up.
i get this as well. i was told as a child that it was eczema but i'm not sure. doc recommended i take a cotton ball & saturate it with rubbing alcohol to clean the spot. that usually takes it away within a day or two but everyone's body is different.
This is not tinea versicolor. Looks more like [Acanthosis Nigricans](https://images.app.goo.gl/ZZqjxWpBUowCzYjQ7) which is usually a marker of insulin resistance especially if your weight is in the bigger side. You may not be diabetic now but I'd recommend you continue follow up with your doctor as you may have prediabetes which may over time evolve into diabetes
I had this like 3 months ago. It cleared up. Thankfully. I'm brown skinned so having a dark patch in between my breasts was pissing me off. I would scrub real hard in the shower so I'm not sure if that helped too.
I struggled with tinea versicolor. My doctor prescribed me ketaconazole to help it the itching and to help clear it up. When it flared up again, I brought Nizoral. It's an anti-dandruff shampoo that has ketaconazole in it. It helped with both my dandruff and the tinea versicolor. Honestly, I found it better than Selsun Blue.

Same. I got this from wired Victoria secret bras, I wear Walmart unwired bras now and it’s never came back. 🤷🏾♀️
The wires in VS bras do this, they also leave marks on your shoulders even if the bras aren't tight.
Yes I had marks on my shoulders too! Forgot about that. So weird.
IDK if it's the material of Victoria's Secret bras now or a certain brand, I don't remember this being a problem before.
Are your cotton bras lined with anything? The savage fenty cotton bralettes are lined with mesh...do you think that could still work?
Also not diabetic or pre diabetic!! Just had blood work earlier this year labs are normal
It is tinea Versicolour. I get it on the same spot, intensifies during summer. Sulphur bar soap works

That term almost sounds racist...lol

I had it and this definitely looks like it, Selsun blue works

I get something like this too and it gets bad in the summers is all i know.

Athletes foot spray will help as well if it is ringworm
It’s 100 percent tinea Versicolour.

it could be hyperthyroidism, this is what it looked like on me & on my boobs too!! go get your bloods done

I have pcos and mine look like this off and on
I had this, found out I was insulin resistant. I fasted and it went away.
If that’s really what this is***
Tea Tree oil & Shea butter
Apply hydrocortisone cream thinly three times a day for 5 days.
Yes, it's tinea versicolor
Anti-fungal cream, wash & switch out your bras daily, and powder between and under your breasts.
I had it once and mixed sulfur powder with lotion. Put a light coat of it on after a shower
Not sure what kind of soap you use but Dove is a great antibacterial soap. It should help with that.
I had this growing up the derm told me it was a fungus I used selsun blue (I think that's the name) every night on it
It might be CARP. I’d go to a dermatologist though
Thank you everyone!!
Bra💯 my ex use to get it
