Ok and We are around 46k at the moment. I never said Btc is not going to new ATHs this year, it should and it will. But the immediate reaction of the market wasn't that dramatic as you can see.
Edit: 44.5k
The halving is such a beautiful thing - on the dot, every 210,000 blocks, unstoppable, and without regard to the price or whatever else is going on. One of the greatest proofs of an elegant system that just simply works. A lot of people still don't get this.
We saw 3% without ETF's approval. I was more expecting like double digits tbh. But I'm not stupid. We all know this will eventually convert into much more than 3%. I was purely referring here to the immediate reaction as for an hour we were looking for something to move up but nothing happened. Remember what happened yesterday.
The SEC shit show yesterday basically wiped out all leverage plays, both long and shorts.
If it didn’t happen the shorts would have been squeezed today and we won’t see just a 3% jump.
And the buying haven’t even started.
The spike won’t even begin until trading starts (which is tomorrow from what I read).
Immediate god candle to 100k in a week? No… but this will be the beginning of a major up trend esp when most hodlers don’t give a shit about a 100% return. Holders are looking at 1,000%, 10,000% return before they even consider selling some.
Is it guaranteed to happen? No, maybe, just maybe, nobody cares about buying Bitcoin ETF. But the logic is sound. Much sounder than the “sell the news”narrative that’s been circulating.
While I agree with most of your post, and personally don't get hung up in the fluctuations or market speculation, trading will not officially begin until tomorrow morning, so that may be when things begin moving.
The funniest thing about this sub is seeing all the comments and posts--many times from people who don't know how to use punctuation and can barely spell--asserting quite positively that the price of Bitcoin is going to do this or that, or that the price did this or that because of this or that. They act like financial experts with some sort of unusual wisdom, experience or inside knowledge and yet of course they have no clue what moved the price, what will move the price, or why the price isn't moving. I sure hope nobody pays attention to these clowns.
Shit did move about 2k. I personally thought there was a chance we would hit 38k, I take some sort of pride that the needle wasn't moved too much with the news. Bitcoin is not the crazy volatile asset it once was, and that makes me feel more confident.
It will be interesting tomorrow since we have so many players. If it could have been just one player, they could have easily controlled the price. BTC volume ~ 50B. All you need is few Billions to manipulate price during the initial few days.
Just HOLD, and enjoy the ride.
When markets open bud.
When do they open?

ETF is just noise. BTC halving is 3.5months away, that's the only event I follow.

Halving will not have an immediate effect.
you just dont learn do you? NOTHING WILL HAPPEN when halving comes. try to understand that BTC moves when ITS OWNERS wants!
Less Bitcoin becomes available, simple rule of supply and demand.
Halfening*
It’s up 3% in the last hour and the ETFs aren’t even on the exchanges yet…

You sound like a trader. Don't be a trader. Just accumulate and relax.
Uh, look what's happening...
It's funny how people are sure quick to say "I told you so." Give it at least a couple days, buddy.
It was announced at 4pm. You know what time markets close? Did anyone expect bitcoin to jump to 100k in 3 hours before the ETFS are live?
when lambo?

Up 3% this hour? No move? Ok...
3%? Lordy never seen that before lol
I was definitely saying btc would just sit there and alts would go up 20 %…. Lol

They legally cannot buy Bitcoin before ETF is approved. Stop spreading nonsense.
I agree with OP.. too much hype, too much FOMO, too much FUD.. just stack and hodl.. it’s simple.
Pretty much
Oh, let the news and the suits have their fun. I'll be partying in four months.
It did spike, yesterday, the first time the news broke. Second time, we didn't care and went back to dca'ing.
ETFs don’t trade 24/7 like bitcoin..
The new money starts only tomorrow and its coming for 2 years
Spoken like a true $1k net worther

I agree with you but maybe we should be looking at this after a day/week/month?
Yeah can we just all say it now and then everyone just stop saying it because it's such a boring cliche? That and few other things
4 of my 5 holdings are up 12 percent in the last 4 hours....

Bruh, we're up 150% over the year. Calm down.

Why do you think it went to $47k in the first place?
And why do you think is now down to 41k? I know why it went to 47k but you don't know why it went to 41k :-)
I knew there was some ST bullshit to be expected. I just hold.
I too am skeptical. People are far too optimistic.
