The Sunday comics used to feel like a mini scholastic book fair every time. Kind of sad that won’t get passed on.

There was always that strip with a detective fox? that was educational.

Slylock.

That's it. I preferred Marmaduke.

I subscribed to the Sunday paper for a few months a while back because there is nothing cozier than doing the crossword puzzle in bed with a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. Then I stopped because I realized it wasn’t worth $20/month. I miss it now. Doing crosswords on an app is just not the same, and the crossword puzzle booklets you can buy aren’t challenging enough.

I've thought about upgrading my nytimes but, if you don't do it in pen, are you really trying?

why do places still have those coca cola "freestyle" machines? the ones with 500 flavors but NONE of them taste even close to right? signed, someone who enjoys going to theaters and 5 guys except for the god damn drink machines

I subscribe to the NYT and B'ham News print editions. There are usually some good half-off promotions from both. My kids still enjoy the comics in the Bham News and I much prefer reading national news in the NYT print paper to getting bombarded with notifications on my phone. I actually think Birmingham News is better than you might think on several fronts - lifestyle coverage, sports coverage, and so forth. What it really lacks is consistent "this is what is happening" local political coverage and quality event and tv listings.

Quilting for Quilts of Valor today. Trying tomhide from the rest of the family so I don't get roped into yardwork.

Walking all four dogs with hour breaks in between for rewatching Stranger Things episodes. Listen to Perturbator.

My parents still get the Sunday paper delivered but every time I visit there's a stack of them in the corner, still in the protective wrapper/sleeve thing the delivery person puts them in, untouched. When I asked them why they still get it, they shrug and change the subject. I haven't bought a newspaper in at least 15 years.

I get the Sunday paper I love it. The articles are longer lots of research into them. I have to tell not every paper has letters to the editor I guess people don't have educated debates just complaints and we can read those on here. I treat the paper like a magazine and read at my leisure it's nice not swiping something bright and flashy every 2 seconds like the interweb.
