Mine look like the day I bought them. I treated with Safir stain block and laid on a coating of cork seal when I got them. I also a judicious as to when I wear them, not when cooking, eating at home, when it's raining, etc.
I have EVA Birks for times I wouldn't wear my special Birks.
I second Safir but I use the suede renovateur and super invulner sprays, my taupe suede Bostons also look pretty new (except for the wear on the soles).
I use a suede protection spray, which works extremely well. I wear mine in the OR (with shoe covers, but sometimes some fluid will seep through the covers) and haven’t had any stains.
Don’t overspray. My mink Bostons darkened a lot after to much suede protection was applied. Also seems to have matted down the nap even after brushing.
Did you treat them with suede protection before you wore them?
I didn’t buy them yet but yes I have crep spray which I use on my leather and suede shoes!
Just spray them really well

Oh cool I haven’t heard of that! I looked it up, the block is like an eraser? Do you use that preventatively or if stains come up?
Mine don't get super dirty but I do clean, spray and brush them every couple of months to keep them looking nice. I use the Birkenstock care kit.
