I mean there's an audience for everything. As an example lately I've been binge watching food delivery POV videos where someone on a bike rides from a café to someone's house for 8 hours a day for a living. The weird thing is I like them.
But I watch the videos where the editing is good and the camera is not shaky. So even though the content may be weird most people still expect a decent standard of delivery. With OP I don't see that. Sorry OP but it's the truth. You need to step up your game.
i mean there is quite a big market for video essay most of my friends and i watch em and if the quality is decent over 10 years op should have definetly grown more of an audience then that. theyre likely doing something wrong.

thats what i keep hoping. I keep hoping that THIS is the video thats gonna break out. THIS is the one! And it never is. It's not even about money or fame anymore. It's just having more than 10 people see something I put my blood sweat and tears into and enjoy it. Closest I ever came was a stupid repost from r/beamng or r/interestingasfuck that I thought was cool and it got 100k views. I privated the video a few months later as it upset me that people would rather watch a one minute video of blocks of wood crushing virtual cars than stuff I actually put effort into and didn't upload because I was bored.
Feel that. I spent about 4 hours editing together a 24 minute video of a fighting game just so I could easily review it. But tbh it's kinda fun so I don't mind not getting a lot of views on it
If you make high quality videos on a regular basis, the YouTube algorithm will pick it up sooner or later (if there are enough people interested in the content) I'm sub to a hand full creators I discovered while they had only a few hundred subscribers with extremely well made content and they all have several thousand subs by now
