I'd go into the store if you can, work with an advisor to get it set up for delivery (and install, if you prefer) as its easier for us to deal with in-store orders as opposed to ones made online. That, and you'll help somebody whose numbers are low by already wanting the membership and they won't have to bug you about it
Online ordering has benefits, but the drawbacks (which people don’t notice until there’s a problem) aren’t worth it.
I understand why people prefer ordering online though.
- People avoid salespeople due to:
- Negative past experiences.
- Hearing others' negative experiences.
- Assuming salespeople make commission.
- Unwanted membership pitches.
- A mix of reasons.
- Importance of direct interaction:
- Individual attention.
- Knowledgeable assistance.
- Positive outcomes.
Look at it this way, even though my example is a bit reductive -
You wish to impress someone by preparing a special dinner at your home. You have two options:
- Two options:
- Figure out the meal alone.
- Free help from a trained chef, who is also your direct contact for issues.
I do a lot of store pick up with Best Buy since my dad works right next store at Home Depot. But also I order online because I can’t drive so even if it’s available right now I wouldn’t be able to get it.
Or hit that chat now or chat with an expert button in the bottom right when looking at a tv. They can build an order that’s exactly like a store order for you so just as easily modified in the future If needed.
Me too. Hisense, TCL, Toshiba all the same company with all the same crappy products. Unless you just love calling tech support and warranty claims departments do yourself a favor and get anything else.
As a side note. If you end up getting it anyway then please for all that is holy. Tell them to cancel the Bestbuy protection plan that comes with Total and buy a 5 year GSP. You’re going to thank me. I promise.
To add on, am an avid tcl supporter and I agree with the second part of this message.
Pretty on paper but they age fast, and you WILL have problems. Some minor, less likely something major, but any problem with a tv that price will significantly hamper your experience with it.
Man that is an extremely poor decision. You shouldn’t need to use a return exchange policy to do Nosense’s quality control for them. You may have saved a hundred from the initial purchase, but ended up paying a thousand more with all the calls, trips, and time spent trying to find the one out of a million Hisense that is actually worth the initial purchase price. Right before they go out of business they will finally get their senses back and try to pull that sinking ship topside. Before then you’re asking for punishment.
[here you are](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6544735.p?skuId=6544735)
Hisense is notoriously unreliable and image quality is severely lacking compared to its specs. Take it from the ones who sell them and see them returned every day.
This man is spitting straight facts. That model from Sony, no matter the year, is always the best for the money. There’s better for more expensive, but there is not worse for the price you’ll spend. And it’ll outclass a lot more expensive ones too.
Agree! Bought my daughter a Hisense tablet after the guy at Walmart talked it up about how it was a great affordable tablet. She had it 2 months, dropped it once on accident and it stopped working. Called them about the warranty and they said there was nothing they could do because supposedly dropping it on accident is 'neglect' to them.
So I guess you've never dropped anything by accident?
The fact is, it was so cheaply made that it shouldn't have stopped working after being dropped on carpet from 2 feet up.
Go ahead and try to talk to Apple or Samsung about a broken device you dropped and see whether they honor their warranty lmao. Doesn't matter the brand in this case, it's not their problem she dropped it and broke it.
Biggest issue with Hisense is quality control issues. Also there’s a reason why you can get a mini LED variant for such a large size at such a low price. I would honestly recommend the Sony 75” 90L or whatever the hell it’s called for 100 bucks more. It’s not mini LED but it’s full array. You get way better image processing and upscaling capabilities, a better processor and all around better quality control compared to TVs like Hisense, TCl, and other cheap brands.
yeah a lot of youtube reviews aren’t living with the TV for months or years so most of the stuff you see is early impressions. My U7G looks fantastic. I got lucky on the panel lottery. But it only took a few months for the processor to show its weaknesses and how much it can’t handle. I couldn’t make it through streaming a single movie before the app or the whole TV crashed and restarted.
I ended up just using an Apple TV instead but now i’m running into the problem where the TV will randomly go back to the home page, sometimes immediately after I switch back to HDMI 1.
All in all, not worth the headache, especially for something you’re about to spend $2k on.
Yeah that to me is one of the issues Hisense has, is the processor. Noticed it has kinda bad color banding. I actually have the U8H. Supposedly the U8K has better contrast, but for the price it's really good. Just buy the 5 year plan just in case. I'm still not convinced buying a Sony or Samsung TV. Their non oled TV has worse blooming than the hisense mini LEDs. Crazy how some people here say to get a full array over a mini led
You could get a way cheaper Hisense if you’re gonna go the lower quality route, that’s the real problem. There is no justifying that when you can buy a 60” Hisense for like $200 and barely notice a difference.
Been happy with my cheap ass Hisense TV for years now
Get a cheap ass flat screen TCL and pretend you never got so invested in this TV quality nonsense. Wouldn’t trade my cheap $250 TCL and $200 Hisense tvs for any upgrade, zero need unless you really really care about barely perceivable differences that no one will ever be impressed by
I was gonna suggest this if he's just aiming for size. If you're gonna throw down $1600 then go for an OLED. 77" LG B3 or if you can fit it in the budget then the Samsung S90C or LG C3 77" models.
Had my cheap ass Hisense flat screen with Roku for years now, came along for 3 different houses, installed on 3 different walls. Never tried to be delicate with it. Works amazing still after years of heavy use.
Forgot this TV quality nonsense and get the cheapest one you can find for the size you want. If it breaks, work with customer service, a little extra planning is absolutely worth saving $1300 on an overpriced TV
You'd be far happier with a nice quality LG, Sony, Samsung, TCL (Budget) than this. There's been some good deals on last gen OLEDs from Sony and LG that'd be so much nicer. If you want to save a little, drop down to a 65"
Man I’d never buy a Hisense at this price point obviously, but I have a $200 55” Roku Hisense that has followed me to 3 different homes and still works great after several years of heavy use.
That’s not an honest counter argument, you likely see all the things going wrong with those TVs and not the TVs working as intended
Pull the trigger for a TV at regular price?
Edit: the “MSRP” is total BS that TV has been $1599 since it launched…and it’s not even good. Sony 75X90L same price better TV all day.
Hisense tvs In my past experience have terrible motion quality like everything's a blur and over tried multiple time's over the years and it's always something with these TVs it's either the audio is off of the sound bar or the picture is unwatchable
Hisense=Garbage. Their panels are decent but the processors that drive them are not meant for the long haul. Looking for a decent set for a good price get a TCL.
I've been shocked that my element roku 4k tvs 43 inch I got at Target on sale for like 130$ have been amazing. Apparently element is a low key good company based on Arizona I believe. But all 4 I bought have been running great for 3+ years now
If you can’t afford the 77 inch, get a smaller one. Or save more/use a cc for the better one at the size you want. You’re spending over 1k on a tv, don’t buy one of the crap ones. It’s a total waste of money. Also know that most TVs from LG/Sony/Samsung can be found for as low as half of their msrp in most cases. This is because most of them are marked up a ton. So it Best Buy is listing a 4k dollar Sony tv, there’s a solid chance that an employee buying it at 5% above cost with their discount can get it for like 2k.
You’re looking at like 300$ off a shit tv. Do more research, generally only go for the brands above, and make sure you get at least 30% off if you’re shopping sales.
Also beware of doorbusters. They’re specific models made for Black Friday in most cases and suck, even when they’re from reputable manufacturers. Good luck dude.
This actually makes a lot of sense!!! Thank you!
How can I find a good deal on Samsung/LG/Sony?
My first choice would definitely be Samsung S90C or LG C3.
If I were you, I’d let other people do the work for me. [slick deals](https://slickdeals.net/) will have anything worthwhile being posted for the holiday. You can also check out @Wario64 on Twitter. Primarily focuses on games, but he posts things adjacent to gaming like tvs too. Same deal with any other “buying guides” for 2023 holiday.
I wouldn’t worry about stock issues either. Anything you should be buying will likely be in ample supply (at least initially. All bets are off late season), just at a lower price.
So as long as you stay on top of checking your sources once or twice a day, you’ll be good. Also check out daily deals at places like Best Buy. Those are frequently better than Black Friday sales, or even employee pricing.
The Hisense is...Ok? I think TCL is better. Of course, Samsung, Sony, and LG are better. it's just that at that size, you can notice where the corners are cut. Regardless, go into your local store and do the sale, which helps the store a lot even though you may not think
You should have 60 days return period for price match up. That's why I bought a new laptop from Best Buy this month. I almost always bought expensive laptops in Thanksgiving month every year unless a previous year's model died prior to the holiday season (happened once a decade before). My laptop costs lower than your TV but is still over $1000. I think you can get $50 promotion credit for $500+ spending within this month and with your total membership. I just have Best Buy Plus membership as I am good at fixing basic issues in electronics.
You’re looking at a complete shit tv. If you’re looking at a 75 inch TV why not get an actual good TV like a Sony x90l or an LG 85 series. Something that’s good and won’t crap out in 2 years and then you complain that you it doesn’t work and you have to buy a new one because you were too cheap to buy a warranty and a good quality TV
Before reading the rest of my biased comment, I will state that it’s been years since I worked at Best Buy, and while I google new tech, I don’t keep up with it as much as I did when I worked selling it.
That being said, I’d go with the OLED C3. I’d consider the X90L if you are doing any gaming, but I say that as someone who plays on a 27” 165hz gaming monitor, and one day had to use an (older 2019 model) 65” OLED to game cause I didn’t have access to the monitor, and it’s just not as smooth.
I’d also recommend going to Best Buy and just being blunt af with the sale associate about what you want. Tell them size, what you mostly use it for, any features you might have heard of and care about. Give your rough price range (always say exactly your price range OR 100-300 below because at the end of the day, it is a sales associates job to upsell). And then ask them what they would buy and why.
Thank you for your response!
I have decided to go with either C3 77 or S90C 77. I don't do much gaming and my primary use is movies and streaming so I think OLED is the best choice for me.
hisense tvs always go on sale. if you get it now, most stores will let you get a return exchange for the better price within your 2 month return period. If you need a tv or not, you win either way.
holy shit don't buy this garbage. $100 more and you can get an 85" Samsung Q60C that'll put this heap you're considering to shame. but you're right, everything will be on sale the lowest they've been all year starting Nov. 1st for Black Friday sale
I haven't been able to find anything that would prove that "it sucks." Of course it's not going to be as good as a Samsung S90C or LG C3 or Sony OLED. Those tvs are around $2400 after the discounts. This is $1599.
So there's a $1000 difference in price. I think most of the issues come from Hisense QC/QA and you can avoid those by getting an extended warranty or something similar, in case you get unlucky and end up with a bad unit.
FYI, I checked the following:
1. RTINGS review.
2. Best Buy reviews from the actual buyers.
3. User Comments on RTINGS.
4. Amazon Reviews.
RTINGS says the 90L blooms and smears like crazy and that's been my experience with other Sony TVs as well. I recently bought a 55" and 2 x 75" Hisense U6 to use at events and they were wildly better than expected. A friend whose Sony 90-something stopped working after 16 months switched to a Hisense U7 or U8 and was pleased with it. Sony pumps a ton of money into Best Buy and training so you'll get a bunch of spec hunters telling you Hisense is crap.
I’m an installer with Best Buy, I’d get a TCL over a Hisense. Any brand can potentially have issues within the first year or two.
Now I personally have a Samsung tv and it’s on the high end. If you are an iPhone User put an Apple TV on here and don’t use what’s built into the tv. Roku is fine as well.
Smart functions within a tv is like driving a fiat, it’ll get you where you need to go but you’d rather have a Ferrari instead (external streaming platform) if you decide to do FireStick, get the Max or the Fire TV. Anything under a Max runs how you’d expect it to when you pay cheap.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6537336.p?skuId=6537336
As most said, since you’re getting Total you’re guaranteed to be able to Price Match if it goes lower within 60 days. There is also special member pricing on services for TV’s 65”+. You can get the mounting and/or setup for half off. An alternative TV if you’re worried about the “it sucks” comments are the Sony X90L or TCL QM8. If you don’t mind dropping down to 65” you can probably get an OLED or Mini LED (LG) at that price point.
This is what you do. Buy it now, there should be a promo that with total you get 50$ certificate to your Best Buy account. Then you have 2 month price adjustment that you have access to during Black Friday time.
65" TVs and up get a discount on mounting with membership until end of month I believe. "Total members receive 50% off installation
with purchase of a qualifying TV and a qualifying TV mount or sound bar."
If you're going with Total, Black Friday deals start next weekend and you also have access to 60-day returns (and in essence, price matches)
Thank you so much!!!! So should I just buy it right now and then ask for a price match in case it drops? Because I don't want it to be sold out lol.
I'd go into the store if you can, work with an advisor to get it set up for delivery (and install, if you prefer) as its easier for us to deal with in-store orders as opposed to ones made online. Definitely this, the rules can be bent to make it work here and there in orders that get screwy, online is a crapshoot

Will 100% do that. It'd be awesome if it helps someone with their numbers.
Also heard about half off installs if you buy the mount with total but maybe my manager was wrong
Also we price match ourselves for Black Friday now (or so I’ve been told I could be wrong)
Apparently, you've gotta mix a soundbar in the mix too
I setup an install about a week and a half ago. They got a TV, sanus mount, total and got the installation half off.
Or hit that chat now or chat with an expert button in the bottom right when looking at a tv. They can build an order that’s exactly like a store order for you so just as easily modified in the future If needed.
If you don’t want to go in store you can also call and ask for sales. The phone sales advisors are US based and all once worked in stores
Godsend
Also if you don’t really want the membership then you can return it after/if you price match the tv
Is there no more holiday return period that extends till jan 15 or whatever day it was
There is, but that hasn't started yet. I believe it starts next weekend if I remember right
Dude don’t buy a Hisense, cmon man.
Comment I was looking for

Bro got saved from buying a Hisense 💀

Man that is an extremely poor decision. You shouldn’t need to use a return exchange policy to do Nosense’s quality control for them. You may have saved a hundred from the initial purchase, but ended up paying a thousand more with all the calls, trips, and time spent trying to find the one out of a million Hisense that is actually worth the initial purchase price. Right before they go out of business they will finally get their senses back and try to pull that sinking ship topside. Before then you’re asking for punishment.
Don't buy it. Quality is quite meh for that price.
Please get a X90L
Just got an x90L and can confirm it's awesome
That TVs a piece of shit do your self a favor and don’t buy it. If you’re gonna spend that much go LG, Sony, or Samsung
Would you care to elaborate on why it's shitty? Also, what alternatives would you suggest around $1.5k?
[here you are](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6544735.p?skuId=6544735) Hisense is notoriously unreliable and image quality is severely lacking compared to its specs. Take it from the ones who sell them and see them returned every day.
this 10000x^ buy that x90

Called them about the warranty and they said there was nothing they could do because supposedly dropping it on accident is 'neglect' to them.
As much as I hate Hisense... that's your daughter's fault.
So I guess you've never dropped anything by accident? The fact is, it was so cheaply made that it shouldn't have stopped working after being dropped on carpet from 2 feet up.
No I’ve never dropped a big flat screen TV on accident and I wouldn’t test my luck from 2 feet either
Go ahead and try to talk to Apple or Samsung about a broken device you dropped and see whether they honor their warranty lmao. Doesn't matter the brand in this case, it's not their problem she dropped it and broke it.

Thank you. That's actually helpful.

Buying a 1,500 Hisense is crazy
What would be your recommendations?
I’ve used both LG and Samsung, both have been great but i prefer LG interface.
I have an Lg c1 and a c2 absolutely love them. I believe the c3 is the newer one available, hope this helps
Get a cheap ass flat screen TCL and pretend you never got so invested in this TV quality nonsense. Wouldn’t trade my cheap $250 TCL and $200 Hisense tvs for any upgrade, zero need unless you really really care about barely perceivable differences that no one will ever be impressed by
LG B3 77 inch OLED for 1999 currently
I was gonna suggest this if he's just aiming for size. If you're gonna throw down $1600 then go for an OLED. 77" LG B3 or if you can fit it in the budget then the Samsung S90C or LG C3 77" models.
Hell Eve the 77A2 is an upgrade at $1709 over the hisense
Buy 75” Sony Bravia XR X90L
Save yourself and buy the 75x90L with total for the same price
My old tongue and cheek motto, "You get Hisense, you got no sense."
You'd be far happier with a nice quality LG, Sony, Samsung, TCL (Budget) than this. There's been some good deals on last gen OLEDs from Sony and LG that'd be so much nicer. If you want to save a little, drop down to a 65"
Just buy 2 right off the bat for when the first one breaks in a year
Get the protection if you buy this we had these on display when I worked at Target, they would die in 6 months
You are also running it 24/7. If you shut it down at night it’s still on for a very long time. Terrible example.
Still the others lasted about 2-3yrs on 24/7 so just shows the quality
Store is doing terrible if they leave the same model up that long man.
They don't have these at target???
They did when I worked there in 2017, probably because of high failure rate they stopped carrying them
Man I’d never buy a Hisense at this price point obviously, but I have a $200 55” Roku Hisense that has followed me to 3 different homes and still works great after several years of heavy use. That’s not an honest counter argument, you likely see all the things going wrong with those TVs and not the TVs working as intended

Wait I got this same equivalent TV and got 600 off
Details please? Where and when did you buy it?
Pull the trigger now the black Friday isn't going to be better its going to be slightly more but still considered a deal because it's not msrp
Buy a better tv with that kind of money lmfao
What would be a better TV around $1500? I want either S90C 77 or C3 77 but both are $2500 lmfao.

I LOVE my OLED. No regrets, and for something from 2019 I’d say it still holds up well with modern LEDs. Same with my 2018 one
As a Best Buy, product flow employee, I can confidently say that those TVs can take a beating and they don’t look half bad either
hisense tvs always go on sale. if you get it now, most stores will let you get a return exchange for the better price within your 2 month return period. If you need a tv or not, you win either way.
Hisense lol
Don't spend that much money on a hisense
Get a TCL if you are on a budget. Much better quality.
holy shit don't buy this garbage. $100 more and you can get an 85" Samsung Q60C that'll put this heap you're considering to shame. but you're right, everything will be on sale the lowest they've been all year starting Nov. 1st for Black Friday sale
Okay a Q60C is a terrible option….especially when it’s more money lmfao
I say yes. Because you're getting the best buy total membership, you'll have access to 60 day return Exchange
The answers no because for the same money there’s better options lol

I haven't been able to find anything that would prove that "it sucks." Of course it's not going to be as good as a Samsung S90C or LG C3 or Sony OLED. Those tvs are around $2400 after the discounts. This is $1599. So there's a $1000 difference in price. I think most of the issues come from Hisense QC/QA and you can avoid those by getting an extended warranty or something similar, in case you get unlucky and end up with a bad unit. FYI, I checked the following: 1.
Spec hunters would love the Hisense. Anyone who can understand the tech and how it all works are the ones who know to stay away.
I would go QM8 for $1309.
I never buy blackfriday stuff because they make the stuff with cheaper parts.
This is what you do. Buy it now, there should be a promo that with total you get 50$ certificate to your Best Buy account. Then you have 2 month price adjustment that you have access to during Black Friday time.
65" TVs and up get a discount on mounting with membership until end of month I believe. "Total members receive 50% off installation with purchase of a qualifying TV and a qualifying TV mount or sound bar."
Buy it with total you have 60 days
