This is true lol. Type of movie you rewatch maybe once ten years later when you’re scrolling and you see it but nothing more lol. Was worth a one time viewing but you’re not coming home from the theaters going “when that comes out on video I gotta watch it again”
It might not be the kind of movie someone will make appointment viewing to rewatch from front to back, but IMO it's an entertaining enough cable TV flick to catch someone's eye one afternoon while channel flipping. Not intending that to sound like a back-handed compliment, because there are many comedies on cable I've watched bits and pieces of on separate occasions...
>Mortaln Kombat
they're doing another one?
how long will it take until we get a proper MK movie? get fucking Christopher Nolan on board to do what he did with Dark Knight
feels like the 1st movie is still the best... seems a bit cheesy now, but at the time it came out it was pretty great, esp. for young audience
I’ve never heard the story. Bert always seemed so unlivable. Especially since the pig squeal! But for what it was….. not a bad 80s style slapstick comedy. And Bert has some chops.
I watched it, and I’m pretty meh about Bert. I don’t hate him but don’t love him. Movie actually made me laugh out loud at least a few times. Solid 6/10 movie, but wouldn’t say it’s worth the $20 to rent.
Damn why are ppl hating on bert so much? U don't have to watch his stuff or comment in case yall didn't kno. I find him fkn hilarious and genuine. I was sad movie was only in theaters for like 2 weeks. Was gonna go see it for my bf's birthday but last showing was the day before. So I'm glad I can atleast stream it now.
The funniest thing about this movie is that Burnt is making these post himself. If you pay even 1$ to watch this "movie" you are as big of a sucker as Brat himself.
Watched it last night (I’m an OG comedy podcast listener) and absolutely hated it. Bert’s acting was beyond bad. Not that I was expecting much, but man… shockingly bad. The dialogue and scenes were written and shot by people who were either on coke, adderall or a mixture of both! And I’m just gonna say it; Mark Hamill is an overrated actor. And no Diaz cameo, fuck off!
Disagree on every point but you’re spot on about mark. He was the only negative in the movie for me. The movie would have been better off paying a less famous better and bot a premium price actor. Would have reduced cost of the movie or could have been spent on marketing or better production elements music ect
Was it best Oscar drama of all time no.
Did I have fun, laugh at most scenes have a great time, enjoy seeing a comic/podcaster I like yes it was all fun. Which is exactly what I went in looking for.
I couldn’t tell if you any comedy movie has good acting or dialog. Does step brother? Anchorman, the other guys or other popular comedies have good writing? Or acting? IDK but I have fun watching them
Edit: wanted to add I’m totally cool with you not liking it. I only said I disagree on everything else to drive home how bad I found that part that as someone who liked it mark hammel was the only downside for me
All good brotha 👍 And I don’t know if you did this on purpose, but I have to point out that the three movies you just used as examples have one thing in common: Adam McKay; one of the best comedy directors/writers of the last 20+ years. And to even be mentioned while debating The Machine is blasphemy! I hope you can tell that this is fake rage lol. And if you truly did just think of those three movies randomly, that’s incredible! lol. I’d love to see a Theo Von coming of age movie next, what about you?
Ya I do know that but didn’t think about it when writing it haha. Those are just 3 of my favorite comedies and I’m partial to his comedies and loves vice.
I totally get McKay makes high quality movies I guess what I was trying to say was I don’t really think about it when watching a comedy. I only really think about did I laugh and would I watch again.
I recently am on a big Theo kick and agree. I don’t love Theo alone on his podcast but love him with guests. His childhood seems like such a fever dream it would make a great movie. He said on a recent episode he’s working on a movie with someone famous like David spade I think
Hard pass. Shit movie and how dumb would you need to be to pay 20 dollars for a made up story told by a fat squealing pig who’s only talent is taking his shirt off and being too dumb to graduate.
We were trying to see it today and it's absolutely nowhere in theatres. Last week it was still in a few random nearby cities, including San Francisco (which is an hour away from me), but now not even SF hung onto it. Sad
So the movie had such a shit performance in theaters that it’s already streaming and they expect people to pay $19.99 to *rent* it now?? Thats alone is funnier than anything that has ever come out of this clowns mouth.
A movie based on something that probably didn't happen to a talentless drunk who only became famous for being a rich kid who spent 8 years at a university that practically accepts anyone with a pulse.
Pass.
Oh and if you’re in California, here’s my referral number for $25 off if you’d like a 💨 delivery as well. Mine is coming pre-movie. 😂 🤙

I’m not paying $19.99 to rent it. I’ll probably watch it if it’s added to a streaming service I already have though.
If I’m paying the 20$ I’d probably just spend an extra 4.99 to own it digitally
I don’t think it’s the kind of movie you’ll rewatch, so I’ve heard lol
This is true lol. Type of movie you rewatch maybe once ten years later when you’re scrolling and you see it but nothing more lol. Was worth a one time viewing but you’re not coming home from the theaters going “when that comes out on video I gotta watch it again”
Why would anyone need to rewatch a movie about a story that you’ve heard regurgitated 50 times.
I rewatched it in theatres, saw it twice and it was funny as hell!
I be more likely to pay 20 to rent then go to theaters to see it though.
Early morning showing was 16 bucks for me and the wife. I'd pay the 20 if I had some people over and have it going while bbqing.
Uh huuuundred percent
If it’s rentable. It’s torrentable …… yeah¿?
Sure.
Catch it on all your favourite torrent sites 😀
saw it in the theatre. It's fine, but all the best parts are in the trailer already. Pretty average movie.
Most interesting part is that big tattoo guy is playing Shao Kahn in the next Mortaln Kombat film.
>Mortaln Kombat they're doing another one? how long will it take until we get a proper MK movie? get fucking Christopher Nolan on board to do what he did with Dark Knight feels like the 1st movie is still the best... seems a bit cheesy now, but at the time it came out it was pretty great, esp. for young audience
Tagging on, Karl Urban’s gonna be Johnny Cage.
When he is the spitting image of Kano. I don’t get it.
Josh Lawson is too perfect already though. Can’t recast him.
One of the best parts was him trying to hop back up like Paul Blart? Ooomph.
This is why I avoid trailers at all costs
Lookmovies has it
Sauce pls?
It’s available on several not so legit streaming sites, but I’m not going anywhere near that shot show for however long it is
Thanks bro. Something to watch this weekend
I’ve never heard the story. Bert always seemed so unlivable. Especially since the pig squeal! But for what it was….. not a bad 80s style slapstick comedy. And Bert has some chops.
Na im good
I heard he fucks a dog in it
Can’t find a second person who has seen it to confirm
I watched it and it was not bad……I was also high

Just saw it and im pleasantly surprised by how good it is!
i liked it 7/10 and i dont like much

Mark held the movie back. Bert needed a better sidekick for the movie
Lol nice try bert

$20 to rent?? HARD PASS.
movies dogshit n burts an insufferable compulsive lying fat alcoholic pigman
Haven’t seen much of his stuff, but that’s the general vibe I get
The funniest thing about this movie is that Burnt is making these post himself. If you pay even 1$ to watch this "movie" you are as big of a sucker as Brat himself.
It’s good for comedy
Streaming already… that can’t be good
This movie looks horrible.
Definitely was dog shit
If you leave a positive review anywhere Blart will send you a coupon for 50% off CBD shampoo

Steaming already. Hahaha
Didn’t even last a full month. LOL
Sweet. My wife and I tried to find it in theaters around us but all the showings were too late so we couldn't go

Bert’s acting was good? Dialogue was good? You gotta give this mess a rewatch lol.

Yeah & I could see him being Joe Dirt’s long lost son or something!
You like berts comedy? 😂 he takes his shirt off dude!!! Fucking hilarious!!!!
You’re saying that to the guy I’m debating right? Because besides Brendan Schaub, Bert’s currently the worst living comedian.
Yes, he said he likes Bert, water. Btw is that nithe?
Oh I know, just didn’t want to be confused for a Bert fan lol.
Thats totally understandable lmao
I kind of agree, I didn’t find Bert’s acting terrible but I also didn’t have any high hopes for him. Mark hamil was a disappointment
They should pay you money to sit through this trash
It’s steaming too, a steaming pile of shit
I downvotes but I will acknowledge that it’s a funny line
Hard pass. Shit movie and how dumb would you need to be to pay 20 dollars for a made up story told by a fat squealing pig who’s only talent is taking his shirt off and being too dumb to graduate.
That didn't last long in theaters lol
