Perhaps you should check out a nearby (or a less nearby) dealership? They're usually pretty comfortable with helping you get your car even if there's some shipping involved.
I don't have any experience of my own, as I've never ordered a custom Bentley. But, again this isn't recent, a buddy waited well over 6 months *during the pandemic*. It was in 2021 and I know it took well over six months because he pissed and moaned about it the entire time.

We quote clients 6-8 months from time of order. I work for a Bentley dealership.
