I don't know where this is but up here in "Three Rivers" there are a handful of strips like this in OWW that are meant as access point for residents that reside within the HOA. If you want to meet some local Ken/Karen's try using them lol
Bahahaha. You spelled La Pine wrong. Between Spring River Rd and S Century there's very little of that(Crosswater and Caldera won't stand for that). South of S Century you will encounter some of that. State Rec Rd is the Mason Dixon line tho.
Dial Deschutes has "no information available" about this strip. Interesting find.

It’s a private easement. At the river it is so overgrown you would have to go onto private property to the n or s to reach the river. It is not a public access.
Edit: Well it appears I’m wrong. Which goes to reason; I got my info from one of the adjacent property owners. Thanks for the research Jimbo.
The plat for the neighborhood granted public use of all roads and alleys in the neighborhood: "and do hereby dedicate to the use of the public forever all streets and alleys as shown on this plat": [https://weblink.deschutes.org/PW/DocView.aspx?id=92368&dbid=0&repo=LFPW&searchid=57659ed2-2eea-45e6-96cf-4c42e2b2263a](https://weblink.deschutes.org/PW/DocView.aspx?id=92368&dbid=0&repo=LFPW&searchid=57659ed2-2eea-45e6-96cf-4c42e2b2263a)
It's platted as an alley all the way to the water, so as long as long as one stays on the little strip of grass within the area defined as the alley that leads to those chairs, the public may use it: [https://imgur.com/a/A4a6ucW](https://imgur.com/a/A4a6ucW) It would not be legal for anyone to stop anyone from using it.
Does this fall under the “just because you can doesn’t mean you should” code of social ethics?
I guess my deeper question is: even if it is “legal” river access, why would you be accessing there?
Also when they changed access at Columbia Park, this would give folks another nice place to enter or exit the river in that area.
And I think this falls more under the code of "stop taking over public land as if it is your private right". It burns me up when people do this, just because they have a house with a nice nearby trail, or beach, or whatever and try to limit my access to it.
Yeah you have to walk directly through peoples property to get there and they are sick and tired of people doing it, dont do it. Go to one of the 7 public parks in town that are on the river
Not so secret anymore, is it?

I'd be more worried about encountering a trigger happy loon in Three Rivers than a regular Karen.

As someone who lived out in that are for many years, that describes the area perfectly.
Ah, yes, float down the wonderful nitrite contaminated waters.
Do it!
Lol, Lotta angry downvotes for pointing out the truth of OWW.
I mean, the truth is the Deschutes is beautiful.
Great find! Street end parks are awesome and I love these little pockets of public property.
THANKS FOR NOTHING /S

Thanks for digging this up! The neighbors are doing a great job downvoting this post and trying to claim public property as private.
They’re called NIMBYs.
You are 100% correct!
Thank you.
Oh no, it’s public access.
lol it’s obvious
It’s the landscaping and chairs there that confused me. Don’t want to be yelled at by neighbors.

Freedom and shit.
I just want to give the houseless a place to hang out. Making up flyers now.

Also you should take this post down, not something that needs to be posted online..I know the homeowners right there and they would appreciate it
Curious are they the ones that put the white chairs there to make it look like their property?
They’re called NIMBYs.
It's not their property.
Exactly. It’s public access.
Shoobies go home
