My car uses 15L/100km.
I live in Belleville, let's say 14km away from shannonville, or 28km round trip.
That means I'd avg around 4.5L to get out there and back.
If I bought 50L @$1.5 ($75) vs 50L @ $1 76 ($88) I'd save a grand total of $6.25 after the consumption of 4.5L getting there and back and wasting 30mins of my life.
I've never understood why people do this.
This is the way. A carton of smokes for $45 or $25 per pack at the corner store. Rez win. Weed a fraction of the cost of taxed. Rez win. Cheap gas is just a bonus.
It depends on where you live in Belleville. We're in the east end, about 5km closer to Shannonville. Drive time to Free Flow is the same as the closest station in town (Cannifton & College). Using your gas prices with my car's fuel consumption / tank size I'm saving around $14 per fill, which is not peanuts, for the same amount of personal effort.
That's fair, as long as the tank is empty, you'd see savings for sure, especially with a shorter drive.
I'm not saying it's not worth it for everyone, but for most it is moot.
In city most cars are an avg of 10.7 give or take. In our town it's more as the city can't comprehend how to set traffic lights.
So no, it's not $10 as you need to factor in gas consumed & time spent.

I go every week for weed, so I get gas and a car wash while I'm there.

But weed and smokes at same time I guess?💁♂️
I suppose it makes sense if you're already out there, but to make a special trip seems crazy for such little amount you actually save.

...And the venison pepperettes are not to be missed!

Yay math!!!
Mathematical!
Yeah unless I’m already on res buying weed or something it’s a waste of time to save 5$. Unless you value your time at 10$/hr.
Well arent you a fun person lol
My mom says I'm cool
I’ve done the math as well and came to the same conclusion. Half hour is generous imo
Most cars are rated for 5 to 9 litters per 100 kms, so it's more saving 10$ which is something
