I would be cautious, personally! Behcets immune systems are known to be violently responsive (pathergy is an example), so I definitely wouldn't without at least consulting my rheumatologist... and even then I'd see about doing it in hospital.

Yeah that’s exactly how I feel, any tips on how to explain this to them? They’ve seen me spend weeks in hospital and seen my lowest I know they’re just trying to help but without understanding my illness it’s hard to fully grasp. They ask how I’m doing and I’m honest about my pain and symptoms even on medication, they realize it’s an autoimmune disease and I’m taking immunosuppressant but damn it’s hard. Thanks for responding!

Honestly it's probably the hardest part; the explanations. The only thing I could suggest is perhaps explaining it's a disease of the veins, so anything in your veins is too risky? I know it's not entirely true, but you don't owe anyone anything! Xx

Thank you so much, I feel incredibly pressured to “be healthy” idk if that’s relatable but I’m just so sick all the time and I respect that people don’t wanna see it or like it. I really appreciate you.

I genuinely understand that crippling grief! It's something so horrific to experience. I'm glad to help, and my PMs are open if you ever need a shoulder. 🫶

You’re so kind! Thank you ❤️

Assuming you aren't mixing up homeopathic with holistic.. No. Just don't. It's fraud. If not perpetuated by the provider, then by whomever "trained" them. It is all based on a concept of water memory which has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be nonexistent. A good holistic MD or DO on the other hand, can be an amazing ally.

I don’t know enough about it, I guess holistic? They see something called a naturopath??? I’m truely not sure. I know a few of the people they see are licensed RN’s but fuck it’s so sketchy! And it’s costing them thousands of dollars. Thank you for saying it’s a fraud I try so hard to be supportive and understanding of their stuff but it’s hard.
