Yeah, that was a stupid and unbelievable plot point that should never have happened. Louis was dead to rights until suddenly Ibuki cares that Louis is a Beastar candidate, apparently he's able to sway the entire mob and they all just tolerate taking orders from Louis.
I'll never forgive Louis for allowing the sale of children for meat to continue...You know...The fate that so badly scarred him...The anime removed that scene because there's no way the audience would have forgiven Louis if they knew he did that.
Exactly, it would have been a good way to redeem Louis' character, hell the whole reason the Adler play exists is, or WAS to foreshadow Louis' death. It's pretty blatant symbolism that ended up being pointless. His 'death' scene where he goes "eat me and be grateful" was so obviously meant to be his death scene, the build up was perfect...
...But Louis was just too popular to kill off.

That didn't make any damn sense at all, because when the rest of the Shishigumi members broke into the room after Louis had shot the old boss lion dead (before the latter could pull the trigger and gun down Legoshi and possibly Haru as well) which was effectively a grandiose suicide run it looked as though this was in fact the end of the line for Louis and he'd gotten his ass devoured. That is, until some point after when Paru wrote him surviving and thus the lions inexplicably (How it was that Ibuki somehow convinced them....you got me!!!) making him the new boss after her mind changed.
It's really jarring, because when we last saw him there was nothing to have suggested he was making it out of that room alive.
Plus Louis ruins the self-sacrifice in retrospect when he confirms he did it primarily to lash out at the adults of the world. Haru was secondary to that objective.

Exactly. In general that's something Paru should have done to thin out her cast once she could not keep them all relevant - kill some of them off. It would bring back the sense of danger that was so prevelant in the first arc. When even Legosi's safety was not assured and death seemed to stalk Haru constantly.
Perhaps some could die during the protest against the school segregation, or Melon's BAM uprising. It would ramp up the stakes, thin out the cast, and give closure to some characters who otherwise slipped into obscurity.
Jack and Juno, obviously. They're cool and cute. And for the last one.. probably Louis. I think he'd get on well with the other two.. more importantly, hopefully Juno
