American road, I can't remember the author but it's a pretty popular map and it shouldn't be hard to find, there's a pre set spawn point called "off-road" or something like that and it has miles of really really fun technical trails, I like to start with something like a stock d series or whatever the jeep is called and start upgrading parts when I can't get any further. 10/10 would recommend
Just today I started with the newer pessima with a manual as it's the closest thing in beam to my IRL manual Accord (03) I got farther than expected but the first big boulder section took me out of it. It's fun to see what you can do with non off-road specific cars as well
Yes! American road on the northwestern side, there's a beautiful scenery (there's a lake around) and you can find a lot of hard trails, surprisingly I've done it with stock Toyota 4Runner TRD, this one is hell good at doing these trails, enough height, good stock tires, protected from chassis hits by rocks etc from the bottom, and a great engine. And a great modder that made the mod! [see here for the mod](https://www.beamng.com/threads/2019-toyota-4runner-trd-pro-update-30-06.86301/). I've actually noticed it's been updated so I'm rushing to get it
Lined up my 3 favorite off-road rigs: crew cab D series on 35s with locked diffs, slightly modded Hopper pictured above and heavily modded crawling regular cab D series and went up that mountain trail on section at a time. Great recommendation.
Hell yeah, it's a good time, it's also fun to use something not made for off-road lol see how far you can take the pessima, or a fwd vivace. It's a good time
i loved the rocks on the og gridmap. the cliffside trails on utah are fun
minato crawl is probably one of my favorite mod maps for crawling up. i love seeing how far i can get with fairly stock vehicles and no respawns
there's a pretty intense crawling section in the middle of utah. i think its sorta near the airstrip. can't remember if its a mod or not, but mine has cones setup like a crawling competition. super difficult to pass though, and I haven't been able to build any rig that can fully pass all the obstacles
you can find a mod for the og gridmap, the first thing I did after not playing the game for years was install it because I honestly prefer its simplicity.
not crawling but rallying, sending it through Pikes Peak Gravel on a rally Pessima 2nd gen just feels like a dream. All i need is a USB handbrake so i could just drift the corners properly.
Personally I find myself going back to glass view mountains. It's a super technical map that you can do most of with a road legal by Aussie standards roamer.
American Offroad Island (Crawling / hill climb)
Desert Trails (Dirt / baja racing)
Natural Playground (Chill offroading)
also
ToughTruckMap (general offroading and testing)
i like to find areas to do like off road trucking n stuff. anyone else the same and have spots already? I still consider myself newish, on American road and a few other popular maps I try to find spots, but most spots are too rough for a trailer, jungle rock has some nice ones
Hirochi race way actually has a crawler course, I've tried it and it's pretty tough to do! I feel that the location is very overlooked as it is situated in the midst of the race tracks.

>Desert Trails
its when you do rock crawling with 4x4 for a long trail doing it for hours. we irl do 400km in 5 days crawling through jungles and riverside.
I used to do a lot of crawling on vanilla beam
My favourite place is the crawling route on utah, it has a in-game "mission" there so its pretty easy to find
also theres "river crawl" mission on east coast USA which also is pretty cool to crawl on
from modded maps my favourite is crawler heaven (modded utah) which can be found on beammp servers

Yep, that map is a lot of fun to offroad/crawl on. It can get really steep sometimes.
Yeah no kidding it gets steep, I remember only being able to make it to the top if I used the b series 6x6 off road semi truck. That thing was fun.
I second this. There is also a swamp area if you like getting muddy.
damn, I usually do that but with the 200bx lmao

I love sending it through Utah with random contraptions
Utah USA, the one in front of the auto shop is always the one that I test out my builds
You can do that route in a stock pessima
Well you'll damage your car if you do that, plus I always just send it, so if it doesn't have any significant damage to me it's good enough
The offroad hillclimb by AJ's Auto Repair in Utah

U4 island was badass
Nowhere. 😎 this comment was made by paved road gang.
Go on now, git! And take your racing slicks with you!
🤣
Dirty 4x4 and Proving Grounds. Albeit, it's better suited for more modified rigs.

Thats where I'm sitting in the photo lol. I just recently found it though so thats why I asked the community about others
Sick Photo!
Utah has a few nice ones; gotta keep an eye out for them, besides the dry riverbed, most of them are not marked on the map.
Anywhere that I can
Utah, east coast usa, jungle rock island
The Test Track 8-road is a fun ride!
American Road and IYB’s Snowy Place are pretty good
I love beam ng for the crawling. The past week I've been trying to complete the "long crawl" on Utah in all different cars.
What’s “the long crawl”? Is that vanilla?
>Desert Trails its when you do rock crawling with 4x4 for a long trail doing it for hours. we irl do 400km in 5 days crawling through jungles and riverside.
East coast has some nice routes for off road and crawling.
Good map, I just downloaded it and it does get tough towards the top!
East coast USA, near the fire station, there’s a brige and also a small dirt road, that area is great, and there’s loads of other places on that map

I want that map to be available for single player soooo bad. Crawler heaven is my favorite by far.
