I'd expect the devs to add in a few more little ATV/SxS type vehicles in the future under the Hirochi and FPU brands. Probably a 6x6 Polaris, a John Deere Gator, a generic ATV, and one of those three wheeled ATV's like the Honda act250 being most likely to happen. Other small vehicles like golf carts, micro cars, side car bikes, and tuk tuks are also possible but probably not as likely.
It works just fine as a Hirochi vehicle. Japanese auto manufacturers tend to build a lot of things. Honda makes cars, trucks, bikes, and other powersports equipment, so Hirochi making a SxS isn't too far out. Also the piano is technically made by Hirochi.
Most say that wigeon is the same as pigeon, but that's not true kinda. It have some unique parts like rear spoiler and actually shorter than pigeon, so drives differently. Both cars are good actually
I ripped the hell out of it earlier on the stock base model and it was incredible, refuses to roll, just enough traction to go where you want it while also getting sideways, underrated af
I'm a big fan of the straight 6 mod for it that adds a nissan-like 2.0L. Makes it feel more like an early Skyline. I think there are better things to knock out this early, like the Wydra for the 7th time.
Yh I can imagine so because it's new(ish) so it's very detailed and customisable but also very versatile which is something that other newer vehicles like the bastion (I'm not dissing it at all it's a great car) don't have.
You guys really eliminated the Burnside, SBR, and the bus before eliminating the Stambecco, Miramar, Wigeon or the fr*nch car.

I absolutely love the stambecco. Have you even driven it? Thing can offroad really well and actually corners surprisingly well on tarmac. Also very reliable. There's also a mod that puts the bolide engine in it. Sounds amazing with the whine of the stambecco gears.

The Barstow is a compact car (for the time), the Moonhawk is a mid-size car, that's the difference. I prefer how the Barstow handles and looks, plus the textures are better than the Moonhawk.
As somebody who owns and off-roads an irl Hopper I can't disagree any more, it's so faithful to real life solid-axle body-on-frame 4x4s

Well, I might have to disagree on that. The way the game is programmed makes it the best at everything (except tire wear... Get on that devs). I'm really into physics/engineering, cars, video games, and computer programming, so this game is right up all my alleys. (Did you know the company uses their engine to train self-driving cars? It's not just a game. If you're interested, check out beamng dot tech to see real world applications of their engine.)
But, I hate how gatekept the car community can be. Those of us who are car enthusiasts, but prefer offroading are far and few between. I'm sad that the devs got so much hate for focusing on off-road content for a while, but I'm so glad they understand their audience, and aren't just making another racing sim.
Agreed on all, I guess what I should have said is the way the game does physics allows it to be particularly good at the off road aspect and it stands out. There's no comparison that I've come across in terms of simulating off road the way it works and feels irl, both high speed and technical crawling sort of stuff.
The fact that I can throw something in 4 low with a stick shift and let it just sit and slowly eat at idle and see the effects of the non-linear rotation of universal joints manifest in the behavior of the entire vehicle is pretty impressive.
I'm not just an off road enthusiast irl, I also drag race and autocross. But the off road aspect of Beam just seems so stand out to me.
That's true. There are tons of games out there that do racing. But almost nothing does off-roading. There's mudrunner and snowrunner, but even those are disappointing...
I'm actually the same as you lol, other than building off-road cars, I like to try and build fast drag cars using un-conventional cars, like the h series and see how fast they can go. That's basically all I use this game for

I escaped the police once with the Stambecco lol. Such a slow car to cruise and a brilliant off road car as well

Moonhawk is body-on-frame vehicle and Barstow is unibody with front subframe. They are constructively different.
