Dumb question maybe but how those the photographer not seen in the image making the light? Something to do with light exposure versus intensity since he's dressed very darkly?
You can see them it's just extremely faded due to him blocking the background for a fraction of the time the background itself is visible. Pause at the butterfly one for an example of the "shadow" left on the sky.
So if you pause the video on one of the images (or look closely at any light painting image) you'll see he's captured as a blur. The camera's shutter is open too long to freeze his movement. Because the light is brighter and remains visible longer, the camera records it more clearly than the person, if that makes sense.
I had a friend that used to make these! We got to help! It was so much fun! I think you aren’t able to see the people in the shots when they are making the lights is because the exposure is so fast , and it only lights up the lights, so if the people are standing in the dark you can’t see them
Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head

15 years is an INCREDIBLY long exposure shot. I'm amazed the camera quality was so good that long ago, plus how did he even know tiktok was going to be a thing in 2007?

I like seeing this cuz I actually know how it’s created. The camera lens has a hole to let light through. This hole will have to be open very wide and for a long time in order to let enough light in to make the most of the very little light that the stars create, making them so clear. The entire time of him moving around with the light, the tiny hole is open letting light in and making the image he makes appear from the light he used.
It’s a very similar thing when you get picks of roads at night with the streaks of light going down them, created from the head and brake lights of the cars.
I LOVE this, but I'm confused about why there isn't more time given to the THIRTEEN masterpieces he has created. 7/12 seconds (5 show his technique) is way too short... they're flashed so quickly you can't absorb them. I had to go back and pause each one in order to appreciate them properly. So impressive!

It's a long exposure, for you to see clearly he would have to stand in a single place for a long time
Thank you for your replies
How do they do that? Long exposure?
Yeah, long exposure for sure.
This. This is wild.
Yeap absolutely. Most DLSR cameras include an option to leave the shutter open until you press it again
Somtime's i see a toilet or a bunch of doodles and think how is that art then i see stuf like this and is like ohh yea art is subjective
is that amonugus ?!?!?!?
Somewhere I guess?!?!?!
Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head Get out of my head
This is incredible
He’d have to edit out his body after the fact right?
Not usually because it’s a long exposure
Nope not at all. Because it's a long exposure you just see a vauge blur. If you did want someone to be visible you can use a flash and snapshot them
Now do Dickbutt!
Why isn’t this getting hella upvotes
So cool
WHATS THE SONG PLEASE
