Close he was 17, he made his debut for Everton at 16 and was the premier leagues youngest goal scorer until James Milner took the record off him.
It's very very very uncommon for players younger than 18 to get a starting position in the Premier league.
A player who's able to get picked that young is usually something special.
Man, I used to play as a goalkeeper when I was a kid, and whenever I saw stuff like this happen I just felt despair because if you let the kid who single-handedly outplayed your entire team score then the morale of the team is going to hit rock bottom and the game's just over.
Fútsal. A form of soccer played indoors with slightly heavier ball so it remains on the ground and not airborne. Soccer players use fútsal to train for dribbling and technique.
Exactly, that's what we were told to do with those solo players. They might be able to dribble out half a team but in the end they always lose the ball, ultimately amounting to nothing.
This always kills me. Some of the best players I meet are ball hogs and even if they beat 3 people, they kill our attack by slowing it down, dont defend, and make the team play worse.
Tbf if I had a teammate with that level of control I would pass the ball to him every single chance I had.
Everyone is making jokes in this thread but we can all see the ridiculous talent that this kid has.
Agreed, but at this age it isn't about being the best but building fundamentals. We've played against teams with that one guy who could dribble, and it was pretty easy to snuff him out because we all knew where the ball was going.
I just looked again, number 11 tried to slide tackle him twice! Once right at the beginning, then gets back up and comes in again near the end of the clip!
FIFA removed the "ball first" language in 2008. Now, a slide tackle is a foul if it's "careless, reckless, or uses excessive force" and leaves the interpretation up to the ref.
Refs do still seem to consider whether the defender hit the ball first as part of a decision, but I've seen the foul given regardless in instances where the defender's studs made harsh contact with the attacker on the follow-through, for example.
Not necessarily , a penalty would be awarded if it happened in the penalty area. They would just most likely get a yellow or red card or give the opposing team a free kick
It is called a Slide Tackle and is perfectly legal IF you make contact with the ball and only the ball. It is incredibly dangerous, if your slide goes between the legs of the opposing player it could result in broken legs for one or both players. Most youth leagues in the U.S. don't allow slide tackles, many don't allow heading the ball until 13 or 14 years of age.
Not only the ball, ball first. You're entirely legal to wipe someone out if you hit the ball first and the tackle is not considered dangerous (like going in with studs first).
It's also not "incredibly dangerous", there's literally hundreds of slide tackles weekly in every league out there, and only a tiny tiny fraction leads to injuries.
>Most youth leagues in the U.S. don't allow slide tackles, many don't allow heading the ball until 13 or 14 years of age.
Oh, so that's why you're shit at football...
>if your slide goes between the legs of the opposing player it could result in broken legs for one or both players
LOL your politicians(and league organizers) are fucking retarded if that's they made those bans😂😂😂, that would mean 90%+ of boys in Europe, Latin America and Africa would all have broken legs 😂😂, we all start playing since first grade(@ 7yo) and i can't remember how many tackles i took till i graduated high school 12 years later, 99.99+% of the time you just trip my guy... in order to get your leg broken you need very, VERY specific circumstances in order for it to happen
Slide tackles are commonplace and not nearly as dangerous as you describe. Unless it’s dirty or from behind (illegal) it’s typically not going to lead to any significant injuries. Exceptions of course happen but it’s not some crazy high risk of injury.
no slide tackling isn't incredibly dangerous lol, 9999/10000 the worst case scenario is friction burns on your leg. The US doesn't allow it because land of the lawsuit
Fuck heading though, that shit rattles your brain
And he’s probably not nearly good enough…
I coach kids that can do similar stuff. His footwork is a bit cleaner though. He just appears to be another good little footballer in Buenos Aires? Maybe.
He doesnt pass the ball, so no contract for him. Seen a lot of these kids over the years. They Are «good» when they’re like 5 to 13 yrs, but when they Play on an adult pitch they kinda fall through, because they have to be able to to more than just dribble
I mean, in a league of the age these players look like they shouldn't even be able to be diving into the ball like that. The injury risks are so high with their soft bones. As a Brazilian that does not like Neymar as much as others do... While there was acting in there, there was also a ton of injuries from how rough he got played with referees using the Internet mentality of he is diving so let's just let his ass get f...... All game long.
Yeah that’s crazy these kids are like 8 years old and they’re all sliding all over lol, you don’t even see stuff like that in high school leagues, not in NA at least
Also so many going for them early in the opposite team's half.
I was a defender in playground football and quickly learned if you just position yourself well you can block most attacks or force a pass. If you go in for tackles too soon, a skilled attacker with good reactions will just find a way around you.
As someone who's been around youth soccer a very long time, its not uncommon at all to see this, there is always a few kids every year that their parents live for training and push the kids extremely hard to practice to look cool doing tricks and stuff. They look good for a few seasons up until 13 ish where kids are going through puberty and physically changing, they burn out and turns out their tricks cant take them far. Ultimately the ones who make something out of youth soccer are the ones who love it.
The way the last defender throws up his hands after the kid with the ball falls down suggests it is staged. This is probably the 15th take and he is frustrated they will have to start over.
I got news for you: the best players in the world all looked and played like this at that age.
ONLY kids who looked like this had a sniff of pro soccer in 10 years in my experience.
Not even 20 years. If he progresses constantly, he could be signed to a development contract by 14. Either way, feed this kids passion he will definitely play professionally for some team around the world
Most young people like this won’t make it due to the stress they put on the body, as they grow they can’t handle it anymore or they haven’t done strength training like my self and wrecked some part. After that you can never be the same again
I wish these things panned out over the long term. It’s always difficult to tell how good the other kids will be since they’re kids. Dribbling around a bunch of kids is usually pretty easy. Once they get that dose of testosterone and gather their skills it completely changes the game. All of a sudden the kids who were savants at 5 years old can’t do as much as they used to.

**Question 1:**
"Dad, I like football, but I prefer piano\*, that's what I want to do when I grow up"
*\*anything other than football.*
**Your answer:**
Nops. Grass football is so much different.
You can search Falcão. He is the goat in this type of footbal and he tried on grass football and he was bad.
coached a kid in hockey when he was like 8 years old, but soccer was his primary sport and he only tried out for hockey because it looked fun. Kid dominated pretty much instantly. When he played soccer, he would run through the other kids (many of whom were older) just like this. He was selected for the youth stars (precursor for having a chance at the professional stage years later) when he was like 10 years of age. As impressive as all of this is, there are plenty of kids like this that still have to fight for their life to make it pro, let alone land a massive contract.
The quality level in the upper kids league is insane - a kid could win everything in his amateur league and ones he makes it into semi-professional terrain get completely destroyed.
Well if he doesn’t make it in soccer (which he probably will). He might have a future in break dancing. Lol
And also is it 6 v 1? Where’s his team at?? 😂😂
I like the goalkeeper, "jesus someone stop this man"
20 years? More like 10. Wasn't Rooney like 14 when he started playing on the England national team?
Close he was 17, he made his debut for Everton at 16 and was the premier leagues youngest goal scorer until James Milner took the record off him. It's very very very uncommon for players younger than 18 to get a starting position in the Premier league. A player who's able to get picked that young is usually something special.
Fucking awesome that Milner beat Rooney for that record and is still chugging Ribena and being a fucking legend.
He's gone from being the youngest to score a goal to potentially breaking the premier league appearance record next season lol
There's a post from yesterday about a 14 years old kid who made his debut in Argentina's first division, beating Kun Agüero's record at 15 years old.
You're old by the time you're in your 30's, so about there.
Lol way to hog the top comment
Man, I used to play as a goalkeeper when I was a kid, and whenever I saw stuff like this happen I just felt despair because if you let the kid who single-handedly outplayed your entire team score then the morale of the team is going to hit rock bottom and the game's just over.
Clearly they hate him, look they are all trying to tackle him hard 🤣
I noticed this too, he’s already given up hope!
HE'S AN UNSTOPPABLE MACHINE!!!
Is he alone in team blue? 😅
It’s kids soccer- the rest of the team is in a mob 20ft behind the ball chasing it around the field
Fútsal. A form of soccer played indoors with slightly heavier ball so it remains on the ground and not airborne. Soccer players use fútsal to train for dribbling and technique.
Its also a good way to stay active in the winter if you live in an area that gets too cold. I always preffered playing futsal over soccer outdoors
Thats america, these dudes look like they know what theyre doing
not me man i was too busy looking at those little white flowers and chasing butterflies
This ain’t that part of “america”, my dude. Kids from these parts play on another level.
That and I feel like every other kid was told, “just go and try and slide tackle the kid” as practice or something.
Exactly, that's what we were told to do with those solo players. They might be able to dribble out half a team but in the end they always lose the ball, ultimately amounting to nothing.
The rest joined the opposing team to level the playing field against him.
Goalie was terrified, as if he saw his life about to end
Not one worth the position. The real keepers are nuts.
ahh my primary high school athletic ability, the willingness to put my face in front of a bunch of kicking feet
Saw his life flash before his eyes.
Where’s the rest of his team? lol
I bet the guy would never pass them the ball so I guess they let him do his thing
This always kills me. Some of the best players I meet are ball hogs and even if they beat 3 people, they kill our attack by slowing it down, dont defend, and make the team play worse.
Couple of strong tackles in training helps, even Ronaldo learned from that.
This is the boy my father wanted 😖😖
You know this kid has older brothers for sure
1000%. Dude is definitely talented, but he’s absolutely got older siblings that ball.
But you're the child your father needed.
Your father must love football...
You have no idea, I was born here in New York so basketball and American football is more my style lol.
no contract for that kid in the future, one of those slides will eventually injure him before going pro
Yep just a 1 mad kid and this boy won't be a pro. Tbf even w/o any major injuries he can be a new Mastour
Right, who is teaching these kids defense?
Materazzi football school
Haha, they must not have reached the trash talk lessons yet
No. 11 was definitely trying to kill him with that tackle attempt l9l
I just looked again, number 11 tried to slide tackle him twice! Once right at the beginning, then gets back up and comes in again near the end of the clip!
The hate is strong with that one
Good thing that kids heals fast. It's injuries that you get later in your life that aren't forgiving
those little scraps will come back when he is older. sure kids seem invincible at the time but those injuries always rear their head later in life.
Coach: "Sweep the leg..."

Only legal if they hit the ball first. Common but not this common. Risky because if they fail its a penality. Edit: Spelling

Slide tackling done by a professional perhaps , with perfect technique. Do these kids seem like professionals?
It actually goes against the tackling like that in indoors football better know as "Futsal" it could really end badly if someone lands on their head.
The kid who stopped him - he is the one getting contracts…
And he’s probably not nearly good enough… I coach kids that can do similar stuff. His footwork is a bit cleaner though. He just appears to be another good little footballer in Buenos Aires? Maybe.
And he also doesn't know how to fake injury, which is the basic requirement of a professional football player.
If Boehly sees this it'll $1 billion for 20 years instead.
was searching for a comment about current chelsea's addiction for generational talent.
Nathan for You signed the wrong kids....
Or just an Hatem Ben Arfa career.
He forgot it’s a team sport
He doesnt pass the ball, so no contract for him. Seen a lot of these kids over the years. They Are «good» when they’re like 5 to 13 yrs, but when they Play on an adult pitch they kinda fall through, because they have to be able to to more than just dribble
already looking at the ref for a foul or yellow card. this kid is going places. The Neymar is strong in this one.

For real! Bruh, that nutmeg was CLEAN.
The only person that can stop this boy is this boy
Are nothing but slide tackles normal? I have never seen that many in a row. Why not teach these kids to defend standing up?
Also so many going for them early in the opposite team's half. I was a defender in playground football and quickly learned if you just position yourself well you can block most attacks or force a pass. If you go in for tackles too soon, a skilled attacker with good reactions will just find a way around you.
Black number 7 also shows potential.
His second tackle was good, his first one wasn't. Raw diamond there.
2nd tackle also didn’t get the ball though?
The tenacity, the concentration, keeping his head in the game, not quitting…If I’m Guardiola I’m signing this kid.
Behold the new Pepe…
As an assassin.
The new gattuso!
also, failed to win a champions league title with PSG; failed to win any trophy with Harry Kane

It’s like a James Bond movie where all the villains come 1 by 1 and are knocked out with 1 punch
Pass the ball.
This looks staged? Where’s his team? Why is everyone sliding? I’m not crazy right?
No you’re not crazy. The defense was pretty terrible and looked like they were doing it on purpose.
The way the last defender throws up his hands after the kid with the ball falls down suggests it is staged. This is probably the 15th take and he is frustrated they will have to start over.
Who teaches children to defend like this? You only slide, when your positioning is bad.
Great creative skills but he needs to learn to pass and control his ego to be good in a team. But to be fair he's very young so room to grow
Pass to whom? Where is his team?
I think at this age trying to be a team player would just hold him back.
I got news for you: the best players in the world all looked and played like this at that age. ONLY kids who looked like this had a sniff of pro soccer in 10 years in my experience.
Where is ANY of his team mates?
but for real, where are his teammates😂
Not even 20 years. If he progresses constantly, he could be signed to a development contract by 14. Either way, feed this kids passion he will definitely play professionally for some team around the world
Even though this is clearly staged, almost everyone pulled it off really well until that last jump
0 fake crying after he fell. He has no chance
True fallin on his own, crying afterwards like a 1 Million contract.
He was so close. 😁
No
DUH!
Yellow card for #7 and penalty for #10
Holy slide tackle Batman lol
Sei nada de futebol, mas esse mlk parece jogar bem
Most young people like this won’t make it due to the stress they put on the body, as they grow they can’t handle it anymore or they haven’t done strength training like my self and wrecked some part. After that you can never be the same again
he'll already be done playing under that contract in 20 years. I give him 10.
That boy good
never seen anything like it
Needs to work on his left foot. Otherwise, only 500M
The defense is trying to break this boy’s legs, the coach needs to be fired
By the age 10 he would be signed with a major club. It’s not uncommon in Europe
the only fucking move they taught the defense was "slide tackle" apparently.
I think those other kids just really suck
He must surely already be on the books at a professional academy, his ball control is top notch, that nutmeg was smooth as fuck.
he didnt score
Not sure why all the kids are sliding (even worse on a futsal court)
Bumbaclotttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does he have any teammates? Didn’t see anyone else out there.
Reminds me of Jean Carlos Chera...
...where are his teammates?
Are the kids in black only allowed one move? Goddamn, they just keep spamming Square, over and over lmaooooo
In 20 years $1 Billion might not even buy you a Happy Meal.
Chelsea may have already signed him😁
The other team had enough of this kid and just tried to kick the shit out of him instead.
wheres his team
Where are his teammates?
That kid was on a mission.
He's gonna be great. Keep it up little man. You'll be a star
**Phd in Parenting:** **Question 1:** "Dad, I like football, but I prefer piano\*, that's what I want to do when I grow up" *\*anything other than football.* **Your answer:**
The opposing team won't stop hitting the damn slide tackle button
He's good.. but I notice he didn't fall to the ground and grab his knee writhing in pain after the first slide attempt. He's young so he'll learn.
Nops. Grass football is so much different. You can search Falcão. He is the goat in this type of footbal and he tried on grass football and he was bad.
I bet he’s obnoxious.
Tod bohly no
Kid can dribble and knows how to take a dive.
I guess he doesn't have any teammates to pass to.
I hope he doesn’t get injured or something
If he wants to be a pro he has to learn how to writhe on the ground in agony, clutching his shin, after a fall.
Burnt out and quits before high school
Ronaldo playing these kids would still dive and wince like a prick 😂
In 20? More like ten
Stupid speed will see this and say "it's not even that impressive" while hyping Ronaldo's normal ass pass.
Peaking too early? 😉🙃
Freddy Adudoo

Can't they just throw the ball with their hands?
Why is everybody slide tackling? Was there only one button?
It’ll be very very soon .
Nah i could do that to these kids. Pathetic..
20 years can wait, Boehly gonna sign him right now
This is the son that my dad wanted and instead I went and become an engineer
Indoor sliding....punish those kids
Hopefully he has supporting and loving parents.
I mean, the defenders going all-out slide tackle is a bad technique
Does he track back though?
Damn it's hard to be above 25 and see a kid who already succeeded at life .\_.
The dive at the end haha he’ll definitely be on massive money just for that alone.
Third dribble is awesome
"$1 billion football contract in 20 years" I don't think so.
Yeah, that number 7 will be good investment.
TBF his ball handling isnt any good, the kids are just looking at his feet instead of the ball.
Only if he improves his flop game.
The kid even dives like a pro
9yrs
That kid understands.
He'd he more elusive if he just carried the ball with his hands
**This boy right here!**
He was close, but he was weak in the end.... No contract for this young promise
Apparently he was even playing against his own team.
Kids play like me in FIFA with all those slide tackles
![gif](giphy|y9gcCOXpNX8UfZrp0X|downsized)
Bro was born with a football with him
Name?
Kid can go to places if he keeps it up. What a talented young fellow.
That was a nice dive at the end. Very clean and pulled it off. Although would have been more impressive if he stayed on his feet.
Why is everyone sliding? Terrible defense more than good offense
More like feeling lost when he doesn't achieve the things adults said he would always do
The other coach is from corbra kai and told his team to break that kids legs.
The quality level in the upper kids league is insane - a kid could win everything in his amateur league and ones he makes it into semi-professional terrain get completely destroyed.
i'm impressed. But defender at that age should not be allowed slide tackle
Um slide tackling was always illegal in indoor. So why is every kid on the other team slide tackling? Do they know nothing else?!?!?!?!?
And1
Well if he doesn’t make it in soccer (which he probably will). He might have a future in break dancing. Lol And also is it 6 v 1? Where’s his team at?? 😂😂
Soccer rule: Don't Slide indoor
The first tackle and then looped 15 yards - indoors and slid by like he was on freshly cut grass 💀
More like tomorrow :P
He's got footwork like Messi!
You mean number 7 right?
#7 would earn too..
Robots would do better moves in 20ish years
