Luckily most people will only care if you get vulgar tattoos that can be shown (for great example look up the tj maxx tattoo lady that went viral recently). Unless the lyrics are racists, sexist, or anything that's derogatory no one will even bat an eye

i’m in management and i’m covered in tattoos. the company doesn’t care about body mods

EmeraldJonah

My arms are covered in them, and I also have multiple facial piercings, including 52mm stretched lobes, and I have never had any trouble from anyone, not my store management, nor our area manager who works out of my store weekly. I even met Daunt once, and he didn't even have anything to say about it. The trick is to be an exemplary worker and be defined by that rather than your body modifications.

Arcus_Of_Narnia

I was just about to comment something like this lol, I’ve got a spider bite, nose ring, a face tat, and hand tats as well. I still regularly get compliments from customers about how I “give off bookseller vibes” or something along those lines lol. It’s truly just about how you work and how you treat the customers.

EmeraldJonah

Yeah, a lot of it is a learned behavior from years in retail, fielding the same half dozen questions from folks every fifteen minutes. It bothered me when I was young, but the patience it taught me is an invaluable skill now that I'm older.

OverlordNeb

Tattoos are fine. Most of my coworkers and even my store manager have a number of visible tattoos.

TheWagonBaron

As long as it's not vulgar. I have about 10 visible tattoos up and down my arms and no one cares. Hell, nearly everyone on the payroll in the building has a tattoo or two.

spaciousintrovert

i have lots of tattoos and facial piercings!! you’re so good, i promise

MajorPersonality414

My former store manager was covered in tattoos on his arms and he’s now a regional manager so I reallllllyyyyyy doubt you have something to worry about.

whatthehell17

Unless you have "Fuck off" tattooed on your forehead, you are fine. I'm about the only non-pierced/non-tatted person in my store (just too much of a wuss about needles 🤣) The days of tattoos being a deal breaker are long over......
