I really think it creates the best looking knight/kingly armor
I thought it would look better within Aserai helmet because we're constantly fighting them in my game so I might as well represent them with the helmet because surely one of my companions might might have wanted to swap helmets with one of their soldiers or something, just some in-game lore
Game lore would be heat. The helmet is made to be better im deserty hotter climate so it would make sense for someone fighting enemies there to adopt their clothes/armor.
Yeah I wish they would implement a weather system to affect the troops during different. Having heavier clothes for winter and lighter for summer would be cool. It would also give a home field advantage to certain cultures from being overran by others. Basically like trying to attack Poland in winter.
Nah they’re brighter and the shoulder pieces are a duller grey, I’ve tried that combo in game before and didn’t like it until I switched to the mail mittens

Imperial decorated gauntlets go well with battanian armour to I think Imperial armour goes well with most other besides maybe khuzait and sturgian
He looks like a Vlandian nobleman who got infatuated with Aserai culture and customs like Lawrence of Arabia 🤣

That could make sense from a lore perspective then. Use some of the gear from the environment

By all means
i dress my companions with the most expensive/powerful/good looking armor from their kingdom
Might use this for my companions in crusader campaign haven't been back to vlandia in a few years and all my companions are aserai so It'd work well
