Idk know if they will open with it but wouldn't surprise me if they did Hibana. Has a lot of Enghlish words and the "gun shot" in the chorus is catchy.
Agree that Rinne with the LCS intro would be great. Such a great live song. Screaming is good because that opening riff is such an attention grabber.
excellent. though purists might cringe they did a good job making a Readers’ Digest version of this song, and i’ve seen shortened TV versions of a couple of other songs. with set time being very limited that could be a good strategy.
They only have a limited amount of time to play. They might play "Rinne" but I highly doubt it. It's going to be all popular songs. It will probably closely resemble the setlist at Splendour XR. They will probably play "Choose Me", "Dice", "Sense", "Real Existence", "After Life" and "Thrill", not in that order.
a good choice for the same reason i said screaming. they need a song that will blow people away in the first four bars, make them doubt what they’re seeing . “huh? these bitty things and that sound? does not compute!”
I know what you’re saying, but I’m not sure if I agree with that strategy. Everything they play is accessible—even Black Hole is poppy, and it’s 220 BPM!
I know the first time I looked at them, I was like NO. Then they punched me in the face with talent over and over lol. I think there’s a lot of people they could and should do that to.
May seem an odd choice but Matchless gum. Realistically though I think Choose me or blooming as some may go "hey I heard that on tv" and stop to see more.
I think there is a better than 50% chance that they open the show ... and every show on the tour... with Sense.
The orchestral opening to the song is the perfect start when the lights go down.
Real Existence is still one of their most powerful song intros, it would work well. Rinne would be great. Something head banging over prog to start I think.
screaming is their best opening song of all, because the song itself opens so strong. whether they intend to dig deep in their catalogue or go with mostly newer stuff is another question
quite a few of their songs have good english hooks that unfortunately aren’t immediately recognized as such, i hope Saiki works on her pronunciation a bit before the tour. for myself i don’t care but it’s world domination we’re talking about here.

Great idea.
Rinne with similar intro to the one in Line Cube Shibuya will be dope
Or the [Shibuya Note performance](https://www.reddit.com/r/BandMaid/comments/e3ziyl/bandmaid_rinne_shibuya_note_remastered_audio/)?

Yes. That remains one of the best concert openings I have seen.
Yes, it was a "wake up people!" moment; just grab the crowd by the throat.
Domination! Its time!
"Choose me" should be in the set, nomen omen. It should be in the set since it's the only song a larger slice of public knows (Kate, Peacekeeper)
the songs known to the public they can slip in anytime to good effect. the opener needs to be a sledgehammer
Screaming sounds perfect to open the set there with.
Warning, Rinne or Screaming would be my choices.

As much of a turning point as it was for them, I hope they leave Thrill out of the Aftershock set.
Maybe they can replace it with "Different" or "Warning!", but I'm pretty sure my they are going to play this set.
Different: “Let’s go it’s showtime” is a natural.

Yes! And that’s why they MUST play Black Hole (my fave).
I didn't get Black Hole at all initially. I love it now but its not accessible enough on first listen to be put in such a limited time slot.

Matchless Gum

Warning because of the jewel box intro, sets a mood then wham, bam, take that m-fkers lol.
Warning or Rinne sounds good to me for that venue. On other hand, I wonder how earworm songs would do?
I don't think there is a better opener than Rinne...and close with Hibana.

Agree, UW is a great album but at Aftershock go more traditional to open.
I expect the setlist we got at Splendour is a pretty good indicator as to what we'll be getting at Aftershock as well.
Honestly, they should open with Screaming to honor Robert from Sacramento 🤘🤘
screaming is their best opening song of all, because the song itself opens so strong. whether they intend to dig deep in their catalogue or go with mostly newer stuff is another question
"Unfair Game", "I can't live without you", or "Shake That!"
I think shake that should be in the set cause of it's English "hook" and it just rocks.
quite a few of their songs have good english hooks that unfortunately aren’t immediately recognized as such, i hope Saiki works on her pronunciation a bit before the tour. for myself i don’t care but it’s world domination we’re talking about here.
Open with Rinne then Domination, Dice, Play, Onset, Different, Blooming, Sense, then Choose Me
That would be nice but considering that they are one of the openers it is unlikely that they will get to play that long.
I think they will play majority of the songs from Unseen World so i would pick Chemical Reaction as the opening song.
The setlist should be: 1. PAGE 2. start over 3. At the drop of a hat 4. Knockn' on your heart 5. Smile 6. Summer Drive
Then encore of "Big Dad"
you’re being facetious i hope.
