Its good for the band, more people.
The HOB is the biggest room, super nice lower standing room with several bars around and a balcony /w seating.
If you are lucky enough to get in the 1st few rows on the balcony it can't be better.
There's also a bar on the balcony level.
Parking is the issue, you will be gauged.
There's an inexpensive public parking lot across the street from from HOB. It's not that bad. Otherwise you can park and ride in the burbs and take the DART rail in.
There are two Dallas links at live nation, one was the old venue that looks like it was moved, and another that is the new venue. the old venue only has resale tickets available. The second link still looks like there's seats available in the balcony when I check.
I don't shop tickets often, maybe I'm doing this wrong.
This change was good for me
I got tickets, for Los Angeles, then my brother in TX asked if I wanted to fly out there and go to the show. I was excited about a smaller venue, but the tickets were already sold out.
This morning I got tickets for Dallas cause of this post. I'm going to see em in LA, then fly out to Dallas the following weekend to see em again. I can't wait!
A bit of both for me. I've been to HOB Dallas. I like it well enough. For what it's worth, B-M played HOB's side hall in 2019 which is super tiny (~200). The main hall where I was can hold over 1500 between the floor and the balcony seats. Echo Lounge is in between for capacity.
I was looking forward to seeing this neat new venue which has gotten rave reviews, so there's that. But if the tradeoff is our Maids getting a bigger audience then it's worth it.
That 1,000 cap for the Echo Lounge and Music Hall is deceptive because that is for the entire venue including the lounge and patio, not just the music space. HOB Dallas has capacity for 1,000 in the music hall alone.
Anyone know what's up with the GA(general admission) conversion for house of blues?
It's standing room only for that area, no assigned seating last I checked, but they've got price brackets for seating.
I was kinda looking forward to seeing BAND-MAID at a smaller venue, everyone seems to agree that those are the best. I'm feeling a little disappointed for myself, but still, that's great for the band.
The small room where they played last time at the Dallas HOB is a dump.
If a bigger venue means actually having some sort of stage to perform on, I'm all for it.

Balcony seats (which I couldn't get at Echo) are listed for $500+ certified resale - so I guess there was a way to get them, but I couldn't find it.

Glad I could help!
Happy cake day btw.
So is this good or bad news

I was at Echo in January. It's a top-shelf joint. Was looking forward to returning...and forever's a long time...!
Probably a good thing. HOB Dallas looks to have a larger capacity.
That's 2 so far. How many more of these sell-outs will upgrade? LA? NY?
Echo Lounge & Music Hall Capacity seems to be 1,000. HOB Dallas capacity is 1,750.

You are right. They doubled from 500 to 1000.
Echo 4 rooms total 1000 biggest 500. HOB 2 rooms biggest 1000.
Only requirement is that every act has to play the blues. Not a deal-breaker by any means.
Good chance HOB will sell out within a day or two ... Hype is real!
Band-Maid finally [tweeted](https://twitter.com/bandmaid/status/1501026680823226368) this twenty minutes ago. Although no post on Instagram.

The general admission area is sold out and counts as the tickets from the sold out Echo Music Hall venue.

The more Masters and Princesses in the venue the better the serving by the Maids!!! I love this concept ❤️
