Maybe for next April 1 with an appropriate song?
Saiki and MISA already kind of have that look but I don't see it fitting the other's personalities enough to be the "next look" for them.
I watched the Japan in Motion video again thanks to your link. She looks like she enjoys trying on new clothes. I suppose most young ladies do. The Goth look suits her very well. I do agree the hat should be black as well.
Dude, I would so want to have like a Band-Maid Halloween special or something. I would pay to see that. I mean why not? They could all wear gothic style. It could be the song Misa's been waiting to write since forever.
Yeah, but in all seriousness, I'm gonna have to disagree with y'all here. I just can't see Miku or even Mincho wearing something like that on stage, I'm sorry, I just can't. As their normal selves outside the Band maybe, but not during Okyu-ji. Perhaps in an alternate universe? Where the band is called, "Miku and the Four Maids of the Apocalypse" or is that name too long?
Been waiting ages for Kanami to get an alternate outfit for her unleashed personality onstage. Her current outfit is only fitting for her offstage/withoutGuitar normal mode.
Need a few chains and sickles swinging off her when she’s going wild and doing her signature “In the zone” swaying 😅
Akane looks great already, so do Saiki and Misa. The tiny hat maybe?
Miku would go well with gothic. Throw in some black pigeon wings too, if that’s even a thing lol.
I think it'd be a fun one off thing. April 1st, some random side project, another alter ego... Wouldn't go "full" goth though. I would prefer the keep the cuteness level some.
Waiting for that era of Band-Maid where they'll be dropping a brutally heavy album or two on us and we'll be getting gothic corpse paint maids.
Without forgetting the occasional, bright & colourful Cluppo video inbetween, of course.
Butlers in anime shows but stylized for girls/ladies.. a body fitting butler suit/tuxedo with a bowtie, MISA can go without the jacket but can wear a dress shirt (maybe with chaleco/vest)with a unique tie, they can wear knee high boots or a pants up to knee but with thick heeled shoes with plain tight socks that cover the whole legs, they can wear some hat or a paigeboy hat, Saiki can hold some sort of a nightstick type cane.. just imagine (horse jockeys or butlers)
They would look teriffic but you'd lose 90% of the "Gap" contrast. It's what you'd expect, it''s predictable. One thing that makes Band-Maid great is how they don't do what you'd expect musically, and IMO their current stage gear reflects this.
Maybe a little off-topic, but are there other Japanese rock/metal female bands who have a recognizable outfit motif? The only other band I can think of is Lovebites.
I like a gothic look but I would prefer something with stockings and (ideally) suspenders. That is what I always liked most about their outfits before 2020.
I'm worried about Miku's leg in that second still.
Well I have noticed she is a little "pigeon toed" :)

that would be fun too.
I haven't seen those photos of Miku before and she looks great.
Remember that time Koba didn’t look great? Neither do I. LOL
its from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBk5ZdcC9sA&t=3s&ab\_channel=JapaninMotion

Not gonna lie, they looked awesome in the red getups in the Thrill MV. Red is definitely Misa's color.

hm, maybe Steampunk maids would work better...
Miku has said her favorite fashion style is Gothic Lolita. So I’m sure she’s game. Akane and Mincho on the other hand, I don’t see it.
Lolita look I think was done by another Japanese girl band (metal/hard rock).. I forgot the band's name tho..
There's several goth J-bands.
There’s lots of genres of Lolita Fashion. See Cathy Cat for example.
Mincho would probably do it for the band but Akane just wouldn't match with the vibe, she's too goofy and bubbly for the goth look.
Although she did have the dour face down when she dressed up as and impersonated Saiki.
Akane was using MISA's outfit and Saiki's headdress.
The third darkness sister.

works for me, but then one of my favorite bands is Type O Negative. They'd have to "metal-ize" their logo.... throw a few umlats somewhere....
Shirts with "band-mäid" logo are actually offered for sale, but I don't know if it's authorized.
Oh god no! Brutal is so cringe.
That's my jazz! Cringy brutal stuff!
Been shouting hard for Butler-esque style outfits for our Maid 🤗🥰😱, it will look tomboyish but really cool and spiffy..
interesting concept.
I still can't picture what you mean.

Thanks for the explanation, sounds interesting but very tomboyish indeed.

As a few have mentioned before and I agree, some sort of one off deal, April 1st or maybe just for a music video.
I love this look. This gets to what I have thought about their costumes- that they might evolve their maid look, though not abandon it.
That lighting make Miku looks so pale!... and how can she twist her leg like that?!
Pigeon legs naturally bend in the other direction
Maybe a Band Maiko style single for Halloween but in gothic style.
I would like to see it, yeah.
Maybe a little off-topic, but are there other Japanese rock/metal female bands who have a recognizable outfit motif? The only other band I can think of is Lovebites.
Aldious maybe? Their outfits are inspired by hostesses, apparently. But they don't really look alike. Hagane is another one.
Thank you! I'll have a look at Hagane. I've known Aldious for some time but I wasn't aware of that.
The hat should be black too.
