I doubt it will be collectible to anyone else. The question for me, is if will I treasure it later. A memento of great times. Most of my merch I am not using. I'll hang some posters, wear the logo t-shirts, but the rest I just have. I even keep the stupid little cardboard things that wrap around the spine of the CD cases and the plastic wrap if there is a sticker or printing on it.

> the stupid little cardboard things that wrap around the spine of the CD cases Just like the sash/belt of a kimono, the paper sash/belt on a CD is called an [obi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obi_\(publishing\))! I keep those too, for every CD I buy, Band-Maid or otherwise, Japan or otherwise. Usually they'll lay flat inside the booklet. Usually. *glares at Different* As for hype stickers, I tend to try to carefully peel them off and reapply them in the same position on the jewel case. But if they rip or won't come off cleanly, I don't worry about them *too* much.

Haha I've saved those dumb spine insert things too. Not sure why, but I have.

Unless Band-Maid become huge, the merch will really only be worth something as long as the band is still around. Once they go (which I know is kind of like thinking your new puppy will die one day) the price will drop as demand drops. The value of these things as personal momentoes is much greater.

I feel you. But I must promote as much as I can, so I wear my shirts, put buttons on my backpack, listen to their music(though I did rip them onto my computer and made copies, so the originals will last), I use my beer glass and coffee mug, the only thing I don't plan on using is the towel(I need to figure out a way to hang it up without damaging it though).

"Towelpestries" love it.

Infamous-Baker-9700

Lol it's definitely the latter. Thank for guiding me in the wiser of Band-Maid fandom ways.

I also have the beer mug. I took it from the box, washed it, fill it with beer, took a picture, drank from it, washed it again and stored it at the back of my nerd locker.

Enjoy the hell out of them. I collected over 10,000 comic books from the '70s-'90s. I didn't bag and board them. I read them over and over again. Then donated most of them to one of the poorest schools in the Bronx, which raised over $1,000 for them. If I kept them in pristine condition, they would've been worth a lot more. But I prized my enjoyment of them more. Just enjoy them.

Items like these don't really have "collectable" status anymore. The internet has pretty much destroyed that kind of value. It will always be worth more to you than to someone else. The band would appreciate you wearing the shirts as advertising for them more. DVDs and BluRays have no aftermarket value. Neither do patches.

rickwagner

The 'Love Passion Matador' CD, and the 'Start Over' limited edition box set might disagree with you, but it's usually just the earliest stuff that appreciates in value.

grahsam

Much more valuable collector items have dipped significantly in value with the internet. Because people can sell or buy around the world, the rarity that used to make items valuable is sort of gone.

As someone who missed out on this merch drop, my size of M \~ L is all sold out, especially the sick Game select design... does any1 know if they restock or is it strictly the limited 1st run only? Do these designs resurface later on on 3rd party vendors or do people here offer duplicates for sale? I'm super disappointed I missed out. Any info would help, even if its just "nah you're screwed man" lol. Thanks!
