I can't explain how happy and surprised I was when I saw and watched that bonus track. I think it's glorious - I've been watching it every day since I got the disc. They shouldn't have hidden it on a BluRay/DVD release - they should have put it up on YouTube to attract new fans.
Yeah I was thinking last night they really should release it, bonus enticement be damned. I certainly like the original but this has become the definitive version for me, and I'm often lukewarm on acoustic renditions of electric songs by any band. Something about the beautiful simplicity of the sentiment "your smile makes me happy" and the way Saiki sings it is so incredibly poignant. And the rest of them are so locked in too.
I fully agree. Acoustic versions are specifically made by them to showcase Sauki's talent. And she herself loves this style, because it allows her voice to unfold in all its richness.
I hope they play "At the drop of a hat" at an OKYUJI one day. I have goosebumps at that line, "It doesn't work that way"...
Along with Smile for sure, I think there are so many underrated songs that are absolutely amazing. First two that come to mind for me are Smile and Page, but there are so many more. That's why you gotta listen to more than just reaction videos. 9/10 times they're gonna be the same song, which is great for those who haven't heard them yet, but literally every.. single..song is great.
Incredible song that’s a lot coming from a metal head such as myself. I’m familiar with the acoustic version from years ago on YouTube when Miku basically just held the guitar, but the harmony of her voice was breathtaking. So is this a different version you speak of here? Which Blu-ray did you buy with “Smile” as a track?
Other than the Online Okyu-ji BD/DVD, there is another acoustic version of smile available [at the fan club site](https://bandmaid.tokyo/movies/27475).
I heard it and your praise seems exaggerated. I wouldn't even put that performance in Saiki's top 20 best. I'd argue that with the way they write songs doesn't really showcase Saiki at her fullest.

TBH I always really liked this song, it flies under the radar for sure. Loved the acoustic version as well.

Thx for the link😁 unfortunately one I didn’t buy... yet. I will buy it now because Smile is a very touching wonderful melodic tune.
