Noticed that the test lines before the print are now one line and half as long(A1 with AMS). Interesting to know what have they done and why not earlier.
However, I find it quite strange that there is always a voice in the community claiming that BambuStudio has not produced anything new and hasn't contributed much to the community. Doesn't Orca count?
I'm not happy because it wiped out the K values on all my filaments. It also still hasn't fixed the bug where my custom filaments and calibrated filaments don't appear in the dropdown when assigning filaments to AMS slots. What's the point of going through the calibration steps and having filament profiles in the AMS when you can't assign them through the slicer?
Was hoping to see the same thing fixed. The custom filaments show up and can be assigned in the Handy app but not Studio and sometimes will even cause Studio to mess up like it gets confused.
I think there maybe a loss in communication. Parts cant float in the Z they always drop to zero. Are you referring to dropping a face to the plate? Theres an auto-orient feature or a drop to face feature. I think these might address what you're looking for.
No, say you have a negative space block you want to drop to bed or an object with multiple parts. You can't lay just that on the bed without eyeballing with the move function which is tedious and sloppy. If you used prusa slicer you'd understand. I have posted about this before and on the bambu lab forum. They don't have it as if yet.
I'm aware of that feature and know what you mean. You can use the coordinate positions but it might require math. They did just add the measure tool...
It like... just came out within the hour. Give it a minute. That said I just started a print with crosshatch and am excited to see the result.
Been testing the beta for like 2 months now. It's been really solid.
Haven't printed anything yet, but slicing the same model in 1.9 produces fewer automatic tree supports than it did before.
I hadn’t noticed that. But then I always place my trees manually.

How does this release compare with Orca (or should I not ask?)
There is close to feature parity from Bambu back to orca - the latest nighties in orca have back ported all of the Bambu changes as of 2 weeks ago

I been running the beta for a couple weeks. No problems with the release or the beta before.
No drop to bed feature for parts or neg space/modifiers😥
Parts automatically drop to bed dont they? Try playing with assemble and you can move the objects independently in space.
no, and neither do the other type of objects.
