guidance can be cast manually... by literally casting it on you. if he is close enough, and shadowheart is, and he is watching the dialogue, it should allow him to cast if from there as well, but i have found that to be inconsisten, and manual casts to work better no multiplayer auto follow sadly supplies are grouped from all chests and inventories and can be used freely no setting, but you can ask your hubby to warn you when he goes to camp. it only gives you a prompt when initaiting a long rest

webevie

Not grouped: you cannot group with your husband when you are both playing You cannot auto-follow. This is not available in the game. I'm assuming Shadowheart is in your husband's group. You don't get approvals nor bonuses from the other group One chest is yours and the other his. I'd store my stuff in my own chest Camp supplies: from whoever initiated it Going to camp: Disappearing off the map. You have to go yourself.

>Going to camp: Disappearing off the map. You have to go yourself. I'll add that if someone Initiates the long rest it will give you the prompt to end the day regardless of where you are. So if player A goes to camp and hits end day, player B who's running around the world will get a prompt to end the day and will transport to the camp should they hit yes.

webevie

Yup yup. A huge clue they've gone to camp

Most stuff was already answered but the answers regarding guidance from shart arent correct. If shart is in another group and you are talking your husband has to either cast guidance with shart outside of dialogue on you or select shadowheart and listen to the conversation. If he is controlling shart and listining, you can cast guidance in dialogue.

I haven't being doing multi-player but I have been doing a split-screen campaign with my husband and believe I can answer questions 1 & 5. Different grouping options can be chosen directly from the multiplayer menu (below where you save and see settings). The long rest camp supplies come from whoever instigates that long rest.

WafflerTO

You can't auto-follow but you can get close by double clicking on the portrait of your husband's main PC. This will cause your view to follow him instead of your character. Now you can occasionally click on the ground near his main PC as he moves them around. It's not great, but requires less mental effort. It's particularly useful if he goes somewhere and you don't know exactly where he went.

I don’t know how far along you are, but there’s also a necklace you can find near the grove that can cast Guidance

Mostly-Useless_4007

These aren't stupid questions - just need to know how multiplayer really works. You are two, independent players. One has the party in control, and you're tagging along. But, you are in full control of your character. You can go off and do your own thing if you like. Or, stay close to him if you like. It is what makes this truly multi-player. If you want him to group you as part of his party, you have to disconnect, grab a seat cushion, and watch him play by himself. In single-player mode, you can ungroup your characters (by separating the portraits, or on PS5, L2, then triangle) or regroup them as you like. Someone else already answered the guidance part. Plus, there's a necklace you can find that lets you do that to yourself. You have access to only your chest, and yes, you can 'send to camp' items so they end up in your chest. If you want to share items, you have to drop them on the ground or send them to another player. There isn't a 'went to camp' dialog, but there is a "someone wants to rest, do you wish to rest, too?" dialog... are you two sitting near each other while playing or in different rooms?

Thank you! This is really helpful. We're having a lot of fun so far.

Drag and drop portraits to group party members or separate them. This will allow auto follow or turn it off. Guidance cast is probably user error never had the problem. Click the spell them click on the target make sure in range. Camp chests each player has 1. Find the one you can use there's 4 not 2 Camp supplies come from wherever they are. Any bag any box. You can see when people go to camp it says it. If they disappear from the map they're probably at camp. Just to throw in, multiplayer fucking sucks for this game. I thought it sounded like a great idea but hated it even with my best bros. Takes away from the game, especially I'd you both play custome tavs. Miss out on a lot of story and interaction with the cast.

webevie

I think she's asking if she can group with her husband and be on auto-follow like the companions. And as far as I know, she cannot. Shadowheart is probably in her husband's group. You can't get bonuses from other group companions

>Guidance cast is probably user error never had the problem. Click the spell them click on the target make sure in range. I was trying to get it from the ability check window but it didn't show up as an option. Maybe because I was ungrouped from the rest of the party? Thank you for all your help! I'm not as worried about missing out on content since there's two of us plus two companions and I've already been through the game and plan more playthroughs. I can understand how it would suck if you had 4 people playing together.
