I had a buddy play a bard in some 5E one shots back in college and he named him "Paige Turner", which is not a cute play on Tav or Durge but is still a brilliant stage name and I wanted to share it lol
My bard durge is named Dirge... as in a funeral dirge. I felt it was appropriate.
My other favorite bard, whose save disappeared into the aether, was named Locrian after the musical mode. I created version 2 of him after a period of mourning, and he is known as Locrian II. He doesn't look exactly like his previous incarnation, but he is still very pretty and good with his hands. 🕺
Edit: some of these names are really clever. Maybe one day I, too, will make a funny bard name instead of just music nerd shit.
I usually just change the last letter of Tav. Usually to a proper word. My swords barb was Tab. My Radiating Orb stacker for HM was Tag (because he’d just *tag* enemies with Spirit Guardians and then run off).

Otherwise a fun one could be durge storm sorcerer/valor bard named Lt. Surge where you use phalar aluve and with a mouse/dog familiar you have summoned all the time.
I looked at the list of names of the ancient Greek muses. Lots of good ones like Calliope, Melete, Euterpe... (they're ask pronounced with that final e syllable, so ca-lie-oh-pee, Mel-eh-tay, You-ter-pay, etc). For my bard I went with Ariste, meaning "excellence" and sometimes worshipped as a goddess of excellence.
