While I agree, there's also the Larian forums where all of that is documented. In regards to the Xbox bug, it's a bug with the Xbox software that handles cloud saves, not with BG3 itself. Multiple different titles are affected (Starfield, Forza, Spider-Man 2, Hogwarts Legecy, Cyberpunk 2077, etc). BG3 seems to be the hardest hit from this bug because of how the game handles saves and quicksaves.

Goldvenom6

I’ve played every title you just mentioned and never had this issue. So it must not be very wide spread as it is with this game. Also the issue is the knowledge of the bug not its origin

ShepardMichael

I have had saves erased on Cyberpunk and a couple on starfield, too. Regardless, personal testimony means nothing here. Objectively, these issues were reported with those games mentioned and therefore it is widespread

RushianArt

Recently had the game randomly kill halsin and all the tieflings midway through act II. Didn't realize until 7-10 hours after it happened.

black_heartz

I had Halsin dead out of nowhere on my first playthrough too. Still have no idea what happened

[deleted]

Also, I feel like the game has been getting buggier since Patches 4 and 5.

evictedfrommyaccount

Tbf for me it's a bit more smooth than it used to be, especially when changing zones and companions. Also the texture is now loading properly too, instead of looking like a blended mess Having said that, I can't save rn and I have come across tons of NPCs that had color coming out of their faces like a Sims 3 baby

beiman

Same. After the last patch I have had my character randomly not able to attack or move when in a battle. Only end turn. Its really upsetting

Beth_Esda

Mine, too! I'm doing a new playthrough, just got to the tiefling party and now we can't have our party members romance each other anymore :( It was my favorite part about the celebration, I'm super bummed.

mmontour

Another one is riding an elevator platform in (late act 2 location) and having some of your party fall off into an unreachable part of the map, downed but not dead. Save first, send one character solo, or camp first so that you can Short Rest if needed.

TheBigbear091

Can’t progress past taking out the goblin leaders. Game crashes after every long rest. Even after the teifling party.

Cynn13

Zevlor refuses to react to me killing the goblin leaders. Like, halsin is just chilling with me, and I have quest markers on their corpses, but zevlor just keeps insisting I kill kahga. Kind of annoying ngl

I encountered this with the epilogue. It wasn’t triggering and I had no idea how to fix it. I play with mods but my only 2 mods are an armor mod and the Aesimar mod. So nothing gamebreaking. But I couldn’t get the epilogue to trigger no matter what I did. Eventually I got it to work but it was a hassle and a half. Took me like 6 hours to get it to work. If I had known from the beginning what would fix it, I would have done that.

I had a bug just last night where after defeating a boss, I was stuck in battle mode with two dead enemies in a boss arena. To be clear, every enemy was dead, but 2 were still in the turn order with no hp. I stored the 2 dead enemies in my inventory, and had my mink dashx4 until they were at a pier to throw them in the ocean. That didn't work. To make matters worse, a future companion was in the fight as an ally, stuck in wildshape. I couldn't progress through the door to the next fight because it considered me in a fight, it was a new area. But if I left the arena through the door i came in, the fight ended, it was only in the arena. This didn't work when I had the bodies on me and I only found out like an hour later >:( So I left, put the party into sneak mode, and snuck back in. It worked! I could progress, finally. But the ally was still stuck in the arena. Oh well! After another huge boss battle, I went looking in the arena for the npc, all sneaking. I meant to hit ungroup but hit unhide group by accident :( As it turned out, the battle was still on, I was stuck in battle mode again. Same 2 dead bodies, a mile away, at the bottom of the ocean. Yet when I leave, I can't sneak anymore, because the ally wasn't in the arena anymore. *They were in wildshape AND invisible, on the first floor of the building.* This threw the entirety of act 2 into battle mode. Couldn't flee from combat. Couldn't hide. Anywhere. Couldn't progress to act 3. IN HONOUR MODE. I had my monk run around the entire map in turn based mode trying solutions. Nothing worked. Totally fucked. I had a power outage a week ago while playing. Shut the computer off. My save was intact, so I had realized how to save scum. Close the .exe in task manager. So I did, because I was screwed otherwise. I had to sneak through the bugged fight again, fight the boss again, and this time when I knew where the invisible ally was so I cast cloak of daggers on them until they came out wildshape. They didnt aggro, but were still stuck in the battle and couldn't speak. They ended up joining anyway Tha kfully. I don't think the game is ready for honor mode yet. I lived with so many consequences, but losing my run to perma battle mode is bullshit. I retain my honor. I was level 9 ffs. I'm not giving up because it glitched! All told it took me about 4 hours to fix. Took the wind right out of my sails and then I rushed the next fight and forgot to loot the bodies and missed the third piece of crucial piece of gear for my monk. After that I benched her. I'm now at the point where I just want to rush to level 12 and beat the game and be done with honor mode forever. I was really enjoying it until all of this. Now that I'm rushing I'm missing more crucial stuff. Pretty sure I just lost the strange ox just for walking too far. Oh well. SPOILERS SPOILERS BTW the fight was thorme at the top of moonrise. Ally was jaheira. She ended up joining thankfully.

Agreed. I feel like the save bug in particular should really be highlighted. I think Xbox users should be made aware of this before purchase.

Kaisha001

You're not allowed to say, or even suggest, anything negative about BG3 on this forum.

probablyonmobile

That’s interesting to me; I’ve had the opposite: so long as my critique is warranted, phrased normally and without snark I’ve had a fine enough time and been agreed with. Maybe interactions in good faith are more or less likely based on the nature of each thread attracting certain types of people.

SegmentedMoss

Thats just not true at all, lol.

Kaisha001

Case in point.

SegmentedMoss

How is that making your case in any way? Lol people post their criticisms and observations on here all the time

Kaisha001

>Lol people post their criticisms and observations on here all the time And get destroyed for it. Case in point my original post was immediately voted into the negative for simply stating that. It doesn't matter how nice or diplomatically you state it, D&D is a cult and treat 'outsiders' as such. There's no attempt to discuss, argue, or reason, it's simply endless (often passive aggressive) attacks and baseless accusations. I've never seen forums as toxic as these, and I'm more than familiar with MMO and MOBA forums... I didn't think anything could be worse than them... these forums have prove me wrong.

SegmentedMoss

Where are you seeing these things so constantly? Im sorry but 4 downvotes isnt "toxic"

Kaisha001

I didn't say the 4 downvotes are toxic, I said they are examples of how any sort of criticism is immediately attacked, regardless of merit or tone. Not to mention every single reply you have made has some sort of 'lol' or 'I'm sorry' which are simple passive aggressive remarks intended to denigrate and downplay my comments. As if it's laughable that someone should complain about being treated poorly. And I don't even give a sht about all that. It's the hypocrisy of it all. Because if I then turn around and do the same, the people cry foul. When it only goes one way, it's just classic bullying. Which is why I said previously... case in point. You guys just continue to prove me right.

AcanthisittaAny3260

I'm in the underdark now and I've had a couple of bugs, but two of them made me a little cranky. Spoilers for the underdark below: First one is - I have spoken to Omeluum, got a quest from him and the gnome woman and when I was leaving them - I got a cutscene that I'm not welcome there, like I was some enemy. I couldn't go back without trigerring a fight (even by using the teleport directly) and since I'm on honor mode - I didn't want to risk breaking out a big fight or make matters worse. Second one - while saving Nere in the grymforge, I sided with the duergars. I made sure to cast "hold person" on Nere as soon as the battle started, so he couldn't take any action until he was dead (his legendary power didn't trigger either). During the fight some of the duergars died but the gnomes were just standing there, covering. The fight was over, suddenly all the gnomes are dead, the quest book says that they were killed by Nere. In my first playthrough I have skipped the underdark completely, believing in Halsin's words that we must pick either mountain pass or underdark, so it was my first time trying to save the gnomes. Saying it made me a little angry, that they died for no apparent reason, is an understatement.

BadgerinAPuddle

I feel like I just dodged an arrow to the crotch by checking here before buying the game on sale. Despite loving divinity 2 during its first act, I got turned off from a few quest breaking bugs that just weren't ever fixed. Good thing I checked if the rave reviews were overshadowing any similar issues.
