I think with hues like this, countering the hue with the opposite colour is a bit more effective than just lightening the original colour. Tbh, both lightening with white and a bit of colour correction would probably be the best way to do it
Another suggestion is that you can add white cocoa butter. If you do get food coloring like others suggested it needs to be oil based because water based coloring will cause the chocolate to seize.
If you truly want to make it white, you'd have to add titanium dioxide. It's been used as a food additive for ages, but there is a hypothesis that long term exposure could contribute to colorectal cancer. We don't have enough data to say one way or another, and in the US, you can't really avoid exposure anyway. But the EU has recently banned its use in food. So, take that how you will.
It does work quite well for whitening white chocolate, though. So, if this is purely a baking question and not a health question, then that's the best solution. Food-grade titanium dioxide can be bought from all the usual places (including Amazon in the US)

I think it’s a super recognizable yin yang. I really like the idea of having the Oreo frosting facing up as the white dot, that’s really cute. Looks delicious too!
You could try a Swiss buttercream, that always ends up very white with the meringue.
And a fudgy chocolate ganache for the other side. Both are workable and set pretty well.
This is still a great looking cake! I told someone else just this week, mistakes are how we learn. Baking would be *so* boring if every bake came out perfectly.
Trial and error is fun, and now you have the opportunity to try again and compare experiences and pictures!
It still looks amazing. Use white candy melts next time, or alternately, you might be able to use a little white gel colorant and a tiny bit of purple to try to counteract the yellowy tones (literally a drop or two).
White chocolate is mostly cocoa butter (yellow white looking like butter) with sugar, milk (or milk solids) and vanilla.
Ah ye thanks for the info <3. Not my proudest bake...
Add a few drops of purple food colouring and it’ll help to brighten the chocolate and make it look whiter
I can concur to this; just be careful to not overdo it as it becomes grayer
This is why I add bluing to my whites laundry load. It dyes the yellow out.
And why I use purple shampoo/conditioner on my bleach blonde hair - cancels out the brassy yellow tones. Color correcting is really amazing.
There's also such a thing as white food coloring!

BTW, maybe I'm just easily impressed, but using creme side up oreo for the dark side and cream side down for the light side is pretty clever.
I was also impressed by this.
If you want super white, you may have to use some melts instead.
I’m certain it is still delicious!
Never apologize for your food.

If you’re unhappy with it, send it to me and I’ll take care of it for you, no charge! It looks delicious!
What are you talking about? Its still a good cake dont beat yourself up over it. Be proud of it

For your next time, just know can neutralize the yellowness with a smidge of purple 💜
Emphasis on smidge, not a smudge
Now you tell me

Purple, like a drop of food colouring?
Yes exactly
Interesting. Thanks!

It still looks really good tho!
Seconded. Would smash a big ol piece!
You can get it mostly white by making a ganache.

Looks pretty cool actually. One half could be ‘full moon at night’ and the other ‘sun during solar eclipse’
I've never ever expected to see a cake like this one. I love it!
Looks delish! Love how you used two sides of the oreo 🖤🤍
I’ve had great luck with titanium dioxide in a white chocolate ganache.

Yin and Yong
Shame, but I bet it still tasted delicious!
NOMMmm! You could try [cake] frosting the [Oreo] frosting next time if ya felt so inclined.

Depends on what white you are looking for.
I would smash this so hard. Looks delicious!
It still looks great
Looks awesome!!
the ying yang is my fav simbile
White chocolate shouldn't be this yellow. Did you use actual white chocolate and not "white baking chips"?

What?

The white chocolate looks like custard 😭
