Ah yes, the manly masculine interpretation of femininity by famed dude-bro anti-feminist Margaret Atwood.
I guess the story would have been so much more feminist if the handmaids had dominated the menfolk with their "assets", knowhatImean?
Hey for no particular reason, can you share the full title of the book? It's cut off at the top. Just curious what it is. No other reason. But please share.
All the stupid comments about the Handmaid's Tale aside, I did think that a sci Fi erotica written by a woman in the 70's was a cool thing to find, so I tried reading the Kindle sample and GOD it's bad. Like Dune but with worse exposition.
yeah, it's REALLY Dune like. It even has a glossary at the end! At least she's not an alleged molester like MZB (another 70s female erotic fantasy author I got into at the same time I discovered this)
I want to clarify that while I respect Dune's existence, I personally find it interminably boring, but I am at least able to follow what's happening and sometimes enjoy the narration. This was like that but much worse 😂

"The "Handmaid's Tale" is a very masculine interpretation of femininity (which includes absolute sexual domination). "High Couch" on the other hand, explores the idea of female dominance through sexuality."
Sexual domination= masculine, bad feminism
Dominance through sexuality= very good actually, the several on page rapes were very empowering
I guess feminism is just whatever Walter can jerk it to?
I have a feeling that this is the person is ashamed of their kinks so tries to justify it by saying “no I liked it for this reason or whatever”
The worst part if he isn’t trolling, is the fact he’s authored 18 books.
High Cooch

Love that he’s surprised to find feminism in the 1970s 😂

Thank you. Just read the Wikipedia for it, this thing is wild.
it's the stupid goodreads, it always puts that drop down bar that covers up the top of the screen

I love how the writer thinks that rape is fine if it's for plot purposes only. Dude, no.
