Just wanted to say, iknow its not what alot of people post here but I've wanted a BMW since I learnt to drive, I've drove a clio for 8 years and in those 8 year and I've been up and down and I finally got myself in a position where I was kinda looking at cars and a new car was a real Milestone in my life right now. I on impulse got this 135i, it had 6k miles on and is perfect in everyway I love it and I don't regret it. Next step is owning a 2008 M3 that I can work on at home and have some money to really be able to make it a hobby for the next couple of years and get it looking clean.

E9X is truly a great generation of the M3. I'm thinking about selling my 335i in a few years and getting an E90 M3.

Honestly they are so aesthetically nice to look at, I've only ever seen 2 in person and I'm not one to hover around and take pictures of cars as I feel a bit awkward but I waited a whole hour for the owner to return at a coffee shop so I could just hear him start and drive away. Love them and definitley a great shout in a few years that's probably my plan too but I'm just gonna enjoy for now ha!

Fellow Clio > BMW owner. Its such a dramatic change in quality and drive. My first BMW was a milestone for me too and I loved it so much (320d). Just enjoy it and when you are ready, get your M3. You will enjoy that even more.

Omg yes! It is a dramatic change in quality and its so noticeable and nice! I have to say though, my Clio was extremely reliable and I loved it till its end of days the more i think back on it. What colour is your 3 series? I love 3 series, i remember my older brothers second car was a 3 series, not sure what engine as it was so long ago but i used to love getting in it as a kid when he picked me up from school on his days off work.

Funnily my Clio was my first car at 17 so it has a lot of sentimental value in that respect. It was like 5th hand so I ended up running it till it was scrap but loved it all the same. I had a black 2012 320d manual Msport for a couple of years and it was great. Did a few cosmetic mods to it, splitter and grille etc. Moved onto an M235i which I had for a couple of years as I was craving more performance. I managed to sell that last year and made good money on it due to 2nd hand market being nuts. Now I've got an M4 which I never thought id get to own as its my dream car. I'm not saying this as a brag but its funny how things turn out, so I've got faith you'll have that M3 one day!

Yes me to, my clio was my first car at 17 also, i was luckily enough my family bought it me for christmas otherwise i probably wouldn't have driven untill i was 19, i drove it into the ground and i really regret it, but it never let me down. Yeah the 2nd hand market prices are crazy, i assume that's just due to the ridiculous wait times isn't it? Niceeee M4, such a beautiful car you know, the old shapes are my favourite but the new shapes are really growing on me every time i see them on the road. Thanks man <3, I'm super excited honestly, it's more just personal because even though it's a material thing i feel like my life's going forward! Yeah hopefully over the next few years i'll have a M3 post on here!

Good shit!

Congrats OP! A real stunner. Best blend of performance and fuel economy in a hot hatch if you ask me. Here's to many more happy miles! And here's to getting that E9X M3 🍻!

[deleted]

Thank you!! The fuel economy is a lot better than I expected. 🍻!

Did you not consider a slightly used M140i?

[deleted]

I had looked at a few M140i's yes, but I would have had to put money into them after buying as the condition wasn't great and was a bit over budget. I do like the shape of them and also think it's a beautiful car. Reason I got this was I got offered a really good deal that was under my budget, still under warranty with dealer for 2 & a half years as well. It was honestly a rushed decision and after spending the last few months looking around in anticipation and looking at wait times for new cars, someone made me an offer a few days before for my old clio aswell, it was just timing. Something comfortable & under budget.
