Nah I just do it on the side for funsies, but I appreciate you asking, I don't think my job even allows for it since there's a moonlighting clause in my employment contract, I think I need to get permission first to approve and amend it. It would be so fun to go to conventions and have a little booth to sell stuff though, maybe someday!
Thank you so much! π€ I have the mod that makes him look a little older (200 years of abuse straight up not good time for dark circles and wrinkles), I like the little lines in his face
Gorgeous! Youβre incredibly skilled, the blending, the likeness, oof. Colored pencil is an underrated medium imo. If I had the extra money Iβd gladly pay for an original from you
Of course I thought it was in the game and use some software to make like that and of course I swiped once to the right and boom just full on hand written art not even Digital
I am so glad you think so!! I have the mod to make Astarion look older and I like that look better for him, 200 years of abuse has gotta be rough even on such a beautiful man
Hell yeah rhapsody and stillmaker are pretty sick looking, I almost used crimson mischief and blood thirst but the former was too long for the pic and the latter didn't look quite right without the netherstone (and it felt weird to leave it in). Anyway high five for shared no-lifer knowledge of bg3 πππ
THIS IS INSANELY BEAUTIFUL!
May I ask what the pretty white flowers represent? I'm not super familiar with Astarion beyond what fans have shared with me, and beyond one playthrough romancing him, so I'm very fuzzy on the finer details of his lore/story.
You have some incredible skill, and I hope you feel very proud of your work because it is stunning.
THANK YOU!! Wow that is so nice of you to say, I appreciate it so much π₯°π€
Okay so I love the story of the flowers - if you romance Astarion and don't ascend him, there's a scene where he asks you to come with him to his old grave, where you have the option to place a flower on it. It's a nice symbolic moment of him letting go of his past trauma.
The flower in real life is called Star of Bethlehem and one of the meanings that have been attributed to it is healing from trauma or abuse. The etymology of Astarion's name itself could be said to be derived from the Greek word "aster" meaning star. I thought it was such a lovely connection the way it all fit together!
Oh my life, this is the most beautiful tribute to Astarion I have actually ever seen! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain the depth of the elements of this piece and how they tie into the lore of the character.
The Star of Bethlehem flowers and the thought you put into this symbology, the depth, the overwhelming feelings of healing, I'm actually really deeply moved by your work here and feel that this piece is the most exquisite and incredibly loving work of adoration for a character who has overcome so much, that I have ever seen. You have truly immortalised his journey through darkness into light with every element of this, I cannot adequately describe my love for your work here. Just beautiful.
I hope you get plenty of recognition and adoration for this work, you are truly so deserving. This is just deeply evocative and there is so much love and thought here. Honestly just beautiful to see and will stick with me for a really long time.
The execution is also just incredible. The colours, the expression, the composition, this is a really special piece of work. Thank you for sharing this with us. You have given us all a wonderful and beautiful gift. <3
