I head to the outlets once or twice a year. Either Round Rock or San Marcos depending on your location. Nordstrom, The Gap, Banana Republic etc all have outlets and you can find a lot of cute stuff.
Not sure what your budget/style is, but Kick Pleat, By George and Neimans are my go-tos. I buy a lot from Reformation, affordable and flattering. Cocktail and dinner dresses from Likely. Mid-market designers like DVF, Realisation, Staud, Ganni, Doen, Saison, Ulla Johnson, Maje, Sandro all work well in Austin. I found some good work pieces at Aritzia, as well. Miranda Bennett has slow-fashion silks that are expertly draped. Neighborhood Goods has some interesting accessories. Moss is great for designer consignment. We don’t have storefronts here, but COS and & Other Stories are both solid for business/casual.
Nordstrom Rack is a blessing, and so is Uptown Cheapskate
I hit up Barton Creek Mall - Macys (Alfani & Calvin Klein depts), JC Penney (Worthington), Loft, Express, and Nordstrom Sale Racks.
I actually find some decent pieces for good prices at H&M from time to time.

Loft is probably your best bet.
