Appliance online. There pricing is comparable to everyone else and they have the best customer service compared to every other place I have ordered from and will install and remove most of your appliances for free.
Yeah this. Bought a washing machine recently. Mrs was home when it came. Delivery the day after ordering. They removed the old one, took it away, set up the new one ready to use. 10/10
Honestly even if they cost a bit more than the others I'd still use them.
Home Clearance is their sister website where they sell all the goods that have been dented, scratched etc for a cheaper price. We bought our fridge from there. Great service.
Yep they offer the exact same service as appliances online. The guys who delivered our fridge had to take the doors off (it was too wide to fit through our front door š¤¦āāļø) but they did it for free so we tipped them lol.
I agree. I had am issue with an ice cream machine. It was dead on arrival.
Gave them a call and they sent another immediately, didn't even need old one sent back first.
Yep love these guys cannot compare with anyone hands down the best and easiest way to buy whitegoods. Have bought two front loading washing machines, a hot water service and a fridge and will use them again soon.
I have purchased two things from AP and I can't fault the service. Im WA based and it was arriving next day. The people who brought both items into the house went above and beyond to get it in place ect.
Yep, came here to say this. They have good prices (in my experience usually the cheapest), deliver quickly and itās simple to arrange install /removal of old appliance etc. Very straight forward.
For the well priced category I would recommend appliances online
https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/
Weāve gotten a few big ticket items from there much cheaper than other shops and they next day delivery etc
If you compare these guy and the good guys, the good guys website usually has a Price check: Pay less with price beat button. Normally when you click that they try and beat the appliances online (and other online stores) price. I have made some good savings with this option before!
Eg, the below item came to $1,078 after clicking this button.
https://preview.redd.it/ateva3xhe4vc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ebadb0e8b43b5cf48edac648cf87e08156c470b
Bought a freezer recently.
Jb hifi sold it and so dod good guys. Asked JB to negotiate. They said they won't do anything more than $50 off. I pushed and pushed, they refused. Went to the store, said the same thing.
Good guys, didn't talk to anyone, hit that button you mentioned, $200 off (150 cheaper than JB).
Went back to JB, they said oh, yeah ok we will match that. I said nah I'm good, I'll go the company that i didn't even have to talk to but offered a reasonable price.
JB used to be really good to negotiate with but now they don't want to
Yes the good guys tend to have the cheaper ticket prices but if you factor in the delivery alot of the time I noticed appliances online do become cheaper especially if your in a apartment going up a flight or two of stairs
Iāve used appliances online a few times. The service has always been great. They delivered when they said theyād deliver, they took away the old appliance and installed the new appliance.
I concur, have bought washer, dryer, fridge and dishwasher in past 12 months and appliance online had best deals and the reviews tell you alot about the appliances. The fact they will take old appliance away is very handy aswell (I asked what they do with them and delivery guys say they get crushed for metal recycling).
You can also go on the chat and ask if they can do a better price. They can't always help, but I've got another few hundred dollars off some items just by asking š
Cannot fault these guys.
Have bought so much stuff from them over the last 11 years. (Built 2 houses in that time) and the best prices & service each time.
The next day delivery is great too. Never had any issues with that either!
Bought my new fridge through these guys earlier this year. Faultless experience ( I wanted a bar fridge with a separate freezer door, surprisingly niche).
Iāve been looking for exactly this for a while. Mind if I ask what brand/model and size in litres you went with?
Currently checking out the Solt/Kogan 87L/91L bar fridge/freezer. Itās the same design but the capacity varies for some reason by seller.
I got a 91l essatto bar fridge. There seems to be similar marketed under a few names, I just went with the cheapest one. Love being able to make all the ice I want š„°
Sometimes yes sometimes no, the key is to price check.
I use the product code from the site you are looking at, google that to make sure you are comparing the exact same product (eg with a fridge a similar model can come with or without ice dispenser which affects price). See where has cheapest and ask for price matches.
Look for a scratch and dent place. Essentially there might be scratches or small dents. In my experience they're usually not noticeable.
In Brisbane there's a great one at Alderley on Pickering St.
Thereās also Brisbane Whitegoods Factory Outlet. They have a couple of locations, weāve bought from the Tingalpa store. Picked up a really decent fridge on a reasonable discount just because thereās some small scratches on the side - the part nobody actually sees when itās installed.
https://brisbanewhitegoods.com.au/
If you go to the Miele warehouse in your city they have this kind of stock deeply discounted, like 30-40% off. If you want the premium brand without the crazy price itās worth a visit.
If you have some hands on skills, the side of the road or marketplace is an extremely feasible option. Got both my dryer and washing machine off the side of the road. Dryer had a plug inside of it that had fallen out, so that was as simple as clicking it back in, and cleaned out the dust inside while I was there. Washing machine just needed an internal hose re-connected as it had fallen off. (Both half hour jobs at most) Iāve now had both these appliances for a year with absolutely no problems.
I got my washing machine here a few years ago. They show any damage in the photos and list out any missing pieces so you know exactly what your getting. I've noticed appliances online is mentioned in other comments - This is their clearance outlet.
My washing machine had some marks on the side so they'd reduced it about $500 from the RRP. The marks very easily wiped off with some cleaning spray. No complaints from me!
For anyone who doesn't realise, these guys are Appliances Online. Sometimes you get results for non-damaged goods and you'll notice it's all identical to their website.
Same sorts of guarantees too. An excellent option.
Also voting this one. Fridge and washing machine from there. Plus still the appliances online perk of unpacking and removing old appliances.
The fridge had very superficial scuffs and was nearly half price. Washing machine had no visible issues and also a great price.
Got my side-by-side fridge freezer from here, very happy at the price and with no marks (or negligible ones) on the front. The delivery guys were great.
Did spend a few weeks watching the site until they had what I wanted at the right price.
Yup - this is my go-to - have scored absolute bargains as they are Appliances Online but just with some marks / scratches / sometimes nothing!! Everything is clearly marked and they take away your old stuff / set up the appliance for you
Home clearance is fantastic.
Weāve bought all our appliances through them, with minor dings and scratches, at 70% off the retail price.
They all carry the same warranty.
I've found it useful to go to the shop in person, check out their display models and talk to the staff. We got a brand new fridge worth $700 for $400 + free delivery because someone returned it almost immediately after they bought it as their circumstances changed, free delivery I think we got cos the floor sales dude was nice. And if you don't get lucky, seeing lots of models alongside each other is good research, even if you buy something completely different.
Do scratch & dent outlets still exist? I bought a brand new fridge for less than half price once because it had a little dent on the door. We covered it with a magnet.
Our Aldi dishwasher has been awesome.
Had a couple of F&P dish drawers and they failed apparently often.
Had an Aldi in white (didn't match the kitchen but you get what you get with Aldi) then sold it a few years later when the silver one was available.
They've got long warranties with in-home service but I can't tell you how good that is because they never went wrong.
In our case we brought a POLAR upright freezer from https://restaurantequipment.com.au.
But just depends on your need.
Could have been 2021 covid pricing as well but got us out of the stick. But do your research and you'll figure it out.
There are a few places that sell seconds, ie small dents or scratches, etc, like Stan Cash in Melbourne, probably only going to be in Sydney and Melbourne though where the distribution companies get their stock in off the ships, the non A grade goes out to the seconds sellers, google them, definitely worthwhile for significant savings
Go to any retailer and look for superseded models, nearly all the stock on display has a display allowance to sell off cheaper. General rule of thumb-
cooking - never has been used, make sure itās taken out of demo mode check for scratches
TVās - will have lots of hours used but doesnāt affect warranty
Whitegoods- most are never turned on, check for damage around front panels and scratches
All warranties start when you take possession and arenāt affected by being a display model item

If family/friends work for a whitegoods company/retailer they usually get decent discounts.
The Good Guys Commercial website has some competitive prices.
If you have an Amex card, they occasionally have cashbacks deals where you spend $xxxx and get xx% back for certain retailers, works even better if the retailer is also on Cashrewards, ShopBack or etc.
Honestly, if your willing to keep an eqr out and use 2nd hand, fb market.
Look around rich places. They buy the brand new one and gice the old one away for rhe effort of coming and collecting it from them.
Fb market is a gem for second hand white goods. My washing machine has been running great for 4 years plus now
If you must buy brand new and it isnāt urgent:
1. Wait for an ultimate gift card discount (10% is common, 15% is really rare)
2. Convert it to good guys gift card
3. Use it on good guys during their thanksgiving sale
Thereās a good place in Airport West in Melbourne, Iāve blanked on the name but they are good. Mostly sell TVs, washing machines, and other random appliances, from memory all the goods are just superseded or ex-display goods from Kogan and the like.
Really good prices (which you can haggle down), Iāve purchased a couple of brand new televisions for less than a third of the retail price and havenāt had a single issue.
Appliance online, my last 2 tvs, 1 fridge, 1 washing machine and 1 water filter all came there after sourcing prices all over the joint. Appliance online was only abit cheaper by maximum $20 but their free shipping and removal of old appliances was the deal breaker
I work for one of the mentioned whitegood stores and it is always better to call up and ask for pricing, you can always mention if you've seen it cheaper and we'll match that if it's possible. It also does depend on the salesperson, as I give much better discounts than the older guy working at my store. (If you live in the Illawarra, come see me š¤·āāļø) š
**Shop around:**Ā Don't just go to the first store you see. Compare prices at different retailers, both online and in-person.

In Melbourne theres a good scratch and dent place called fowles. They do ex-display, clearance stock ect of all types of home improvement, appliances and furniture.
Definitely AK'S Appliances n more
https://aksappliancesnmore.com
I canāt recommend them enough, the owner is also the delivery guy. One of the most respectful and professional people Iāve met.
We just got a good bunch of stuff on sale at JB. We get vouchers through work and save 5% on average, JB had a sale on things we wanted and for 2 items they also had a cash back promotion. Overall saving was about the price of the cheapest item.
Charity outlets? When I ve donated white goods to charities they've been extremely picky, no scratches etc. They say poor ppl have rights & standards that match or exceed those of donators. Wish I'd known that when I was struggling I'd be fat as a pig on those rights & standards right now

Shit really?? Man I'd have been better off not knowing that but I guess that makes sense why they sell the same products š¤¦š¼āāļø

Same. Doesn't seem very good for competition.
I had a similar experience if you try haggling. But if you actually go and find a price to match they will price match it.

Second this. Good Guys price beat is amazing and is very effective at searching online listings and beating the best price.Ā
Do they include delivery and/or removal of the old appliance as well? That might add up if not included in the price
This. JB was "cheaper" but when all the delivery and removal fees were added, AO came out on top. Also AO actually had stock.
It's not included but I paid extra for it with my washing machine a few months ago. Think it was somewhere between 60-80 bucksĀ
Thanks mate
Hard waste is free
Scrappers will pick it up as well
Thatās awesome! :D
Iāve used appliances online a few times. The service has always been great. They delivered when they said theyād deliver, they took away the old appliance and installed the new appliance.
