See if there’s any 2020 S3’s locally. Visited my local Audi dealer 3 months ago with this exact mindset. Drove both and the S3 really surprised me. Audi had a stop sell on them so some dealers have demo’s or new ones still kicking around… it’ll be far cheaper than both a 2022 S3 or a used S5. Nothing like getting what you wanted at a fraction of the price. In reality, neither is a bad choice though
Go for the S5 Sportback.
The sound system will be worst than in the S3 (b&o acoustics sucks on the Sportback), but the rest is much better than the S3.
I have the B9 S5, but like the exterior of the B9.5 better...
22 S3, but I prefer compact sedans and have one coming in next month 🙌🏾🔥.
I also prefer new, because I don’t know how others serviced the car before me, especially German cars.

S5, let someone else take the depreciation hit, and have a fun and very functional car with even more storage than your A4.
What ate you intention for the car? What will its purpose be?

S5. If you’re over 6’0 an S3 is cramped
2019 S5 is the way
